My favorite store! The area is amazing and convenient! The clothes are organized and always in stock!

Krystelle was the most personable cashier I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. She made my shopping experience so much better. She complimented a lot of the things I purchased and I felt more validated because girl power. She was also very kind and patient when I realized I over spent by $309 and needed to take it down a notch and return things. She was willing to help me re-scan items to make sure I felt comfortable with what I was willing to spend on. Seriously best experience from something that could've been an embarrassing one because she made me laugh and giggle through the whole thing. I've never had a bad experience at this Marshall's and everything is so tidy and organized. I am also obsessed with the Piper K brand unique clips and keychains. If you're looking for some great gifting options at a reasonable price, look no further than Marshall's. You'll find some hidden gems and really good brand new items for half the price. You'll also find a lot of quirky items that make giftgiving so much fun. Right now they have a really great gift bags that are velvet to the touch. Shopping in Kapolei, Oahu, Hawaii... I told my sister that I would look for BTS toothbrushes at Marshalls since I found some at TJ Maxx. I found out recently that Marshalls and TJ Maxx are related! There are currently two locations of Marshalls on this island: Ala Moana (Honolulu) and Kapolei. I have been to the Ala Moana store in the past, but I had never been to the Kapolei store... wow... it's spacious! This Kapolei Marshalls didn't have a "Korean Skin Care" sign like TJ Maxx. However, there was an area for Asian Skin Care that included Sanrio characters. I also found BT21 hair clips and Hello Kitty makeup brushes. There were a couple of Pink Sky items and several Creme products. I didn't look at Kitchen Gadgets, Pet supplies, shoes, purses, nor clothing. I did browse through the Clearance areas. I wanted to leave quickly before I spent too much... By the way - I didn't find any BTS toothbrushes... shucks! I'll be back in a couple of weeks since I'm close to getting my next Rewards certificate via email. Yes, I have a Marshalls/TJ Maxx credit card. ...because they do reward Loyal Customers... My girlfriend and I decided to go shopping here. I ended up buying a Hello Kitty sweatshirt and some sponges for my makeup. I love shopping here for stuff. Usually I don't find anything but I guess today I did. The store was fairly organized and clean. They seemed limited on things since it's a smaller store. I definitely like the items here. I think I've been in Marshlls five times this month. Love the store. Love that it's clean and organized. I love all the new workers there. They're all super friendly and kind. People walk the floor and asked to help. I needed some help looking for some gifts. And Someone walks me around to give me some ideas. Everyone seems happy to work there. Stress free shopping. Received a $50 gift card for this and 2 other stores. Perfect cuz I found fun items I needed. The biggest one was a covered plastic carry away container to keep my 2024 paid bills. I found a cute dressy evening bag for an upcoming cruise. Hubs found a small wire brush to take when we visit the graves to keep it free of bird deposits. I added another green felt bunny in another pose. The last item was a hair leave in conditioner for my recently rainbow colored dye job. Uncluttered, not crowded, it's a pleasure to drive out here to shop. read more

