Shopping for that find... Nothing like finding that luxurious item at a great price and Saks Off 5th has it and so much more. Located in Waikele Premium Outlets all the way in the back as this shop I usually go immediately to the bags and totes section as it's my accessories obsession which then make rounds to the clothing, shoes and sunglasses they have so much here there's lots to see. It is the luck of the moment to find that specific item which I've found on occasion and though we don't have Saks 5th Avenue I'm grateful for the price friendly version of it right here in Hawaii as things can get costly and weather it's for work or play we all do like a bit of bling in our style and Saks Offf 5th can certainly provide that for you in style. Ever since I scored Hunter boots here for around $45, I've made it a point to always stop in whenever I'm in Waikele. I never really knew what this store had to offer and wouldn't ever step foot inside to see until one day. But since that visit, I've had no such luck. I'll skim the luxury purses, float around the clothes, hit the shoe aisles, then the kids section and back out I go. If nothing catches my eyes, I'm out of there in a jiffy. I love a good bargain and the men's clothing section has lots of great pieces. Hubbs has way, I mean wayyy more clothes/shoes than I do so one more piece is not needed Lol! Check it out if you're in need of a gift for men. Kids section? What kids section? It's mostly girl clothes and absolutely no boy shoes. The only thing I scored was a matching high end Camo jacket for my 2 boys to match. Unfortunately none in dads size. Throughout each visit I haven't been greeted nor offered assistance... It's not that you would need help looking for a particular item since there are huge signs above stating what is in each section of the store, but at least a welcome would be nice.. Suits are puts on clearance sales often so you can get 200 dollar suits for 40 - 60 dollars Service: Not the greatest. Not many workers for such a large store. Most of the workers tend to be close to the jewelry, suits, and cash register. Parking: Ample Parking provided for shoppers of Waikele Premium Outlet. On weekends and during annual sales, the parking lot does fill up quickly. You can drive a bit down to the other parking lot provided for shoppers trying to eat. Suggestions: Go at the end/ beginning of every season. Last seasons items are put on clearance or set at the highest sales. Clearance doesn't mean it is at its highest sale, they often mark down clearance prices with lower clearance prices weeks later. Suits are cheap. So, if you see something that you liked there, but nearly fainted when you saw the pricetag, then wait a few months and it'll eventually end up here at a much more affordable price point that won't leave you feeling regretful for buying it. As an added bonus, they also accept coupon codes from the Retail Me Not app. Not only do I like the deals and steals here, but I also like that there's not just the typical MK or Coach, but a balance of different higher end brand names and designs that the average person could only dream of owning, such as Kendall + Kylie, Stuart Weitzman, Prada, Gucci, etc. Oh, and I'm diggin' the new store layout too! Shiny, sparkly jewelry hypnotizing you into a trance as you walk in, then accessories to the right, handbags, clutches and purses to the left, clothing straight ahead, and shoes and sandals in the back. Saks is among the department stores which recently made it to the islands yet. Thankfully, there's an Off Fifth Avenue to make high end designs available at discounted prices. The selection differs from competitors such as Nordstrom Rack. Looking for high end options for a lower price point? Try checking at Off Fifth Avenue. You might find a rack full of new merchandise which isn't even displayed as in stock on their website. I've noticed this to be the case for Marc Jacobs collared shirts and Carrera sunglasses. The shoe selection brings in high end brands such as Versace and Ferragamo. You might have better luck here than Nordstrom Rack if you're willing to spend $100-$200 for a pair of shoes you'll be excited to wear. The store is accessible and friendly for a place which carrier high end merchandise. I've always considered Off Saks Fifth to be a viable option for clothes shopping for budget and trend conscious friends. read more

