My wife and I were on our way to Farmer's Commons and wanted to kill some time before our…read morereservation. I did a search for coffee in Florence, and this place came up with good reviews. I'm sure I've been in a Dwell coffee in another location, so I'm guessing its a small chain. The place was dimly lit, clean and not very busy. A large coffee grinder sits at the front of the store (not sure if they use it, or it's just for show). There looked like enough seats to sit and work or study, and their seats were comfy, too. In the far corner, they had two local business' selling their wares, which I thought was great. One sold pots and plants, but I can't remember what the other one was selling. The shop also sells beers, hence the sub-name calling out coffee & tap. They had a small merch area (as most coffeeshops do now) and I really liked their growler bottles, but couldn't purchase one without filling it with beer (I don't drink beer, so that sucked). I asked for a Flat White (which wasn't on the menu) which the barista quickly replied that she hadn't had much experience with but would create one for me. I agreed and got the drink.  I didn't try any of their pastries/food, so I have no opinion there (maybe next time). It wasn't as rich as I was expecting, but it was flavorful. I may try a cappuccino on my next visit. For this area of Florence, I don't think there's a coffeeshop as good as this one, and I will be sure to return next time I'm nearby.

Great spot, nice ppl, excellent beverages, and the donuts were very good…read more Worth the drive!

It has been a few years since my husband and I tried this place (*think it just opened when we…read morefirst tried it in 2022). Back then, my husband was not happy, you could not order coffee at the table, you had to go to the other side and get coffee and then bring to to the table if you wanted breakfast. Well, a LOT has changed with this place since then. #1...they will bring you what ever coffee you want to order, and they will pick up from next door and bring it to you (husband was happy about that). #2, they now serve lunch and dinner (*we didn't try that yet, but will be back to try that later). Now, Rebecca our server was so nice! She put up with my husband's "shanigans", as he always tries to joke about with everyone! He was hungry, so got the "Big Ol' Breakfast", which had your eggs, half a ham steak, sausage, bacon (Oh, sooo good) breakfast potatoes (could have been just a little more "crisped up), and pancakes!! He cleaned his plate!! LOL! I had (and did not realize until I read my last review, I had "half" of same I ordered before), the Benedict Sampler (where you can choose TWO of benedicts). I got the "Southwest Steak" (*which is what I had last time..LOL), ohhh soo good! If you like "Spicy"...get this...the green chiles and cilantro-lime sauce make this dish! Then, the other one was the "Golden State" with tomato, bacon and avocado (*and little spice too with Siracha sauce on top), and also had the very good breakfast potatoes! Rebecca checked on us often, and we were both glad we came back to this place! We will be back again!

Brunch on a weekend around here isn't that easy to obtain. It seems the blooming population has…read moreoverloaded the volume of brunch capability. The good news is there are several places that have waitlists and there are even some places that take reservations so if you're planning includes a time that's likely to attract a lot of diners. I would suggest that would be the way to decide your destination. We did in fact, use the waitlist Sunday at Perky Beans. It allowed us to see how many parties were in front of us and advised that we would be texted when our table was ready. We waited about a half hour in our vehicle until we were texted and then headed in and we were seated immediately. Junny was our server. She seated us and gave us menus. I ordered a Hazelnut Coffee and a Virgin Mary(bloody Mary without the alcohol). My granddaughter ordered Water. We took a few minutes looking over the menus. There were quite a few options. Lots of tempting items, but it's hard for me to turn down biscuits and gravy since I love homemade biscuits and unfortunately mine don't turn out-2 eggs and home fried potatoes accompanied that. My granddaughter ordered the " sample the Eggs Benedict," which offered her the option of choosing two half Benedicts offered-which is a great way to determine your preference. She also opted for the home fried potatoes. Right about then Junny went and got my Virgin Mary, which they had really done up nicely! It was every bit as pretty as the alcoholic version with a nice crisp celery, stick, and a Gerkin pickle, Green olive and fresh Orange section. It was very tasty. We waited about 40 minutes for our food. It was very busy and I think it's difficult to manage the coffee side of the café along with the dining room side especially on a very busy Sunday. (That is why I deducted one star from our rating.) It did appear that they had adequate service staff, of course we couldn't observe the kitchen area so not sure how many cooks. We did enjoy the restaurant as a whole and we do plan to return to order some of the other delicious offerings on the menu. Fantastic to have a great brunch option right in Leander!!!

There was ample parking in a strip mall lot. Tables were pushed together to accommodate our group. No other customers. Inside decor was pleasant. There was a plastic basket with a few napkins and some unwrapped knives and forks on the tables. Seemed unsanitary. Everything became a process for us as patrons. Coffee cups were tiny and refills were not gotten unless requested. Then wait. Refilling at one end of the group of tables and passing refilled cups down the table was the process. . Had to request coffee creamer. The ordering at either end of the table by 2 waitresses. Food delivery was chaotic. One cook (owner) who made the food - about 2 entrees at a time. Servers came out with plates held up in the air that we had to figure out whose breakfast it was. Dysfunctional. Several were not quite right - meat, egg prep or potatoes vs fruit. Being respectful, ladies waited a bit to eat since not everyone was served. When it was clear food service was not going to make it possible for everyone to eat at the same time, those who had food were encouraged to eat while their food was at least warm. Servers didn't provide or offer syrup, butter and sufficient utensils. At least we were able to visit despite the chaos created by the inept servers. My meal was one of the last served and I'd lost interest. By this time - more than 30 minutes after first ones were delivered - I felt awkward then eating when others were long finished and ready to leave. Owner came out and apologized for service issues bc of hiring/training. Small business enigma. She was more focused on explaining buffet type meals offered on different days and catering ops. Time to go and no checks - individual or otherwise. Had to pay at a counter where the 2 servers stood trying to attribute their order tickets to each of us after we listed our order. Baked goods at the register but servers didn't try to promote. Issues with credit cards so most used cash. Sorry but I can't recommend.

Amazing food, great coffee, and such a fun little store! I definitely bought too much and had zero regrets. Lunch was unforgettable. The jacked-up club sandwich with deli-carved meat was incredible and huge, easily enough for two people to share. The honey latte was such a treat, perfectly balanced and comforting. What truly made the experience stand out was the people and the purpose. The wonderful woman who took my order was learning the POS system and is a participant in their training program. She was kind, capable, and welcoming, and it was clear she was being supported, not rushed. It felt good to be part of that moment. We also popped next door to Sunflower Hill and purchased the most beautiful handmade items: a wind chime, a soap dish, and a candle. Each piece came with the story of the person who crafted it, which made them feel like true treasures, not just purchases. This company is doing something really special: making a genuine difference in people's lives while offering an outstanding product and experience. It was an unforgettable lunch, filled with heart, intention, and joy....and we will absolutely be back.

When you go in, find a seat and grab a menu, then order at the register. Your food will be delivered to your table. A friend and I recently had a long weekday lunch, with both of us having sandwiches. Sandwiches came with a choice of sides. I had a chicken salad sandwich, which was served on a croissant, and a cup of broccoli cheese soup. The chicken salad was wonderful, but the croissant was dry. The soup was very good. My friend had a grilled cheese sandwich and a salad. Her sandwich was loaded with cheese. The baked goods at the counter looked scrumptious, but we did not partake. I would definitely return for the food, but also because the profits go to a good cause.
