Decent Japanese fare as well as sushi. Ordered the bento box but it didn't come in a bento, it was just put on a plate also with grilled vegetables. The teriyaki saba had a nice taste but you have to pick the meat off the bones, but the fried rice was good. The sushi - tamago and yellowtail - were also good. Service also prompt. Spacious interior as well. Recommended.

We went because we were told they cooked at your table, but they don't . Service was great. Quick and accommodating . The soup and salad was some of the best we've had at similar restaurants! The rest of the meal was just alright. I would come back for the soup and salad but would try different entree. I should also add that they do not honor the Yelp check in offer.

I stopped in with a friend to satisfy a sushi craving. I hadn't been to this restaurant before, but my normal haunt was temporarily closed. Thankfully, this place was doing to-go orders. My friend and I decided to do the lunch special of 2 rolls and a soup or salad for $10. I decided on a California roll and another roll with crab, shrimp, and spicy mayo (I can't remember the name). I asked if I could make the cali roll spicy, to which she replied it would be extra. Ok, not a problem, just put it on the side instead. Our food came rather quickly and we left. My friend commented that his miso soup was rather small and balancing precariously between the two boxes. No worries, we aren't going far. My salad was simple, just lettuce, but the dressing was very good. Unfortunately, the salad was wet, so the dressing just pooled around the bottom. I scraped it and was happy. Now for the rolls: I was extremely disappointed in both. Both rolls had literally no flavor. Even soaked in soy sauce and spicy (not spicy) mayo, the rolls were just bland. The shrimp had a very fishy under taste to it, but not enough to take away from the total blandness of the meal. I ate about half of each roll and was done. It didn't satisfy me at all. My friend didn't seem happy or disappointed, so I couldn't gauge his response. I can say he didn't rave about it like he normally would with sushi. Terribly disappointed. Perhaps if we dined in it would have been a different experience. Thankfully, I ordered a pizza a few hours later to curb my hunger.

Sakana has a good variety of sushi rolls - we tried three of them, and all were decent. We'd order the Rock Roll again. The Captain Crunch roll was primarily cucumber, and Lady Love was quite lemony - we'd probably try something else next time. The egg rolls (harumaki) were excellent (hot, fresh, crispy), as was the plum wine, which was just the right amount of sweet and a generous pour; we'll probably go big and get a bottle for the table next time.

The daily lunch special at Sakana's is very affordable and has a lot of menu options. If you choose the pick 2 it's only $10 and pick 3 is $15. These options allow you to pick multiple sushi rolls and menu items. My favorite roll is the Cajun Roll, which consist of a crab salad center and a spicy mixture on the top; this provides a light and spicy flavor in each bite. The customer service was outstanding, I highly recommend Sakana.

This little place was AWESOME! The server recommended my husbands whole meal, and he was thrilled with it! I am a vegetarian and they are happy to do substitutions. Can't wait to come back!

The food is good. Nothing to rave about, but good and worth a trip. They do offer a military discount. We were seated right away . The salad was good and the miso soup. Our kiddos had good kids meals. The portions were great. The bathrooms were clean. They have a wide selection of sushi and hot meals. We added this place to our places we would go to if we were looking for a place to eat out at.

Oh my, the miso soup was steaming HOT! I could see the heat rising. I actually added ice from my ice tea to cool it down. lol! The flavor was excellent though. They have a lunch special where you get 2 items for $10 or 3 for $15 plus miso soup or salad. As you can tell from my first comment, I chose the miso soup. It was thick (for miso soup) and hearty miso soup. It wasn't a watered down version and was chock full of flavor. I ordered the escolar nigiri and the shrimp tempura. The shrimp tempura come with three pieces of shrimp and some veggies and was hot. It was obviously freshly cooked and awesome. The sauce they had for it accented the taste and didn't overwhelming. I took a bite of the fried onion ring with the lovely sauce and I thought I was in heaven OVER AN ONION RING! That's right- an onion ring with the amazing sauce. One of the things that made it so awesome is that the onion was thickly cut and the sauce had just a hint of sweetness. So sweet and savory meet, with no one thing dominating. I started running out of stomach room and I had to choose between fried zucchini, my aforesaid onion ring and two more pieces of shrimp. Oh vey! Decisions, decisions! The escolar had a clean fresh taste and was yummy. It had the sweet taste of totally fresh escolar. The only negative is that I asked for no rice on my nigiri and I don't think she understood.