I needed a suit and a pair of dress shoes for an interview that I had scheduled the next day. Immediately after I walked in I was approached by Azlinn and Ruena and they were extremely professional and helpful! I let them know that I had an interview and that I wanted to buy a suit for it but I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. They both showed me around and helped me find my size as well as an undershirt to go with a suit. Zero stars if I could. And it's a shame, I did like the selection at this store, however, I did not appreciate the customer service I received today. I was looking at the watch selection with my boyfriend, when he mentioned that one of the associates gave him a dirty look. Mind you, he was the one who looked up and said, "hey, how're you doing?" to her first. She didn't reply to him, and I just looked back at her for a few seconds. She then asked me, "did you want to see anything?" My boyfriend answered and said, "no, we're fine." End of interaction. As we're exiting the store, I overhear her speaking to another CUSTOMER in Filipino. Stating that, "we're the ones trying to help and you're giving me attitude." I stopped, turned around, and just stared at her. She would not look up at me and if it wasn't for my boyfriend tugging for me to leave, I would have asked for a manager. I found a really cute Free People dress at Nordstrom Rack Ward, assumed it would fit and thus, passed on a trip to the fitting room. Turns out it was a bit larger than I expected. I pack it away and tell myself to return it during my next trip to town. In the mean time, I visit Saks Off 5th Waikele and guess what I spot? The same dress in my size! Score?! I think so! Oh! But wait - this dress is WAY more than what I paid for at Nordstrom Rack. I take a chance and head towards the registers, remembering that they do price matching. I get to the register and is helped by employee "A" (I've chosen not to say her name as it's printed on my receipt). I inquire about price matching and no joke, she takes a big deep irritated sigh and says, "Yeah we price match. IF you can prove it". I explain that I have an electronic receipt from one of their competitors and show it to her. Her response? "What am I looking at?" Seriously! Is this how you speak to your customers, in a sassy condescending tone, much less interact with them? I was about to just walk out. She finally looks at me and says, "Yeah. Okay. Fine" and starts the transaction. I was so irritated that I just wanted to say no thanks, screw getting the dress. I looked behind me and saw a line forming so I pay for it and leave. It bothered me so much that I returned the dress, but this time at their Ala Moana location. I received much better customer service there thanks to Dawn. Guess I'll be visiting the Ala Moana location more often. Waikele customer service: 2 stars - Due to the cashier, but I did get assistance in the fitting room and that lady was nice; but this review is based on employee "A" and her behavior. I got a Michael Kors coat for my trip to Vegas next month for under a $100. True Religion jeans and and a cute Ed Hardy skirt also for my daughter. This aint Ross dress for less cheap. So I typically browse this store after hitting up Banana Republic. I make occasional purchases and have been a card holder since 2000. The last several times I've visited the store is very warm. I'm not sure if it's to save on the cost of utilities, but I cannot stay in there very long. Today's visit was very disappointing. I walked up to pay for my items, and there was a cashier talking to a stock person. I was going to walk up to her, but she continued her conversation so I stepped back. She glanced at me, I stepped forward but she was still talking so I stepped back again. Finally, she said, "I can help you here." She rang me up and the entire time was talking to other people behind the register area. I told her I don't have my card on me and if she could search my account and a slight attitude emerged. The entire time she continued to "talk story" with the other employees. I learned one of them is named Lauren. They were talking about the stock boy who drives his grandmother's Lexus. However the Lexus is nice because another colleague drives the same type of Lexus. Ummm...Do I REALLY need to know all of this? This was so unprofessional. Prior to this visit, I have never had an exceptional experience here. It was just "OK"...but after today... I'm lowering my rating to 2 stars. read more

Discount shopping has it's pluses and minuses. I usually prefer to haunt Macy's One Day Sales for my cheap clothes, but when it comes to menswear, I would recommend Off 5th. We (my hubby and I) came to Waikele in search of a tan suit for our reception. The suit selection at Off 5th was better than at the other Waikele shops and we ended up picking up a Saks branded suit for around $300. There was another tan suit there that we liked better, but it had a huge ink stain on it. Wondering where the ink stain came from? We did until we took the non stained suit up to the register. A cashier came forward to help and set the suit down on the counter--wait for it--right on top of an uncapped pen. I freaked a little but the pen didn't mark this suit. The cashier bagged the suit (it's actually pretty cool how they have the clothes bagging procedure down) and we were on our way. Unfortunately Off 5th does not have alterations services. But at these prices you can always take it to your favorite dry cleaner or tailor before you "suit up." For menswear this place is the bomb, much more selection than the other Waikele stores (this is the only place we were able to locate a tan suit), but I wouldn't shop for myself here. The ladies selection is a little too rich and leans a little towards Gabby on Desperate Housewives for my tastes. Therefore, three stars. And don't forget there's more parking in back of the stores. So often I see people circling the front lot while I just pull in a tree shaded stall in the back lot. read more

Holy crap. Hit this place up during their sales. Veteran's day weekend sales were HEAVENLY. The clearance shoes were an additional 50% off, and they weren't the usual triple digits, they were in the double digits PLUS the half off. Um, YES PLEASE! So, if you're willing to brave the crowds and keep mental notes of major sales seasons, this is the absolute winner. Betsey Johnson shoes for $35 and Beverly Feldman shoes for $30. I don't visit this store often but when I do, I find a few cute things. Right before Christmas they had an additional 40% off of many items in the store and some of their clearance was buy one and get 2 free. They carry designer clothing, jewelry, handbags, accessories, shoes, and a small area of home accessories. It's not always easy to find an associate to help you find something unless you're in the jewelry area. Speaking of jewelry, I love a good sale/clearance but the store often has damaged goods for clearance. Earrings and necklaces missing jewels or are broken. Do those actually sell?!? Definitely not the quality I'd expect from a store like Saks, even if it is a discount store. Just remember to look your items over before making a purchase. read more

