They have salad everyday, grill bar including some of the best fries I've ever had anywhere, burgers, hot dog, soups, various entrees, pizza, cookies and many other snacks! I love the soup and the fries and the cookies. Those are usually my go to food when it comes to value. They have so many different types of soup and they all taste great. Chicken noodle soup, chicken gumbo, cream of mushroom etc... I've tried them all. Cookies are delicious and are only $1 each. They are to die for! Yummy. Always hot and always fresh. We stopped by recently to check out if they still had the Grand Ole Creamery Ice cream, & they did. I was thrilled! True, old fashioned ice cream within minutes of my house. The location is now under new ownership & they are the nicest people! They encouraged us to try samples of any flavors we were curious about, or never heard of before, as well as tried & true favorites. They also gave us a short education on Boba, since we had never tried it. It was great to hear there were non-caffeinated options. The shop is also immaculately clean! Their tables & counters are spotless; not even finger prints on any of the glass cases, no funky smells, & everything there just seems to have its perfect spot. We can't recommend this shop enough. We have been there multiple times now, & look forward to seeing the owners bright, happy faces even when it's 5 minutes to close! :)

Black-owned and run, drinks are named after prominent black figures, typically women, and I can't get enough. It's incredibly versatile too, many types of seating for big groups to study, small groups to talk, and individual spots to simply just be. I love everything about this place and I'm still dissecting the menu because it's all so good!! The food is also delicious, I would say their food selection is smaller and it's definitely geared towards drinks rather than eats. The last time I stopped there was with the family after a play at the Orpheum. Ordered some Stromboli, a calzone and a slice of the gyro pizza. The stromboli hit the spot, and the calzone was good too. The gyro pizza this time was a little disappointing and not as good as normal. Maybe because I didn't see the main guy who I have seen for years serving or if they were just having an off day. Again, my defacto for a late night greasy, fulfilling dinner and hopefully will continue to go there for years to come.
