One woman manages quite well on a quiet Saturday, and her name is Elizabeth - elegant and poised as a queen. The warm wood floors and cozy mid-century furniture make me feel right at home working indoors, although outdoors hosts plenty of picnic tables and extra space for families and weekend events (game night, a plus!). This place is so cute! I'm only in the area today for work, and I'm so happy I discovered this hidden gem of a coffee house! Super cozy vibes, comfortable furniture, and very friendly staff. My wife, who's quite particular about her coffee since she often makes her own at home, was pleasantly surprised by the sugar-free latte she ordered. It struck the right balance--not too sweet, yet flavorful enough to satisfy her discerning taste. I opted for a hot tea, which was perfect. The added bonus? The location right by the baseball field meant our boys could play while we enjoyed our drinks without feeling rushed. Overall, it was a successful outing, and we left impressed. Staff is always welcoming and just a good, calm vibe all around. I got my usual iced americano and my partner a beer on draft. It's a great spot to meet up and connect and a must visit when in the area. I had their chai snickerdoodle that day and it was the right hit of spice with delight. Forrest Coffee House, you are a CUTE shop! My husband and I walked in and were immediately floored at how well everything was put together. The coffee shop was very clean and well kept - inside and out. Another woman walked in after us, it was very obvious it was her first time too... she couldn't stop saying how cute the whole place was. We were greeted by a sweet young woman who was very helpful and knowledgeable. I ordered a decaf iced vanilla latte (I'm pregnant) and my husband ordered a hot caramel vanilla latte. We added two potato, egg, and cheese tacos with green salsa. The coffee was absolute perfection. The house vanilla flavor was delightful. We sat inside and enjoyed our food and drink. After, we went outside and enjoyed the very well shaded outdoor area. There's plenty of outdoor seating - picnic tables. They also had a yard Connect 4 game available - this was cute. What a great little coffee shop we have found!! One of my biggest angers about living in the country is not having a coffee shop with PASTRIES that's open late... And lo and behold, we have one now!! Thank you!!!! On to the coffee.... I ordered a cappuccino and caramel latte. My cappuccino was absolutely a close my eyes take me back to Venice.... Not beach... Waking up in Italy to a cappuccino and a cornetto is a great memory... This definitely took me there. The flavor was rich, frothy and bold... What's great is also being able to taste the notes of the bean.. specially in a cappuccino. My bride took on the Caramel Latte.. they did a superb job. She usually adds a ton of sugar to everything... Tonight she went extremely light because of how good it was as it was made. The cornetto (croissant) was very good... Warmed up just right... Buttery And the perfect crunch... Flakey love. I on the other hand had the coffee cake. Hmmm. Not the best... Not the worst either but, needs a little work. It was a little dry, it lacked a little sweetness and cinnamon. Just my palate probably... I like desserts.... I want to like this place but the staff isn't the most competent. How many times can a regular hear "Remind me your name again?" over and over? It's clearly laziness disguised as caring customer service. Other baristas look like a deer in headlights and don't really know much about what they are doing. It can be very loud. Working here is a hit and miss. No noise/crowd control whatsoever. read more

Morning coffee and a bagel with friends for the past two years has been a great experience. Excellent coffee brewed to perfection with lots of laughter, meeting new people from the area and enjoying each other's company. And, oh yes, the staff, we cannot forget the staff, as they make you feel right at home with their smiles, words of encouragement and your order prompt and perfect. I traveled from Round Rock to visit my son. But prior to that, I did some research and wanted to treat him to some coffee and breakfast. I saw the reviews and told him we should get a coffee and a breakfast taco. The coffee was good but we needed it to go because it was 9:15am and they were out of breakfast tacos and I wasn't in the mood for a pastry. My family and I visited this lovely coffee shop after church to grab some coffee and vanilla steamers/chocolate milk for the kids. We were thrilled to see that they were finally open! The service we received here was exceptional, with the staff being incredibly friendly and always ready to provide recommendations for trying new drinks (and everything I've tried so far has been fantastic!). Awesome little chic neighborhood coffee shop that popped up in downtown Liberty Hill. Definitely one of a kind in the area, and coffee bar is state of the art. Forrest Coffee House is exactly what Liberty Hill needs. A space to sit, relax and enjoy quality coffee. Breakfast tacos are delectable. Drip coffee is strong. Having a light roast option would be awesome. Ordering a latte with almond or oat milk is a little pricey ($7+) but they're delicious. $1 up charge for alternative milk is way too much but this is my only qualm. The baristas are friendly and know what they're doing. Can't wait to check out the beer selection. I'm excited for what the future holds for FCH. read more

