The lunch specials are really worthy of the price. I loved the sashimi special, it came with large pieces as well. The chicken Kau's was thin, crispy, and paired well with lots of veggies. The sweet potato roll and asparagus roll were mediocre. The sweet potato roll came with a fried interior - tempura style, which I wish I had known because the fried covering is not gluten free. The service was really awesome and we were brought our food and seated quickly.

A solid choice for sushi if you're in Five Points. Nice decor inside for date night. I had the Dragon roll which is fried tempura with avocado and Memorial Park roll which is spicy salmon with seaweed on top. Although there is not a lot of people dining inside, I noticed a lot of pick ups for food delivery. Will be back!

Was in mood for hibachi so found this place close to home so we walked down. It's small inside and typical decorations. They have a pretty decent menu with it's of options or sushi, specialty rolls, vegetarian, hibachi, etc. Food came out pretty quick but we were 1 of only 2 tables in restaurant. They appeared to have a hefty take out business. Food was good, exactly what would expect I guess. Overall was a positive experience but won't rush to go back.

I went to Sake House awhile ago and it's just like I remembered--the sushi is consistently delicious. They have a variety of different rolls, several combinations I haven't seen on other menus. We tried three and they were all fresh and full of flavor. The prices were equally as good. They also serve hibachi and had a long list of appetizers on the menu. We will definitely be back.

My friends and I wanted some sushi after work today so we went for Sake House. When we first walked in, there was no one to greet us, until one of my friend yelled out hello. After the hello a woman came out and we were seated. We didn't even get to look at the menu yet, and she asked us if we were ready to order. We kindly said no and to give us a minute to look ag the menu. So therefore, one star off for the service. As for the food, everything we ordered was delicious. I got the tuna tataki and riverside sushi roll. One of my friend ordered crab rangoon and this fried sushi roll (I don't remember what it was called), while the other ordered the Jimmy Smith sushi roll and the jalapeno crab appetizer. It came all came with some clear soup, which we didn't know about. The tuna tataki and the crab rangoon was good, but man the jalapeno crab was amazing! I highly reccomend this appetizer if you like a little bit of spicy and cream cheese with crab. I loved the riverside roll with the shrimp sauce and ginger. Everything blended in so well. Perfect harmony I would say. But don't get me wrong, the jimmy smith and fried sushi roll was good too. It was deliciously yummy rolls! Overall, I would recommend this place for sushi if you are ever in the riverside area.

I've tried a lot of sushi places in Jax, and this one hands down is my favorite. It's fresh, it's cooked perfect, the staff is amazing. I love it. I've never had a problem getting food here, typically take out but occasionally sitting on the patio. Staff is very attentive, and kind. Best sushi place in town!

Black Dragon Roll!! IMHO best roll in Jax!

I've been wanting to write a review for Sake House for sometime now. It's definitely one of my favorites in town! The Dragon roll is by far the best in the city IMHO. Also their Sashimi Deluxe boat is just absolutely amazing. All of the fish is so fresh (freshest in town) and perfectly plated. I always sub out Escolar because I'm not a fan but you do you. The Tuna Tataki is another favorite of mine, highly recommended as is the Maki roll. Salad, miso or clear soup are a great accompaniment and come with every box/boat. Sake House is located right on the corner of 5 points and has outdoor seating for those that have a pup like me. Check them out if you haven't been, the lunch specials are very affordable and the restaurant is nice & atmospheric inside. Service is always perfect and the owners & servers are very friendly!

Been coming to this place for years. I love sushi and this place and sushiko are def my favorite places I've tried by far. I'm pretty sure sushiko is owned by the same people as the quality and menu are very similar. Don't quote me on that tho, it's just something I have heard. The sushi is always good and their sashimi is awesome. Love the ambiance too it's very chill and the servers are always very nice. For sure recommended!

I have been to sake house quite a few times. Mostly for lunch and have also ordered delivery through a third party multiple times. Either way the food is always consistent. When you dine in, you can enter from park or from Margaret. The restaurant is actually much larger than it appears from the street. I have always been able to be sat right away. The service is always very good and the service is efficient. I have had both the hibachi and the sushi. I personally enjoy the sushi lunch special the most and they are great about substituting rolls though there may be an additional charge. The lunches in the restaurant come with soup and salad. When you get it to go, you do not get the soup or salad which is kind of a bummer. The prices are very fair and the food has always been fresh. I highly recommend, especially for a quick lunch or a working lunch as it isn't usually very loud inside.

