They have a terrific selection of bourbons, scotches, and other types of whiskey, in addition to a wide range of spirits and a diverse selection of wine varietals from around the world. My friends who joined us at the Epicurean to stay for a few nights to celebrate my wife's birthday. We had enjoyed breakfast and coffee down the street on South Howard when we decided to stroll on in to take a look at what they offered. I picked up some lovely treasures including a Double Oak Peerless bourbon, a Twelve Years Old 1792 bourbon, The Keepers Release by Maker's Mark, a wheat whiskey by WhistlePig, and a single-barrel pick by Clonakilty Irish Whiskey. I stopped myself from buying more as there were at least five more bottles I was eyeing. They have a tremendous selection with a very knowledgeable staff that allows you to try certain picks if they are open and available for tasting. And the ambiance is very clean, modern, and easy to navigate.

Stopped in on Christmas Eve for a last minute bottle of rum for my rum cake. Quickly found the…read morebottle I was looking for and price clearly showed $21.99 and there was multiple bottles in the row not just one. Upon checking out the bottle rang up $26.99 so I advised the cashier the bottle should be 21.99 and I explained where I found the bottle so that they can go do a price check. The cashier then sent me over to another register and the gentleman that went to do the price check started to ring me out and although it was an error In their pricing he advised "the bottle was in the wrong spot" even though it was an entire row and said he can offer me the bottle at 23.99 instead of the $26 that it had originally rang up. I get that mistakes happen but the bottle should have been honored at the price that was shown on the shelf not a made up price in between just because. I know it's just a couple dollars but its the principle for me and the fact that the man that did the price check tried to say that someone placed that bottle in the wrong spot when it was clearly an error on the store being that the entire row was the same bottle. This is why I normally stick to ABC liquor.

The store already has a good stock selection, but they are also prominent enough to regularly have good store picks of some quality stuff. They are relatively fair in their allocation distribution, often coinciding with those store pick bottle drops. Michael and the staff are knowledgeable, accommodating, and are passionate about their craft. I've been in line for a few of their bottle drops and appreciate when they come out to provide samples of their offerings. Their prices are a little higher than MSRP for those allocation bottles, but still mostly within reason.

There were approximately 16 people in the 2 hour class. We made 12 dumplings each using three folding techniques. The demonstration was good and the dumplings were even better. The chef who taught the class is a full time Mazzaro's chef. We were able to grab drinks from the bar before the class.