I doubt anyone from Marshalls is going to read this since they don't respond to reviews, but I wanted to share my humiliating experience as a warning to others. The main reason we decided to splurge on a shopping trip here today is because we had to take out some hefty loans for some major home repairs & necessary renovations, & Marshalls is a good place for necessities & work clothes at affordable prices - especially in the clearance areas. That being said, the shopping trip was great as always. We've been putting off shopping for necessities for months to focus on loan payments, so this was a wonderful opportunity to finally get some things we needed. But the checkout was when it got...odd. Our cashier was this lady with super short hair. I tend to make convo with the cashier so I said something about the items we got - to which she responded that she doesn't really shop there (at Marshalls). I...thought that was odd for a Marshalls worker to say, but okay. Then she got to the part where she asked if we wanted to open a credit card - jokingly saying we needed to give a really really good reason not to do it. So I told her the truth since I'm pretty open about my finances; that we had a specifically large amount of debt. I was expecting her to say something like, 'That's a really good reason', or try to convince me to apply for a card anyway - but instead, she exclaimed something like, 'And you're still shopping?!' My mind immediately went blank from being stunned. I've never had a cashier SHAME me for shopping at their store. I honestly should have said, "That's a good point" and left, but I was too stunned and embarrassed to do anything. I may have muttered an embarrassed, 'Yeah...' followed by a nervous laugh; and even tried to justify my purchase like a child being scolded by her parent. It was Humiliating. She continued on by saying, "Well if you were good, then I'd say you should apply for the card because (enter card perks here), but since you weren't..." I think my brain decided to block out the rest of what she said. I love Marshalls, and I love the deals - but this experience has made me never want to shop at a Marshalls again. I'm a retail exploring lover and this place is truly a treasure! Not the larger store on the island but is stunningly bright and organized place that has just the right amount of everything displayed so nice and easy to shop for. Unless I'm on a time constraint I will always stop at this Kapolei Commons location with convenient ample parking just steps away as you'll never know what you'll find here as I always have a list of things I'm in search for and in fear of missing out on a deal lol!!! They do have so many brands I do use it's only here I found a yoga knee pad that's super cushy and like two inch thick my mom uses as she had double knee surgery and has problems whenever she needs to get low to the ground, I've been searching for a back up since it's the only thing she loves, that and much more so it's just a matter of timing a quick check and I'm happy. If Ross Dress for Less is your goto spot for discount dealages, sometimes ya gotta think outside da box and check out other discount joints, and this is where Marshalls comes into play! There are not a lot of Marshalls stores on Oahu, but if you happen to be in the Kapolei neighborhood, there is a HUMONGOUS Marshalls store here. I drove all the way from town to check out this Marshalls Kapolei location, and I must say that this Marshalls store sure feels like it's 10 times larger, and better well stocked than the Marshalls store in the Ala Moana Shopping Center. I basically popped into this Marshalls to look around for some warm clothing, and I ended up with a University of Hawaii sweater! "GO Warriors!", Or should I say "GO BOWS!" Lol! I remembered back in the early 90's, Marshall's used to be one of my all time favorite discount clothing stores, as I remembered Marshalls entering the 808 community back in October 1993. After being in business for a few years, Marshalls & TJ Maxx decided to pull out of the islands somewhere in the late 90's. Lucky for us, both Marshalls & TJ Maxx decided it was the wrong move, and came back to the islands! Good to have competition ya know! :D Located at the Kapolei Commons, you can't miss the Marshalls store when you come here! Lots of free parking, so access to Marshalls is pretty easy. I haven't seen the appeal of this place until I visited this location. It was on a whim that we even walked in. Once we walked in, my partner immediately regretted taking me in. I stumbled upon a lot of cute products for a decent price BUT I decided against buying them. Clean store with lots of room to maneuver around and shop comfortably. Then again my partner was pushing the cart, not me. It's those little carts too. Just need to dig around and you'll find something, and who knows it might be a REALLY reduced price or on clearance. The merchandise leading to the cashiers were very distracting that we ended up picking something up along the way, ha ha. Cashier we got was friendly and efficient. Did everything right the first time and we're on our way! read more

I LOVE SHOPPING AT MARSHALLS - but this experience ruined it for me & I don't think I could ever trust putting anything on hold at this location ever again! A friend of mine found Juicy Couture Daydreamer tote bag I have been wanting & she was so kind enough to put it on HOLD for me till I got off work & was able to go pick it up. We both made sure they they would be able to hold it till the END OF DAY (this location closes at 9:30pm) I got off work at 7pm yesterday (keep in mind I'm coming from town area). Got to Marshall's around 7:30pm, walked the store a bit to see what other goodies they had. I finally went to the checkout & I was trying to locate the bag bc I wanted to make a cute little vlog for my IG. Didn't see so I thought they had put it somewhere. I told the clerk (Asian lady with short red hair) I had a bag on hold under my name. She was trying find it then asked me what was the description of the bag. Told her exactly what it was & she then told me they were gonna check the back to see if someone had put it away.. at this point I'm thinking "why would they put something on hold in the back room?" - she was then notified by the MOD, Mohealani (sp?) that there was nothing on hold for me.. SO THEREFORE, THAT MEANT AN EMPLOYEE HAD PUT MY ITEM BACK ON THE FLOOR & THE ITEM SOLD TO SOMEONE ELSE! They said they were gonna search the floor to see if it was still somewhere, but it's a fricken Juicy Couture bag that's pretty much "rare" so of course it's not gonna be anywhere to be found. I'm FURIOUS at this point! I asked the manager why would you guys allow your employees to do that?! She said they do tell their workers not to put anything back on the floor till the end of day & she even saw the bag on the counter with a tag on it, THAT HAD MY NAME ON IT!!! She tried calling Tj Maxx to see if they had it in stock but I highly doubted it. The best she could do was take my name/number down & if they were to ever get it again I shipment, they would put it on hold for me. Whoever that employee was that put an ON HOLD item back on the floor is totally messed up.. & the manager working at that time of day should've said something to stop them! I've heard numerous incidents like this from this exact location so it seems like an ongoing thing, which is totally fu*** up! They have a policy to keep items on hold till the end of day, but they don't stick to their words. read more

Limited inventory, it seems they have a little bit of everything. A few scarce or bare shelves here and there but I was able to find the brand name hair products at 40%off. read more