What a great coffee/beer/wine bar. Coffees are far beyond your typical chain coffee houses. The breakfast tacos, pastries and cookies are delicious. The indoor ambiance is inviting, cozy and classy. The outdoors are great for large party get togethers and altogether just a fun venue. Wi-Fi is great for remote work or a video call. I spent half a day there working remote. First time walking into a coffee shop here in LH and feeling such a vibe! Ordered a delicious lavender latte. While there the coffee machine was being looked into. Owner made sure to let me know it would be a short delay. Even though there was quiet the turn out for the first day and maintenance on the machine it didn't compromise the taste of the beverage or the awesome service. This is by far my favorite coffee house in Texas! The atmosphere is absolutely wonderful! So welcoming and homey. Our whole family has tried various drinks here, and everything has been great! I especially love their teas. The quality of the teas they use is top-notch. Their London Fog is the best I've had anywhere. Their chamomile tea is made from fresh, loose chamomile and is fantastic! They also have yummy pastries, including delicious gluten-free chocolate chip cookies and breads. Great breakfast tacos as well. I bought two half gallons for family and we throughly enjoyed them. The young man and lady inside were nice and patient and let me try a few flavors before making a final decision. When I got two pizzas to-go on a Sunday, the wait did feel like it took a long time, longer than say at Blaze or Mod Pizza. The pizzas had a nice thin crust but I found them to be on the oily side, so that was a turn off. Not sure if that is part of the crust or if they slather it on for whatever reason. If I had dined in, I think it would have been an overall decent experience based on the decor and roomy seating. But when it comes to pizza, it is honestly best enjoyed at home in pjs and paired with a good TV show!

I randomly stopped by this cozy coffee shop and was pleasantly surprised! The coffee is delicious, and the banana loafs were a perfect pairing. A large coffee grinder sits at the front of the store (not sure if they use it, or it's just for show). There looked like enough seats to sit and work or study, and their seats were comfy, too. In the far corner, they had two local business' selling their wares, which I thought was great. One sold pots and plants, but I can't remember what the other one was selling. The shop also sells beers, hence the sub-name calling out coffee & tap. They had a small merch area (as most coffeeshops do now) and I really liked their growler bottles, but couldn't purchase one without filling it with beer (I don't drink beer, so that sucked). I asked for a Flat White (which wasn't on the menu) which the barista quickly replied that she hadn't had much experience with but would create one for me. I agreed and got the drink. I didn't try any of their pastries/food, so I have no opinion there (maybe next time). It wasn't as rich as I was expecting, but it was flavorful. I may try a cappuccino on my next visit. For this area of Florence, I don't think there's a coffeeshop as good as this one, and I will be sure to return next time I'm nearby.

Chai - my all time favorite, I started with Starbucks chais and thought they were decent but ever since they changed their concentrate I haven't been back. Gathering Grounds is PERFECT. It has the most amazing blend of spices and sweetness. I have this all year round but my favorite time of year to get it is fall - they have a pumpkin chai and it's to die for. My sandwich had a couple of different types of lettuce, along with cucumber, red onion, and dill pickles (I requested) on a jalapeño cream cheese base. I was given a stand with the picture on it, and was advised the sandwich would be brought to me . After ordering my sandwich, I stepped across to the bar where I chose to sit on the outside barstools. The bar seating was quite full, but it was a beautiful day with a healthy breeze, so I was quite comfortable. The young lady behind the bar was very prompt in coming by to ask me if I would like a beverage and so I ordered a strawberry margarita. (a note.: they do not have frozen drinks at this time). She advised me it was the first time she had made a strawberry Version Of a margarita-but she did a great job and it was on point!!! shortly I was served my sandwich. We had ordered one of the desserts, a "Gooball" which was similar to a rice crispy, treat with peanut butter, added and shaped into a ball.... how could that not be delicious???? We were more than satisfied with our sandwiches and divided up the Gooball so we all could have a taste. The perfect bite of sweetness at the end of a meal.!! We can't wait to experience their food again!!
