The restaurant is in a strip mall. There was a large television on the wall playing a cartoon. At first it was unclear whether to seat ourselves or order at the counter, but we were instructed to sit down. The waiter was nice. The food came out promptly and it was good.

After a disappointing start to our day running our Sunday errands we decided to stop at our favorite Vietnamese restaurant for a midday snack. We ordered the Rangoons and I ordered the #9 Banh Mi, the pork with pate. It was as delicious as ever and is one of my favorites! The rangoons were so delicious! Crispy and light and were exactly what we were craving. My boyfriend got the Strawberry slush and that was so yummy on a hot day. Always delicious and satisfying here. Can't beat their $8 banh mi!! Very nice people who run this place too. Highly recommended

After a long hiatus, I made my return to Saigon Bistro with my buddy George F. On 07/01/2025. We got here at around 11am, just before the lunch rush. The interior looked pretty much the same as my last visit about eight years ago. They did a nice job keeping the place clean. We got an order of fried calamari, a couple bowls of Pho Dac Biet, and an iced coffee. The total, with a tip, was about $55. The calamari was so-so. I could tell it was the premade frozen stuff. The Pho Dac Biet was slightly above average. The broth and the meat toppings were decent, but the noodles were overcooked, which affected the overall experience. I hope they will correct that. Service we received was good. The staff were friendly. All in all, I would say they are average. Pho Lee Hoa Phat in Pacheco has a slight edge over them.

Tucked in Park and Shop is this wonderful Vietnamese place that has all kinds of tasty treats! the restaurant is comfortable and clean and has chill music playing. Their BBQ Bahn Mi sandwich was delicious and was served on a great baguette. If you're looking for a flavorful sandwich this is you spot! The Pho is also very tasty with fresh garnishes and comforting broth. They also have great smoothies and boba. High recommend of you are in the area and want some Vietnamese food.

Really good Banh mi sandwiches for a reasonable price. Really light, airy and great flavors! Loved the pho and even after splitting a small one we had leftovers! Definitely a heart lunch spot. The service was also really good but not too much. Perfect comfort food on a chilly winter day.

Cozy spot with ample choices for Vietnamese food. We tried the crab Rangoon, Vietnamese ice coffee, bun Bo hue, & a large pho dac biet w/egg noodle. Everything came out within 15 min of ordering which was great! Not busy at all on a Sunday afternoon at 2pm either and staff were very friendly. We felt that our noodles in both dishes were cooked a bit too soft for our preference & the flavor of the bun Bo hue broth was on the lighter side and not spicy. Great portion sizes!

The best papaya salad of this area . We had papaya salad from other restaurants salted and less papaya.

This place is a little hidden. The sandwich had a sl good crunch a d lots of meat. The Eggrolls were perfectly cooks and was great with the lettuce and fish sauce. The spring rolls was good. Can't go wrong with spring rolls. Definitely would come back and try the pho to compare to Kevin's Noodle House which is around the ciorner

It's a decent banh mi that does the job! Around the concord area, there isn't many options and was craving for a banh mi. I was greeted by someone at the front who was super nice. Didn't take any pics of the interior but it looked like a good place to eat dine-inn. I ordered the grilled chicken banh mi and I noticed that there wasn't enough chicken or sauce for my liking but over decent banh mi.

Small Vietnamese restaurant with good food and awesome Service! The ambiance are OK average but overall good food service and right price for the food!

It's been a while since I've tried this place since it is a little far from home but it still has the best Bun Rieu around (48. Tomato Noodle Soup with Tofu, Pork Patty and Mince Shrimp)! It is so fresh and has all the toppings for this complex but refreshingly delicious dish. I'll definitely be coming back more often for this :D

I was truly impressed with the customer service that Tam gave me. He went above and beyond--offering to package each banh mi sandwich in its own bag, helping me label what was in each one, and even offering to carry everything out to my car. I've honestly never experienced such thoughtful service. He was incredibly polite and kind. The sandwiches themselves were fantastic, especially for the price. Everyone I shared them with loved them--and that says a lot, because they're very picky when it comes to banh mi. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish. Highly recommended!

