I have been going to Saika Beauty for a lash lift for over two years now, and they are the best. My natural lashes are short and stick-straight--but they do an amazing job with what little there is to work with. Every 6 weeks or so, my lashes get a lift + tint from the lovely Yuki. She selects the most flattering curl style for my particular eye shape. And although my lashes are naturally dark, tinting visually lengthens them by darkening the thinnest part at the tip of each lash (that are otherwise nearly invisible). Getting a lash lift + tint is a game changer--I now have lashes! No more wasting time with eyelash curlers! On the rare occasions when I want to go all out with my makeup, applying mascara takes it to the next level and makes my lifted eyelashes look like falsies. Yuri is amazing and my lashes always come out perfectly! Both her and Saika, the owner are so sweet and the two run this shop together. To find the shop, it's a narrow walkway up located on the 2nd floor between Starbucks and Parakeet cafe. There's a garage on the same side street that lets you park for 2 hours for free. I've been coming to Saika Beauty for two years and I've never felt the need to go to anyone else! The price is reasonable- I pay $90 for a lash lift and it's always finished within an hour. Every time I go Yuri always asks what I want or they keep a log of what I've done previously so I don't have to describe anything which I appreciate. Just had my first appointment with Yuri and had such a great experience! It was super easy to get an appointment and Saika was super great at scheduling me in and answering my questions. Yuri was really sweet as soon as I walked in the door even when I was super apologetic for being 5 minutes late from LA traffic. I quickly filled out a form and Yuri asked me if I would prefer a more natural or more dramatic lift. I went with a more dramatic lift. As soon as she started working on my eyelashes I could tell she was really taking her time and giving her attention to each individual lash to make sure they were treated and lifted. I was so comfortable the whole time and she was incredibly gentle. She took her time and my eyes never felt uncomfortable or hurt during the process. An hour later I came out with lifted lashes that looked great and each lash really was really lifted, even the super hard ones to reach in the corners of my eyes! I was happy with the punctuality and friendliness of the staff. The process was smooth. This was my first time getting a lash lift so I didn't know what to expect but overall it was good. I am only a little unhappy due to that my curl was not done symmetrically. the innermost eyelashes are much more curled than the outer most lashes. She introduced me to many kinds of REAL MINK HAIR, and allowed me to feel them and see if I like the texture. she asked for my advices base on what the results I seek. it took her 1hr30mins to do my lashes, because my eyes were a lil sensitive due to the last lash extension; she was extremely patient and careful. I love Saika. She did my extensions for like two years, and she would still be doing them except that I moved away. I have dreams where she moves to where I am now and does my extensions again. At first I had short little weak lashes and she was able to work with them and determine the best lash size for my situation. Then after I used Latisse my lashes grew longer and there was more for the extensions to hold on to. Either way she was phenomenal. I've seen all kinds of busted lashes on other women but Saika never made me look anything but beautiful. I've been getting my eyelashes done by Saika for almost 1.5 years now. I absolutely adore her. She is very sweet, thoughtful, and meticulous - all the right ingredients for a consistently enjoyable experience. I'm always 5 minutes late (shame on me -___-) and she has never once made me feel anything but welcomed and appreciated when I arrive. She even texts me telling me to drive safe and not hurry - what a gem! Her company is technically called Sakura Beauty, although it is located inside Bella Cara. Her price is mid-range for eyelash extensions, and the quality is outstanding. I'm blond so my eyelashes are almost non-existent looking without makeup. This has lead me to almost always wearing makeup outside the house. With the extensions, I've cut my make-up time in half and often don't even wear eyeliner or mascara. I go once a month and they stay on really great. Start falling off a little after week 3, but I'm cheap so I go the 4 weeks. I get compliments on them all the time. Love love love. I was her customer from her previous place but i followed to her new place and am still her loyal customer and super happy that i can still see her. There is a reason for me to go to a japanese esthetician when i can go to so much cheaper places. They are detail-oriented. She is very thorough and spend her time to give you the right satisfaction. She listens to what you want, and once you open your eyes after long deep sleep during the extension tx,(i always fall in a sleep lol), you will be satisfied. If you are not, she will try at the next appt to choose the right fake lashes. I wanted to have a natural look with my lashes and it is really hard as an asian since i originally have thin, short, and pathetic lashes :(. But people around me told me it looks natural and sometimes i get compliments that i have long pretty lashes. Haha! That was not from my mom but from Saika. :P The lashes usually stay more than three weeks for me. You just need to make sure not to wash your face thoroughly for one or two days ( esp around your eyes) or dont take a shower on the same day you did the extension. So, i always take a shower right before the appt. This place can be a little bit pricy or reasonable to you ( not a cheap place) but your lashes deserve better extension!
