Here you'll find the admissions and bursars office. Buildings on campus are all walking distance. The athletic building is about a block away. Parking on campus can be a hassle at times as it can get full quickly, especially during evening classes. I recommend parking down the street in their West Campus lots. Shuttles run from 7am to 11pm continuously so no worries on walking. Yet, the walk is only about two blocks. A great perk of this university is the online student access. On their GothicNet you will find your personal information such as class registration, billing etc. Here you'll also find a library, computer lab, cafeteria and book store. Definitely had a great experience with this university and am proud to say I will always be a Gothic Knight!!

The new buildings and facilities are nice. The theater was gorgeous and the professors really get to know you if you make an effort. The price is decent if you want the best arts program right outside of NYC and there are a lot more options for commuting with the addition of the light rail. If you're looking for a school you can afford, but are living near NYC and can't afford NYU prices, you can't go too wrong here.

The pool has to be heated, because the water was warm. they had about 4 life guards on duty who were very attentive. The locker rooms were clean enough. No nasty smells coming from it. I wish they had staff on top of keeping the floors drier... but when you're near a pool i'm guessing there really isn't that much that can be done about it.

The professor, caught between admiration and resentment, said: "She writes like a cultural critic." Yes -- because I refused to write like a student rehearsing slogans. To write like a critic means to let language think where the institution cannot. In the end, I withdrew not from the course, but from the scene of false enlightenment -- where the "open mind" is just a polite way to close the Real.

I had Professor Clark for two classes one semester. I took those two classes with a few internship colleagues. I called Professor Clark out to the dean for not answering any of my emails about the homework assignments that I needed more time on. He was answering my friends emails but mine. He ended up giving me two -C's while everyone else received +A's (we worked on our assignments together over discord and I still did not receive the same grade as everyone else). After I reached out to the dean, Professor Clark finally answered me back but very rudely, "There was no need to go to the dean about this issue." Clearly I had to because you're finally answering me now. One math class I took had a Professor who spoke Arabic, not full English yet. She was a very nice woman, but if she didn't know a word in English. She would say it in Arabic, expecting everyone to know wtf that means. She also wasn't able to understand what a student was asking her when they needed help with a problem. I ended up helping that student because I was able to understand what he/she was struggling with. I took a computerized accounting class. We utilized QuickBooks. Students get free access to quickbooks I was struggling with my account and I was not spending $300 just to do assignments when Ik I can do it for free. It took the school the whole semester to figure out why I didn't have access. Once I finally got access, there was a week left of the semester. My professor told me, "if you hand in all of the work, I will not mark it late". I finished a whole semester worth of work in one week just for him to grade them as late and for me to receive another -C. Like I mentioned before, I took an internship. It was called YearUp. It helped me grow a lot and I'll forever be grateful and proud that I put myself through a year of hard work. One thing that really got on my nerves was when we were going over racism this one day. One of the coaches who was presenting decided to call white people, pigs. As soon as I heard that, my stomach dropped. I wanted to say something and tell them how I felt about what they just said but I knew if I said anything, I would've gotten thrown out of the program. They just kept going with it too. Most of the professors don't teach here. If you're a student who needs your material broken down, this is not the school. All of this happened my first semester of college. It was ridiculous

It later became clear that the company was already in the final stages with other candidates. Transparent communication and respect for candidates' time would have been far more professional. However, the library in this campus is my go-to for studying, especially knowing that a lot of popular restaurants and festivities occur around the area. It is also very conveniently located, as if I'm ever nearby and do not wish to wait on line for the Starbucks bathroom, I can simply swipe my stormcard here and stop by the bathroom. Furthermore, I really am impressed with the layout, appearance and cleanliness of this building as a whole. Did I mention this is a great study area?... especially for SJU students who live in the borough who do not want to commute all the way to the Queens campus.