I love Saks! I can always find something that is unique and isn't currently being worn by everyone else on the island. The staff is always courteous and kind. Yesterday while I was in I received really exceptional service. I was looking for a white dress which in November even in Hawaii where it's summer all the time is like finding a needle in a haystack! As soon as I went in I let the sales lady know what I was looking for and I was able to find the one dress they had in ivory. The problem came because I needed a jacket to go with it. This is where the sales staff really shined. The sales lady, I wish I could remember her name really worked with me as I was determined to find something to go with the dress. Even after I wondered into another section another sales lady offered me a shopping cart to hold the dress while I continued look. Where else in the world can you get amazing Cashmere sweaters for 60% off??? No where! And those cashmere sweaters are put to the test because I wear them day in and day out especially in my cold office cubicle. It's definitely not the Italian made cashmere sweaters but they do their duty as cashmere should. Additionally, the shoe bargains during the holiday season was ah-may-zing! I got a pair of Elie Tahari brown leather heels for $100 dollars with a regular price of $300. Love them!!! I would suggest staying away from the sunglasses. I myself am a sunglasses whore... yes I admit. I die for a really nice pair of aviators. But I never buy a pair of sunglasses if there's no pair stored in the back waiting for me to buy. I really get peeved when I go to a sunglasses store and they tell me it's the last pair. And here at Off Saks, the glasses are not cared for all the time and there are constantly customers pulling them down, man handling them, and putting them back and who knows how nicely. They got all the best names and such a great selection. I rarely walk out of this store empty handed. Waikele can be a trek for some people, or the words "outlet" may deter shoppers who want to keep up with trends, and although merchandise can be a hit or miss, you can score some high quality products at a very good discounted price. They are the high end of discounted stores on the island. I would say it's a good spot to check out every now and then. It just isn't the store you want to go if you're looking for something specific since their merchandise changes very often and won't be fully stocked of all sizes when you see particular items, etc. Scored awesome designer shoes, dresses/various apparel, handbags, tote bags, accessories here. Brands like Via Spiga, Saks Off Fifth, Theory, James Perse, Tarte, Even, Rebecca Minkoff, Rock & Republic, Vince, Romeo & Juliet.. just to name a few off the top of my head. They have sales once in a while, like 20% off a single item, or entire purchase. Or Groupon, and even maybe twice a year (that's what a sales associate told me) they try to get rid of merchandise big time so they have a Buy 1 get 2 free sale. That's right, Buy ONE item, and get TWO for free! (special marked items, of course). One thing also nice is that the items here, you can almost be sure that no one else will have the same product since it seems like the buyers for the more common stores or boutiques (e.g. Nordstrom/Rack, Macys, etc) buy in massive quantities. When I find anything that fits well or looks great for work, going out, casual wear, etc, I certainly purchase it because I know it's 1) great quality, 2) is worth the money (aka will last longer) and 3) likely that no one else around has the exact same item. read more

I get weak at the knees for deals. I love Saks because of their lowered prices for name brand items. Free People, Marc by Marc, Wildfox, Juicy Couture, Young Fabulous & Broke, Splendid, Vince, etc. Lots of great brands for trendy youngings to business professionals. They have ongoing mark downs, and carry purses, sunglasses, shoes, and even kids clothing. Men and womens. Saks is not a great place if you care about trends though. Since it is an outlet, most of the items are of previous seasons, and i've even seen the same items stick around for more than two. It'll be summer, and they'll still have some sweaters and winter items. However, if you live somewhere like Hawaii where there is no style and people don't follow the latest fashion trends, then it's an awesome place to get cute clothing. Plus, we can wear things like dresses and tank tops year around, and Saks is nice to have in Hawaii for the designer labels of those at lowered prices. The service is nothing to comment on. The sales staff isn't very helpful, so I rarely ask for their assistance. You're pretty much on your own here. read more

I always look at the Creative Recreation selection that they have. I really like that brand but haven't found the color combination that I like. Browsing through the racks, one of the employees pushing all the items I'm looking at and of course not a hello from her either. Woman in the dressing room had zero customer service also, when I came out she was no where to be found. Older female employee seen me standing there and just walked by no acknowledgement. Someone needs to keep Kayla off the register. I stood there for a couple minutes before she called me over, literally threw my items in my bag, had an attitude with zero customer service.