A decent Vietnamese restaurant with a variety of different dishes. It is hidden in the back/corner, so it's easy to miss, since most of the stores and other restaurants are facing the other way and this restaurant's main entrance is on the side building. We ordered cream cheese wontons and two rice plates. One grilled chicken rice plate and one pork chop rice plate combo. The combo includes one egg roll and fried egg. The rice plates come with a side of soup broth, which was really good. Everything came out to about $35-$37, which was a really good price for everything that we ordered! Also, considering how big the portions were as well! Bathrooms were out of toilet paper, napkin dispenser was out (had to request more napkins, but servers were very prompt). There was a fly that was buzzing around our table, which made it annoying and difficult to eat our meal. However, food was enjoyable and we would come back again if we're craving viet food!

The grilled pork sandwich (banh mi thi nuong - $8) was juicy with fresh and finely chopped daikon vegetables.

Ask the Community - Saigon Bistro

I just drove by and sign said Oda Sushi but still had pics of Bahn Mis in window. Is Saigon Bistro still open?

Yes, they are now a sushi/pho place!

Does anyone know how Saigon Bistro prepares the tofu in the vegetarian Banh mi? It's the best and I can't figure out how to make it!

Not sure how they make it specifically, but look up vietanamese restaurant style lemongrass tofu. That should give you an idea. Also, figure they probably add more seasoning than you would at home.…

There is a lot of parking since it is in the Safeway shopping center in Downton PH. We were sat right away and looking at the menu, a lot of the dishes felt more modern than traditional (when I compare it to other Vietnamese restaurants I go to). Decided to go with my comfort dish, which is Grilled Pork Rice Plate. Grilled Pork Rice Plate: I opted for brown rice for a healthier approach. The pork was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. It was also not dry and had a good amount of flavor to it. It sat on a bed of lettuce, which gave it a nice presentation. Overall, a simple dish which I thoroughly enjoyed and had leftovers after. I had a great time eating lunch with my parents and my partner. I look forward to coming here again.

For appetizers, we tried their crispy rolls. The husband couldn't eat these because they had some shrimp in them, but more for the kids and me. Came with a side of fish sauce, and overall was pretty tasty. My son isn't too big on pho, so he tried a pork chop plate and the garlic noodles. He said both were good. He ate it all, so actions match his words there. My daughter mentioned the chicken pho she had contained a lot of chicken and she likes it that way. She also noticed the better quality of meat and bigger portions. Their special pho is an XL size and comes with the shortrib on the bone. I need to come back here very hungry to devour that or at least split that and other stuff with a friend. I've had their other beef pho, and they were good. Def good quality beef. There was a time where I wanted a certain combo without the meatballs and requested they added more of their tendon and tripe instead, but it seems they just took out the meatballs since there were just a couple pieces of tendon in there. The noodles really cooked within the broth. It was interesting since the broth didn't feel too hot as I was able to eat / drink it right away, but the noodles ended up much softer than I'd like. Casual setting here with the tables, cashier, some TV on the walls, etc.

I specifically asked for medium because I was on a date, not trying to audition for a gastrointestinal stuntman role. The second that food hit my mouth, my body reacted like I'd just bitten into a battery acid gummy. It felt like my mouth was cut and within minutes, I was riding a wave of nausea. By the time we got home, my stomach was auditioning for a volcano documentary. I brought the dish back to the counter and politely told the waitress this was not medium. She nodded, gave me a knowing look, and said, "We'll let the back know." And that was it. No replacement. No apology. She offered a glass of milk with just a little chuckle--like we'd been the victims of a prank show and the cameras were about to pop out. Now I realize why they made me pay and tip first. Because if I'd tasted that plate before handing over my card, that tip would've been as small as my remaining taste buds. To the owner, I know your place is better than this. it feels like your staff may be sabotaging your business. Good luck to you and your customers.