Picked this place for dinner. It's in five points in Riverside. There's street parking out front. It looks small but there's actually a whole other area in the back. I ordered clear soup with Salmon and yellowtail sashimi with water. My two rolls were the shrimp tempura roll and the Blue Monster roll. Both were really good. The Blue Monster had eel in it which I also enjoy. My partner got clear soup, ginger salad, and the steak and shrimp hibachi with noodles and egg fried rice with coke. My daughter had the chicken nuggets kids meal with apple juice. And one of the sushi chefs gave her a white bunny candy. Unfortunately it was tough for chewing so we weren't able to give it to her since it posted a choking hazard. But we appreciate his kindness anyway. Arigatou gozaimasu!

This place absolutely blew me away.

I made a reservation and we arrived on time. We stood in the front awkwardly for about 10 minutes while the host and the host that she was training bickered about where they were going to seat us. The manager caught onto what was happening and did offer us a starter to compensate for that, which was nice. Unfortunately the service still felt lacking throughout. I saw my drink sit at the bar for quite a while while my husband sipped his beer. The server was super sweet, but not as attentive as I'd expect especially since it wasn't busy. The fish tasted fresh and mostly everything was really good. My favorites were the drama queen roll, the blood orange akami, and the truffle unagi roll. I wouldn't get the truffle enoki mushrooms again- the texture was off (chewy/stringy). The cocktail I got was the nori margarita and didn't feel it was anything special. The glass and straw it was served in was kind of throwing it off for me. I'd go a different drink route next time. I liked the vibe of the restaurant and felt like the ambience was great for date night. It had a sexy feel. I wish there was music or if there was I didn't notice it, because I could hear everything the table next to me was saying. They also brought a refreshing treat for my husband's birthday. We'd be open to coming back.

We love dining from Sake House 2 because the staff is genuine and attentive to you. Excellent meals, superior quality and large portion sizes! We eat-in or go through Door Dash. They always cook the steak the way you want. If the door dash doesn't allow you to customize the order, you can call the restaurant and they will update and make it the way you want, such as without vegetables or without sesame seeds. Prices are exceptional. Dine-in lunch for Teriyaki ranges from $12-$14, (with chicken teriyaki is $12). Hibachi ranges from $12-$15. Dinner for Teriyaki ranges from $16-$24 (including 2x meat, like chicken and steak $24 and chicken teriyaki being $18. They're generous with the tuna, there's just not much going on besides that. So I would definitely recommend getting a specialty roll! Can't wait to try more in the future :)

We started with the edamame, with the sea salt and truffle oil, which is always delicious. The service over the evening was very slow, and we spent a lot of time waiting on food. We sat in our favorite spot at the bar window so our server also appeared the be working behind the bar and was busy making drinks. We love sake and usually get a bottle of the Noble Arrow. We asked for a recommendation and the server recommended the Soul of the Sensei, which is $107 for the bottle. We were celebrating our 24th anniversary so we went for it. He said it was on the dry side, but we found it very unexpectedly sweet, almost like a moskato wine. It wasn't surprising when we read the back of the label and saw the flavor profile was all the way on the fruity side, with notes of Muscat grape. We definitely made a mistake by not tasting it first, so we ended up asking for a bag to take it home and ordered 2 glasses of the Noble Arrow. It was a disappointing start. Next we ordered the yellowtail carpaccio, which was very good, although the size of the fish pieces overall seemed smaller than usual. Everything we ordered over the evening was undeniably tasty, but small. We got the Usuzukuri salmon and when they brought it, they had the tuna carpaccio as well. The person who brought it said it was a gift. Later, we were charged $2 on the bill for the "gift." It's not much, but it's just that giving us a gift and then putting a charge on the bill for it was very strange. Overall, I still love the food at O-Ku, but this was not the best experience. We had gone there previously for our anniversary and they made it feel special. This time there wasn't any kind of recognition besides possibly the "gift" we had to pay extra for. And the service was so slow that we ended up drinking the bottle of sake we didn't like rather than waiting for another drink order. Every place will have its off nights, and this unfortunately seemed to be one of them. I would still recommend going there, because even though the portions are tiny and expensive, the taste is delicious.

When I first came in after the remodel I was skeptical, but day after day (hit after hit) Wasabi delivers. The food is AYCE and is made fresh to order. I'm a huge fan of nigiri so this is such a dea. This is a great place to take people new to sushi who are discovering their preferences ( please consider the sweet potato sushi, it will be better than you anticipate). Please be warned, there is a price per sushi piece left behind. While I never seen the staff bring down the hammer, it is a clearly written rule. Also, if one person at the table orders AYCE then shares their food you will be charged for two AYCE (which makes sense). The interior is simple but the vibes are immaculate, super laid back and they often give small gifts during certain holidays. The AYCE is approx 16 dollars until 3, their dinner prices increase.
