I hadn't been to Saj in a year or so, seemed like it had lost its luster. I came back a couple of weeks ago as i heard the original owners had bought it back, and something was different something refreshing. It was a somewhat new menu, but with all the original fare and the original family feel. I went with my go to, falafel plate with baba ganoush, fattoush, rice, green beans. One bite into the falafel, my eyes swell up with tears, as if I was reunited with an old friend. Spectacular. read more

When Saj had more than one restaurant open I ate there more frequently (closer location), so I was looking forward to my food this time. It was awful! I ate in, the pita was wrapped, soggy that you could not even pick it up, cold, including the pita, the meat did not look good... It was obvious what a bad pita it was, and when I showed it to the girl behind the counter she seriously said nothing. I spent $10 for nothing, I am glad I did not get sick. read more

We paid at the counter before service, including a tip, assuming good service. After receiving the food, we were ROBBED of a cell phone, a credit card and a driver's license, in what was essentially a "purse snatching". The management knew about certain non-customers hanging out in the restaurant most of the day, but did nothing about it. After the robbery the management offered no compensation nor even an apology. This place has the BEST babaganousch (sp) I have ever had, including the stuff I made in culinary school! Perfectly balanced, absolutely no bitterness one usually gets. I was actually really disappointed after trying Saj for the first time. I was excited at the thought of having fresh, fast Greek food nearby, but the reality was totally underwhelming. I had a Greek salad and asked for it with no tomatoes (as I have an allergy). The no tomato request seemed simple enough but ended up requiring a lot of explanation on my part. The biggest letdown of my experience was that I added chicken, and instead of bringing out a new batch, I got the scraps that were left which were far less than an acceptable serving. Instead of having normal strips of chicken pictured on their menu, I received burnt little crumbs on top of my salad. Sad to say, I don't think I'll be back. read more

Delicious, fresh, healthy food! Try the lamb kabobs! Saj has a variety of combinations so you can customize your meal for pretty much any WOE. A little pricey for lunch but considering how much food you get and the fact that it was super fresh, made it worth every cent! Will definitely visit again when we are back in Denver. read more

As a frequent visitor to the other two locations, I'm always happy with the food and the atmosphere. That said, this location is by far the most impressive. You can immediately appreciate the new atmosphere the owners created. With a cleaner and more stylish look, the restaurant is immediately inviting. I got to try the Saj Mana-Keesh for the first time and it was delicious. With a little chicken and some spicy hummus on the side it was a perfectly light and tasty meal. If there's one thing you HAVE to try it would be their new desserts. They would have done just fine if they continued only with their standard baklava dessert, but they've created a whole new line up of desserts on top of it. You gotta try at least one, but to be safe I tried three ;). The standout for me was their cinnamon bundt cake. Super moist and just as sweet, I couldn't help but have two. Wanted to like this place as it is similar to a few other fast casual Mediterranean places nearby. Unfortunately, just not run very well. Guy at the register taking our order was clearly not happy to be at work that day. It took soooo long to get our food and they didn't ask if we needed anything else or if everything was good. The most annoying part was the loud alt rock radio station they were blasting and some machine in the kitchen that sounded like scraping metal the entire time. Food was fine, but like I said there are so many other similar spots nearby with better service and food, why bother. read more

I wanted all of it--rice pudding, creme brulee, cake, almond something-- but only got the baklava, which was not too sweet. I love the food and all that Saj has to offer. However I would like to send a special message to the restaurant owner. Every time I visit Saj at the corner of Arapahoe and Parker I notice that the servers uniforms are always dirty with splashes of flour and I don't know what else on them. I also notice that the servers are not well groomed and looking spotless. I highly recommend that this issue is corrected. It's unappetizing to see messy servers and leaves much to the imagination. Had a large to go order and was missing an order of falafel and a piece of bread. I called, no one answered, had to call repeatedly. Finally get someone and explained that items were missing. They tell me come back, I explain I am going to work and cannot and they tell me to come in again and tell them of the problem. I am clearly not going back after being shorted items so I request a refund. No refund issued yet and this was last week. I did not have lunch because of their carelessness. Very unhappy. We had been to the new Saj in centennial several times since the opening and since we are a large family usually spend over $50 each time. We will no longer be going there. Love the pitas from this place. A little small but they stuff them with as many toppings as you want. I highly recommend the baba ganoush, turnips, and spicy potatoes with the beef shwarma. They do charge $1.99 for feta which I think is too much but last time they were nice and gave me some for free. Possibly it helped to tip. The staff was very friendly and there was no line so I was happy about that. I question the value at this place because I ended up spending almost $10, and that's without the feta or any kind of drink. But the food is delicious and I love Mediterranean so I enjoy splurging here. read more

I love having an alternative to typical fast food. I would leave a higher rating for the food, but I am displeased with the service today. I used their app to order ahead of time (time crunch for lunch). I arrived 5 minutes past expected pick-up, anticipating the order to be waiting; unfortunately, they were just starting the order. I wait. I'm handed my order and then stopped as I reach the door, they forgot my pita. After driving back to work, I realized they also forgot my dessert. I love Mediterranean. I've had the falafel wrap a few times but probably won't get it again. I got the wheat wrap, and it was super dry and had a funny taste to it. The falafel was ok, but the rest was just ok. I got hummus, tomato & cucumbers, basmati rice and tasziki sauce. And for whatever reason, every time I open in, rice comes pouring out. They don't wrap the end right in the foil, so everything falls out. Time to go back to Garbanzo I guess. read more

Being a vegan, I called in to order and when I tell you it was as if Najwah welcomed me into her home, offered me a seat at her kitchen table, and catered to my every need; that's the experience she created. One of the purest spirits I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Customer service through the roof. I have now found my GO-TO Mediterranean spot! Short-staffed and super slow service. Waiting more than 10 minutes with 3 people in line is not good. I ordered a chicken shawarma pita, but I am waiting, and it doesn't appear either 1 of the 2 people working is working on my order or any order.
