This was my first time ordering from OK Ramen & Sushi Bar, and I was really disappointed with the lack of transparency. I ordered the Hawaii Roll, which is described on the menu as "spicy kani, mango, shrimp, avocado, in soy paper." The photos online and on Yelp also show the roll wrapped in pink soy paper. However, when I got home, my roll looked completely different and was wrapped in green lettuce instead. I honestly thought I received the wrong order. When I called the restaurant, the employee immediately knew who I was and apologized, saying they ran out of soy paper and substituted lettuce without informing me beforehand. She also claimed it was "the exact same thing," but soy paper and lettuce are clearly not the same ingredient. They have completely different texture, taste, and presentation. I understand restaurants can run out of ingredients, but customers should absolutely be told before substitutions are made -- especially when the menu specifically advertises soy paper and the dish ends up looking completely different from the photos online. Stopped in while visiting Moore - the place was pretty busy but there was no wait and it wasn't loud. The staff was super friendly but a tad overwhelmed (no biggie). We ordered: miso soup, a Hawaii roll, beef bulgogi ramen, and Japanese veg fried rice. We loved our sushi roll, it was fresh and the flavors were great. Very disappointing! I ordered the seafood udon. Sadly, it had 1 scallop, 2 shrimp & some overcooked squid. I feel ripped off.

Came in for happy hour on Mondays bogo sushi rolls. Fireman roll was my favorite out of all the food I got. Shumai was a little bit overcooked.. mushy but still good with the sauce. My seafood ramen was okay but good to eat on a rainy cold day! Will def come back to try more rolls read more

We met our friends for dinner and came because this place had high reviews. First I'll saw the food was very good from what we ordered. However, the waiter was very slow getting to us, and they completely left off a side meal that was ordered. It was over brought to our table. We didn't see our waiter for the duration we ate. This was my first time to OK Ramen and Sushi and I tried the spicy pork ramen, bbq squid, and the Kawa sushi roll. My wife and I love ramen and usually prefer either Tamashi or Goro, but this is close to the south side of OKC and we have always wanted to try it out. I think the restaurants name is perfect for this ramen because it was just OK ramen, the presentation was beautiful, but the actual noodles, broth, and pork were average at best. If you enjoy a deep broth that feels thick and hearty then this won't be it. It was more like fancy instant noodles. The squid tasted good, but was a little over cooked and tough. However, despite these somewhat let downs the Kawa sushi roll is probably the best sushi I have had in years. I am super excited to return and try other freshly made rolls. This had the perfect compression of sticky rice around tuna, with crab and unique smoked eel sauce that was to die for. I will be returning for the sushi and highly recommend it. The service and staff here were kind, quick, and efficient and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. I would recommend calling this place OK Ramen and perfect sushi! I was skeptical of this place because breakfast and sushi in one sentence doesn't sound appetizing! But they're open for breakfast and serve different food and then serve sushi for dinner. We came on a Monday because they have bogo half off rolls! And we always love a good deal. It was just us and 1 other table so we got seated right away. The waitress was super nice. We ordered the salmon tower, sunset roll, ichiban roll, hot chick roll, salmon and yellowtail nigiris. She brought out complimentary wonton chips with sweet and sour sauce which we both thought was really weird! But it tasted good, so we ate it all haha. The food came out pretty slow considering we were the only other table. I think it took 30 minutes or more. 2 other parties did come within those times. It looked like there was only 1 sushi chef. Our rolls came out first and then the sushi tower. Everything looked really good! And tasted really good too. We pleasantly enjoyed everything. Our favorite roll, surprisingly, was the ichiban roll. We were skeptical because it has coconut flakes on it but it turned out so yummy! I'm really big on the rice to sushi ratio. Some places put way too much rice. But this place, was perfect! Not much rice which I appreciate. We also really loved the sushi tower and would get both again. This place definitely satisfied my sushi cravings. We will definitely be back! The sushi was excellent. I really enjoyed the Cali rolls. My son's udon noodles were tasty and my husband's fried rice was decent although I HATE peas in fried rice. My ramen wasn't any good. The broth had decent flavor but it was one note, GARLIC. All I could taste the rest of the night was garlic. The noodles were over cooked and flavorless. The pork belly was tough and hard to eat. I would come back for sushi but I will never order the ramen again. We ordered carry out so I can't say much about the restaurant but the order did take longer than we were told and we had to wait a while for it to be ready. First and foremost the food was very good I had the gyoza which was perfectly crisp and flavorful and the spicy pork belly ramen (it wasn't too spicy, I'm a spicy wuss), I even added a little of the chili to my ramen and it was just enough spice. The food came out quickly, the restaurant was clean and the service was very inviting and pleasant which is hard to come by these days. The people here are so nice and service is top notch. My husband always gets the ramen (yes, it's delicious because I steal a bite) and I always get the lunch roll combo. The miso soup has perfect bigger pieces of tofu and plenty of greens in a delicious broth. The wish the lettuce was chopped more for the salad but the dressing is quite tasty and the lettuce is always crisp and fresh. I can only eat half of my lunch combo and it's only $8.95! read more

The restaurant has transitioned from breakfast to ramen, but still does sushi, and we are so glad they did. Our kids love the ramen AND the sushi! My wife and I both loved all the rolls we got. This restaurant has become my go-to for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. First off, whoever makes their sushi, that person is heaven sent. The rice-to-fish ratio is excellent, especially for the price. The surrounding sushi places have so much rice in their roles, you can barely taste what's inside. I disliked the sushi restaurants around SW OKC so much, that my go-to sushi place was Sprouts on Wednesday (half-off). Now it's OK Breakfast & Sushi. Speaking of breakfast, their breakfast beats out a lot of places, which is saying a lot. You have places like Sunnyside Up, Black Bear Diner, OK Country, Perry's, Jimmy's Round Up, and many more places to compete against. This place keeps up and surpasses most of those places I've mentioned. The taste is much more unique, and very similar to how my family made scrambles and omelets. So much of my fondness for their breakfast might just be nostalgia lol. You know what I just thought of? Next time I go, I should as for rice instead of taters, then I'd really be on a nostalgia trip. My wife and I also went there for dinner just to try the ramen, and we were pleasantly surprised. We're not ramen connoisseurs or anything, but we found their ramen very good. It's quality and taste lies somewhere between Tamashi and Goro's ramen. To top off the delectable food, the people who work there are so nice. And it never gets too loud in there, which is great for our deaf grandma; we don't have to yell as much. Great food, great service, and super clean!! Our first time coming in did not disappoint. The restaurant is super clean and quiet. We were seated quickly and brought drinks. The peach Sake did not disappoint. We also had the crab wontons which were so good, the perfect balance of cream cheese and crab. My mom and I split the chicken and shrimp hibachi, it was so much food and all really good. The hibachi came with soup and salad which were so much better then what I've had anywhere else. Then we also had the Super Volcano roll and Hawaii roll both were GREAT! The best sushi we've had so far in Oklahoma. We will definitely be back. The food all came out fast and HOT. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the ramen description says the soft boiled egg in it is marinated, but it was not marinated. One was preparing sushi, and the other one was standing in the middle of the restaurant on the phone. I just stood there for a few moments and the man on the phone noticed me and waved me to go away.
