I was a little bit nervous about trying out a new tattoo shop, but within 5 minutes, Chris, the shop owner, and his artists made me feel like this was a safe space to be tattooed. His patience in perfecting the design how I imagined it, his honest input about placement and shading, I could truly tell he is a master of his craft. His other artists and apprentices were upbeat, friendly, and nonjudgmental. His shop was clean and proper covid procedures were followed so I felt safe. He even used my tattoo experience as a teaching tool with his apprentice, explaining what he was doing and sharing technique. I will definitely visit Sailor's Moon Tattoo again! My experience was phenomenal. This facility is veteran owned, the owner speaks Spanish and the staff was so patient! The establishment looks and smells so clean and follows COVID policies, staff wears masks and also provides customers with hand sanitizer and masks! Hours are convenient: 12-9 pm and closed on Mondays! My actual tattoo experience was great! I'm from North Carolina and was in Washington and had urge to get a tattoo! It was such a random thought that I didn't know what to get but still walked in and asked millions of questions but THE MAZ was able to answer all my questions and was patient! I started off with a small ocean wave on my side just to make sure I could handle getting a tattoo, and once I saw how clean his work was I got a sternum tattoo, that he designed for me on the spot! As I was getting tattooed, I was telling him about a nasty scar I have from when I pierced my own belly button when I was 15, and he said he could fix it for me! So he pierced me on the spot and it didn't get infected (I was so relieved ) I love it here so much! read more

I was tattooed by Eli, with the understanding that she had availability on Saturdays and Sundays Walk-Ins ONLY first come first serve. I came multiple Saturdays in a row, and she tattooed my hands. Fast forward 3 weeks and it would be my 3rd and 4th visit in a row, and both times I showed up, I was told she made appointments. The first weekend, I understood, but I was upset, because I took time off work, time out of my day, and waited outside for 20 mins before they opened before being told she made an "exception" appointment. Fine, I understood things happen, however, I was upset because I had called the day before, and the lady answered the phone and said, "Oh Eli is ALWAYS available on weekends", when I asked if she was available that Saturday, because I wanted to make sure. Now fast forward to yesterday. I waited an entire week to come the following Saturday, even went as far as showing up a hour early, only to find out, as she walked out, and laughed in my face. She had another appointment. SECOND WEEK IN A ROW. I think what also made me pretty upset is, she had my contact info, she could have contacted me. But she didn't, and I told her I would be there every Saturday, waiting before they opened. When we talked yesterday, yes, I was visibly upset, but I was not over bearing and rude, I just told her how I felt. She then told me she was only one person. I asked her if we could make an "exception" for me since that was what was happening for other people. She agreed for me to come back Sunday at 12pm. I messaged her almost immediately after I left, and told her I was sorry if she thought I was being rude, but I was upset for good reason! Customers time is valuable and I was going to spend $5-600 with her. My hand she tattooed has linework that doesn't connect and needs touched up as well, and now apparently she says she doesn't feel comfortable tattooing me after our interaction because her malfeasance and bad business. I'm honestly shocked by this horrible experience. She's an amazing person and artist, I'm not so sure why she has to have such horrible business ethic! read more

I would NOT recommend coming here for ANY type of piercing. I stopped by because my usual shop was closed. I had my piercer change the dot/placement on my lobes 5+ times (couldn't get it right- one of the simplest piercings you can get) and they still came out HORRIBLY UNEVEN. I had to go to another piercing shop the next day to have them BOTH re-pierced. WOULD NOT EVER COME HERE FOR A PIERCING!!! There are so many other piercers in the area that are so much more attentive and skilled. read more

The reason i am giving 1 star is simply because of my last experience here. I have gotten 3 piercings here before and my first two i actually had a really wonderful time. But the last one not so much, i came in with a group of friends to all get piercings and it seemed as if the guy who pierced us was just beginning his piercing career, i would be surprised if he wasnt just starting. Shaky hands and pushed the needly all the way through my friends belly button and then proceeded to shove the jewelry into the hole. It was extremely hard to watch, my other friend got a double eyebrow piercing and the next day she went to another shop and they had her take both of them out so they could heal. the piercings were extremely uneven and she bled so much that a drop almost went into her eye. I got an anti tragus piercing that I had a few years ago and had to get it taken out for a surgery so i was really excited to get it again, but my ear has been swollen and bleeding for 3 days straight now and i am likely going to get it taken out. and yes i am cleaning it daily/nightly and do a good job not sleeping on it. I have never had issues with piercings not healing well, so 2 out of the 3 of us have botched piercings and wasted money while our other friend said getting her belly button dug into like that said it was the some of the worst pain she had ever experienced. Moral of the story, just ask for the most experienced piercer they have there or dont get pierced here. read more
