Forrest Coffee House, you are a CUTE shop! My husband and I walked in and were immediately floored at how well everything was put together. The coffee shop was very clean and well kept - inside and out. Another woman walked in after us, it was very obvious it was her first time too... she couldn't stop saying how cute the whole place was. We were greeted by a sweet young woman who was very helpful and knowledgeable. I ordered a decaf iced vanilla latte (I'm pregnant) and my husband ordered a hot caramel vanilla latte. We added two potato, egg, and cheese tacos with green salsa. The coffee was absolute perfection. The house vanilla flavor was delightful. We sat inside and enjoyed our food and drink. After, we went outside and enjoyed the very well shaded outdoor area. There's plenty of outdoor seating - picnic tables. They also had a yard Connect 4 game available - this was cute. What a great little coffee shop we have found!! One of my biggest angers about living in the country is not having a coffee shop with PASTRIES that's open late... And lo and behold, we have one now!! Thank you!!!! On to the coffee.... I ordered a cappuccino and caramel latte. My cappuccino was absolutely a close my eyes take me back to Venice.... Not beach... Waking up in Italy to a cappuccino and a cornetto is a great memory... This definitely took me there. The flavor was rich, frothy and bold... What's great is also being able to taste the notes of the bean.. specially in a cappuccino. My bride took on the Caramel Latte.. they did a superb job. She usually adds a ton of sugar to everything... Tonight she went extremely light because of how good it was as it was made. The cornetto (croissant) was very good... Warmed up just right... Buttery And the perfect crunch... Flakey love. I on the other hand had the coffee cake. Hmmm. Not the best... Not the worst either but, needs a little work. It was a little dry, it lacked a little sweetness and cinnamon. Just my palate probably... I like desserts.... Lol We'll come back and try a few different things and update as we do .. they are open late so definitely be back. Btw.... It's clearly laziness disguised as caring customer service. Other baristas look like a deer in headlights and don't really know much about what they are doing. Forrest Coffee House is exactly what Liberty Hill needs. A space to sit, relax and enjoy quality coffee. Breakfast tacos are delectable. Drip coffee is strong. Having a light roast option would be awesome. Ordering a latte with almond or oat milk is a little pricey ($7+) but they're delicious. $1 up charge for alternative milk is way too much but this is my only qualm. What a great coffee/beer/wine bar. Coffees are far beyond your typical chain coffee houses. The breakfast tacos, pastries and cookies are delicious. The indoor ambiance is inviting, cozy and classy. The outdoors are great for large party get togethers and altogether just a fun venue. Wi-Fi is great for remote work or a video call. I spent half a day there working remote. Owner made sure to let me know it would be a short delay. This is by far my favorite coffee house in Texas! The atmosphere is absolutely wonderful! So welcoming and homey. Our whole family has tried various drinks here, and everything has been great! I especially love their teas. The quality of the teas they use is top-notch. Their London Fog is the best I've had anywhere. Their chamomile tea is made from fresh, loose chamomile and is fantastic!