Hands down best kimchi soup I've ever had!…read more We drove up from Lawton for a grocery run and wanted a real meal before making the hour-long trek back home. So glad we skipped the fast-food regret and gave Jjan Pocha a chance instead! The vibe inside is great--K-Pop playing in the background, fun wall graphics and decor (complete with the giant soju frogs), and a super welcoming staff. We were seated immediately, and they brought out cold water right away. Here is the breakdown of what we tried: Kimchi Soup: The absolute star of the show. I haven't been to Korea, but I order kimchi jigae at almost every Korean restaurant I visit, and this is hands down the best I've ever had. Unlike many places that only serve massive family-style portions, this came as a perfect individual size in a piping-hot stone bowl. I was comfortably full halfway through, but I couldn't stop until the bowl was empty. Don Katsu: We've had pork katsu plenty of times, but never served like this with a blanket of super creamy, rich melted cheese on top. Highly recommend. Fried Dumplings: My two-year-old is in a strict "if it's not a lollipop, I hate it" phase, so even though we ordered them for her she refused to touch them, but my husband happily scarfed them down in minutes. I thought they were a solid, classic dumpling. Kimchi Pancake: This was good and had a nice crisp edge to it, though it probably wouldn't be a must-repeat order for me next time compared to the entrees. Overall, the service was fast and incredibly friendly. If you're looking for comforting, authentic flavors and a fun atmosphere in the Moore area, do not miss this spot. We will definitely be back!

Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to make some nice recommendations. The Japchae for 2 absolutely serves 2 and is an excellent appetizer. We ordered the Kimchi soup (which has pork IN it, not just on top), Udon Jjamppong, bulgolgi, and grilled spicy pork. The kimchi soup was amazing. I'd prefer a more sour kimchi flavor, but this was still an amazing dish! The soup stayed hot the entire time. It was also served with rice. The Udon was boiling when it came out (as it should be! We love a hot meal), the seafood was cooked perfectly, the broth had a delicious rich flavor, and we subbed udon or ramen noodles. The noodles didn't add much in my opinion, but I can see this being a popular choice! We also requested extra spicy and the chef surely delivered. I usually love bulgolgi. I don't entirely love the seasoning on this one OR the bed of glass noodles, but that's just my opinion. Also served with rice! The grilled spicy pork (served with rice lol) had good flavor and a nice crisp. We were honestly so blown away with how good the soups were that the meats fell to the background. The pork was still spicy and flavorful! Definitely recommend. My only note to make this a full 5 stars would be the addition of banchan. There is a little bit of a wait between ordering and getting your entrees, so some Korean side dishes would've been nice to snack on. They did serve pretzels, but I just thought it was out of place. We really enjoyed our experience and even ended the night with some Melona! We will be returning.

To share we got the crunchy rice tuna and the blossom roll with a mix of the fish options (like a rainbow roll). The crunchy rice tuna has such a nice combination of textures with a little crunch from the rice and creaminess from the avocado and fish. The roll was delicious. Fresh fish, the rice in the roll was just as it should be-not too mushy (a problem I find with a lot of sushi places I've tried in Oklahoma) or too firm. For myself I got the sashimi tasting which was an absolutely delicious assortment of seafood. All of the pieces were well seasoned and tasted fresh. My husband got the fried chicken and sukiyaki. He was very pleased with both. As a bonus I got a cheesecake because we were celebrating my birthday and they gave us each a shot. I appreciate that they gave me a non-alcoholic shot since I don't drink alcohol. Overall the food was fantastic and the service was great but it comes with a corresponding price tag. Was it worth it? In my opinion, yes, most definitely. I will say though that if you don't care for seafood there are options for you, but you likely won't appreciate this place nearly as much as someone who does.

One of our friends ordered the sushi set as his entree, which comes with 5 pieces of nigiri and a sushi roll. He only got the nigiri (salmon, regular tuna, mackerel, and 2 tamago nigiri). When we brought it to one of the servers attention, she told us it was an either/or option. After talking with other friends, they told us they received both, and the nigiri was higher quality, like toro. Three of our friends ordered the pork katsu. One of the katsus was brought out early and the other two took some time. After the other two katsus came out, it was noticeable that the first one was probably refried, which made us think it was old and they didn't want to waste it. We also learned that our other friends said that when they went, the server told them that if there was anything they liked, they could ask for more to be brought to the table. Our server did not tell us this. And the sad part is that they actually took some dishes away from the buffet and didn't refill it, which was the salmon sashimi. Overall, I feel like the experience was disappointing and the advertising was misleading. There wasn't much fresh fish available, as one might think. Sounds like service isn't equal and great across the board. Some friends enjoyed the weekend lunch buffet, some other friends had the same experience we did.
