Loveeeee this place! I'm a sucker for a good cocktail bar and this is a great one! Excellent service with a great drink selection. Cozy and cute but enough space for larger groups. Weekends do get busy though so try to make a reservation if possible!

I've been dying to try this place out. Completely walked past it the first pass, but luckily the concierge was able to help us out and pointed us the inside the right direction. So, speakeasy entrance, achieved! Once we walked in through the gold door, we were able to grab some seats at the bar. The interior is very chic, with plenty of lounge seating and art. I ordered The Nightwatch and my husband ordered the Espresso Martini. His was delicious, mine did not suit my palate at that moment because I neglected to see that it contained absinthe. Had I not indulged in many other libations on Bridge street, I'm positive that I would have enjoyed it more! My drink came with an optional bump of caviar (uncharge of $18) which I considered getting, but I ultimately passed on it as I knew I wouldn't be able to appreciate it to the fullest extent. The prices of the drinks here are indeed quite high compared to other cocktail bars downtown, but it's a nice addition and something different to experience downtown!

    $18 gin + $20 old-fashioned = way too much

Quite pricey.... Also felt swindled a bit. Total came to $50 with tip for two (good but not great) drinks. One old fashioned and one gin bevvie. Very disappointed and way overpriced to return. Feel like they might have added a service charge or gratuity without telling us. Watch your bill!

That said, it is pretty painless. You can sign up on the spot and the email with the code comes through within minutes, so it does not slow things down too much. They offer outdoor seating even in the winter, and while it is technically heated, you will still need a coat. It was cold enough that we chose to sit inside instead, but the interior was also chilly. Every time the door to the patio opened, a draft of cold air rushed in, which made the space feel colder than expected. The drinks are on the expensive side, but the quality mostly backs up the price. I ordered the Donna's Kiss and it was absolutely worth it, very well made and delicious. My friend had a Moscato that was sweet and easy to drink. We also ended up getting two free shots of tequila because they liked our vibes , which was a nice and unexpected bonus! Definitely a great move on their behalf because it just goes to show that the staff there were super welcoming and that makes me want to come back (probably when it's warmer!!).

Happy to finally check this place out after walking by it SO many times and trying to figure out how to get here! Thank you to @emilyingrandrapids for the info!

Although it is small with limited seating, I think it makes it difficult for reservations as they cannot always clear the table at your reservation time. But in their defense, I can see how you would want to spend more time at your table catching up with friends or a loved one with how intimate this restaurant is. However, I thought the food was excellent. It was all perfectly cooked and displayed eloquently. The handmade pasta most certainly did not disappoint. The ingredients tasted fresh. I personally enjoy when the plates are smaller, it's always fun to share with others. Though it would be worth mentioning that each plate is quite pricey but I thought it was worth the cost.

Started with an amuse bouche which had too much balsamic. The polpo had amazing, spicy sauce and would've been outstanding except the octopus was quite chewy. The vongole was good except, for me, the homemade pasta was under cooked. The star was the tagliatelle which was phenomenal. I don't like mushrooms because of the rubbery texture but these chanterelles were perfect as was the sauce and pasta. They gave us a little complementary bit of cake which was a nice way to end the meal.

The pistachio syrup was legit - there were actual pistachio chunks and no fake pistachio extract flavor. i definitely would have preferred my drink sweeter though. i was also impressed by the drink to ice ratio. so many iced drinks are mostly ice but this matcha was FULL and not overly diluted with milk. i really enjoyed the flavor of the matcha itself as well. my partner said he'd give his latte a 9.1 out of 10. unfortunately there do not seem to be any vegan food options so it will be drinks only for us.

It was a hot day, but after work the patio was out of the sun, so we opted for a table outside. The patio is cute. I like that there are a bunch of 2 person tables rather than large party tables, and the lights are nice. Our server was very pleasant. She definitely knew what she was talking about and was able to tell us if something was going to be super sweet, and which drinks were more popular. Also, after she seated us and gave us the menu she gave us a few minutes and came back with waters and little samples of lavender lemonade, which was really good! I ordered the rosemary gin fizz, and my friend ordered one of the zero proof mocktails. She was warned it would be sweet, and she said it was definitely sweet for her taste. I was told my gin fizz was a little sweet as well, but I didn't find it to be overly sweet. I thought it was really nicely balanced, and wasn't excessive on any of the individual flavors. I was hoping for a little more of a salted rim, but it had more of a decorative salt patch on the side. That's the only thing I would probably change about it. Oh, and it's called a fizz, but is definitely still, not sparkling. While we weren't there to eat, and it is a distillery, not a restaurant, I did expect to see a few more food options. I can't knock them for that though, as we didn't try any. Overall, I would go back here for a quick happy hour or to have a quick drink again before an event. I liked the space, the service was great, and the cocktail was really pleasant.

We ordered the deviled eggs as a starter. They were made with dijon and cornichons, topped with paprika, chives and lardon. Such a delicious bite. Hubby had the salmon tacos from the daily special menu. He loved the Spanish rice that came on the plate and the perfectly seasoned moist salmon. I had the seafood tagliatelle with shrimp, crab, salmon belly, fennel, and capers in a vodka sauce topped with toasted breadcrumbs. It was amazing! Thankfully, we had a refrigerator in our hotel room because I took half the tagliatelle to go. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're ever in the Grand Rapids area.
