I'm used to sitting in the chair for 5hrs for a blow out but I was done in about 1hr 20mins. the first time I came (pre hair dyed) it was 40mins ! some of the ladies seem a little standoff-ish and are rough washing and straightening but if your not chatty or just care about the work getting done well it won't bug you much.

I texted and called the braider to communicate I was not happy with how the braids were looking. The lines were not straight and the braids were bumpy/uneven (possibly due to using too much weave). The braider reported in our phone call that my pictures were bad pictures and too dark to give an accurate depiction of her work. I disagreed with her, citing the lines are visible regardless of how dark or bright the pictures were (they were not dark). She advised to take a look at the end result in better lighting to see a better view of the braids. I, again, let her know we intend to finish the appt, but I am providing feedback that I do not like the look of the braids. Following the appt, my husband sent more pictures and eventually I saw them in person when they got home. The braids look just as they did from the pictures. The lines are NOT straight and the braids look like a beginner just learning the craft. My biggest issue is the lack of accountability. The owner/braider dismissed my feedback about the braids and the fact that she was 45 minutes late. I was also charged a $6+ service charge for using our debit card to pay. We paid via Zelle last time. She noted my husband is an adult and could have paid another way (we'll take that loss). But her response, rude. She noted "everyone charges a service charge for using cards". No apology. No attempt to rectify the concerns. Just dismissed their bad work. I came here once before and had decent service. Braids were nice, but could have been better. I was giving this salon another try and thought simple box braids can't be messed up. I was wrong. We won't be back. Neither will my sister and her daughter, who were also customers here (my referral source).

When I first moved to Fort Lauderdale, I thought I found a salon, but was too inconsistent results and I was bounced around different stylists. Kept trying out some places , lots of just ok or bad experiences and even stopped keeping up my color or highlights because I just couldn't find anyone great who I could trust. Well....luckily I saw an intro to her new studio she made on a neighbor site a couple years ago and decided to check her out. She had just moved here from another city and her profile looked great. Thought I would try her services out, and I am so happy I did! I typically keep my hair medium to long, and we've tried a few different styles of layers, non layers, she colors perfectly, and I always walk out with amazing hair.
