One of my favorite places to eat! Close by & convenient They are always friendly when i go inside. Can get a little pricey though depending on what you order.. fresh and tasty, haven't had a problem... yet.

Looks like a lot in the pic right? Nope !

This place in which I spend lots of via direct delivery which requires me spending over $30 for delivery or via Uber which is alway over $24. Tonight I order $36.00 plus $4.00 tip. I ordered 3 roll dinner for $16.00 and $14.00 of sushi 4 pieces is raw sushi. One piece of sushi usually consists of one of three cut up. Why did I pay $14 for this? I will not take this post down till they make good. They are so stupid. They give free food to people to give great reviews to balance out or bury the bad ones. Not cost effective. Just give better service and give people what they pay for! So it's like this if you order too much salmon or tuna you'll get skimmed because they believe people should only receive a certain amount no matter how much you pay.

Had a few rolls with brown rice and they were rushed and had no flavor. I was really disappointed and so was my cousin with her tempura chicken and shrimp. It was tasteless and the price point was a big high for the quality of the food. I had eel and avocado brown rice roll and a sweet potato roll in brown rice as well and they were falling apart and had no real flavor at all. I don't think I would eat here again because I had better in another location in the Bronx.

Their service is amazing always, they are very attentive and make sure to make their customers feel welcome and appreciated. Food here is always delicious and made to perfection!! Definitely a must to try different appetizers, their soup dumplings are to die for!!! Definitely recommend, whether you're craving some noodles or simply a rice bowl, they are equally exquisite in their own way!!!

I wish there were more locations of this in Manhattan. We made an order at the desk before we seated ourselves and for a Saturday evening, there was quite a bit of open tables which was great. I ordered the Szechuan Braised Beef Noodles and they were absolutely delicious. The noodles tasted a bit like ramen noodles but they were able to grab all the delicious and garlic flavored soup. I really appreciated the soft-boiled egg with its marinated egg whites. I also loved the big tender beef chunks as well. Overall, I really cannot wait to go back to Zhongzhong noodles and I hope that they open up more locations. I will say though that since I last went to the Roosevelt Island location, they have raised their prices quite a bit - maybe $2 or $3 per dish.

I also enjoy the kitchen apps and entrées- the miso eggplant and agedashi tofu are great appetizers. The salmon teriyaki is always perfectly cooked and accompanied by fresh vegetables. As other reviewers have mentioned- the construction of the rolls can suffer at times- for me this usually looks like 1 at most 2 pieces losing their integrity when I pick them up. My friends and I agree that this is Riverdale, not A sushi hotspot desitation and we would rather sacrifice a point on the physical construction /proper sushi technique than go somewhere else that has beautiful perfectly rolled sushi- with less fresh fish or rolls that are more rice than filling. Also- the sushi IS good! I usually go for salmon, tuna and a sweet potato tempura roll The lunch specials (monday-saturday until 3:15 pm) are a really good deal and come with pretty good miso soup and a fresh side salad. I am appreciative that they run a little later in the day as well. Aoyu has always been very reasonable abt modifications- there is no upcharge for brown rice for lunch bento- easy to request veggie instead of pork gyoza, and I really don't like crab- imitation or otherwise- so they always let me sub a cucumber avocado roll instead. Thanks for being such a great restaurant in riverdale Aoyu!

Everything from sushi sets to omakase, ramen, rolls, soup dumplings and other well-known Japanese dishes. Generous portions at a decent price. It is sushi after all. The staff is attentive and the service is excellent. Good for lunch, dinner or take out. The intimate atmosphere makes it a nice place to take a date as well...

For only $9, you can get chicken teriyaki meal which comes with tons of chicken and veggies and rice(white or fried). I ordered the chicken and shrimp teriyaki for $12 and wow, it tasted fabulous, kind of like the chicken teriyaki I used to eat as a child at the mall food court. Great portion size. Food came out quick and efficiently. Workers very nice. This is not a fancy restaurant, but a perfect place if you want high protein food that will keep you full for hours at a low price. This was similar in style but this place was honestly a bit cooler and fresher. You pick your meats or veggies and sides. We opted for 2 teriyaki platters, 1 with rice, 1 with noodles and a Chicken bento box. Everything made as you wait and was fairly quick and most definitely fresh. I ordered and the lady was pleasant and fast talked me into signing up for their rewards program that saves me money. Honestly, she could have said anything and the words "saves you money" and I pretty much would've done it. I personally loved my beef and shrimp teriyaki with noodles. My son liked his bentonite box except for the spring rolls. My brother loved his chicken teriyaki with rice. The prices were very decent for the amount we received. The place was huge with a lot of sit down area and very clean. Y'all know I love clean now! When I'm around and in the mood, I'd stop back in and use my little rewards thingy again.