Finally! The first Marshall's to reopen since 1996, and in the second city of Oahu, Kapolei. Located in the Kapolei Commons area. Closer to Ross and Down to Earth side. Right next door to Ulta! A sister store to TJ Maxx, both offer similar merch. The official grand opening was yesterday 5/30/19. It got pretty hectic during my visit the day after the grand opening and apparently I came during a time where the staff was running around like chickens without heads trying to restock the empty shelves & racks. At least I got checked on..eventually! It was a miss for me but my boys were able to shop around and get some stuff. To my surprise, I walked out empty handed other than purchasing their items. I'm sure I'll be back sooner than later though! Can't go wrong with marked down name brands instead of paying full price! The line wasn't too bad to check out. My only complaint is that they do not have a maternity section. Boo! Use your TJ Maxx credit card if you have one to rack up points for future discount. read more

Yes, I drive all the way to Kapolei to shop here. They have ceramic pots for plants!! As I mentioned in a previous review for Marshalls, I find the Kapolei store better stocked. I'm guessing it's because there is less traffic. People here are nice, stock is neat and I'm better able to find things I need/want. Parking is abundant and they are good about controlling how many people enter the store and make sure the carts are clean. If you have big items that are too hard to carry to the car, they will watch your cart while you bring your car around and help you load. Thank you Marshalls! read more

I love this store! It's huge, clean, practicing social distancing and lots of great bargains! Friendly sales associates too! Marshall's is a sister store of TJ MAXX, and they have very similar things. You can find some unique items here which I like. I found some cute kitchen Christmas items, but they have an assortment of doggy things, to toys, clothes, snacks, and other things at very reasonable prices! read more

Workers were all super friendly, and there were LOTS of great items - way better than the Marshall's in Ala Moana. All the aisles were relatively filled with different unique items which was nice, because at other stores like Ross, I see 48 of the same exact items. Products also seemed like much better quality for around the same prices as Ross. read more

Decided to check this place out being we were in Kapolei. The store is very neat (hopefully it can stay that way) and organized. The prices are a little higher than Ross' but at least your product isnt all damaged. Some of the toy boxes were a little damaged but nothing major. The only down fall is that throughout the whole store I only seen 1 employee stocking toys. Other than that pretty kool store... Now lets get to the check out. Im not gonna bash on the cashier but poor girl just started and seemed like she got NO training at all. She didnt know how to ring things up or bag our things (which I offered to bag) as well as give change back. For example our total was $82.02, I gave her $100.02, poor girl said "um you gave me $100.02, what do I do with the $.02?!" I had to ask her Huh? bc I thought I heard wrong :((. I ended up explaining to her that I didnt want $.98 in change so she can just give me the bills im change, poor girl was so confused. She apologized and I told her it was alright and she'll get it, everyone had a first job:)) read more

What a great store! For us Hawaii residents easiest way to explain it in my opinion is Ross is to Walmart like Marshall is to Target. A slightly more expensive nicer Ross. Big store lots of parking, just watch because that's a pretty busy street to be walking infront of oncoming cars Prices were very decent for the quality of products in there Staff was amazing up and down each aisle cleaning up constantly Loved our purchases!! read more

I love this location. Very convenient and my favorite is the shoes... FINALLY. This store is a sister company to TJMaxx so they have similar items, excluding shoes. I love the location because it is close to food and other shopping stores. There's not too many things in here so it's not as crowded which I like. The selections are good, sometimes it looks like they haven't gotten shipment, but I think that's how they like it? The clean look. There's also better men's shirts here than TJMaxx so I like looking here for my husbands clothing. Their kids section is on the smaller side but besides that, it's great! read more

After having lived on the mainland for years, it was wonderful to see Marshall's open up in Kapolei. TJ Maxx, the sister company is also located a stone's throw away in the same shopping center. The store is very clean, and is always well stocked. The clearance areas are great for picking up those little extras that you might not need, but MUST have. The layout of the store is very nice. Shopping carts are always available. MOST importantly, the check lane is great. There are always many employees manning the cash registers, so you are in and out quickly. I really love shopping at this store. It's bright, (mostly) organized and this newish location has an inviting layout. At the end of winter and summer, they normally discount most of their items. The first round of markdowns are a great deal and is the best time to go for guaranteed wide selection. However, if you wait until the final markdown, prices are even cheaper, but the sizes and items are limited. Last year, thanks to our multiple Covid induced shut-downs, the store was so behind on their end-of-summer clearance that they automatically reduced their prices on most items in store to $1-$5 dollars. It was a madhouse! The lines, both inside and outside, were ridiculous. People were buying several cartloads of items they just piled into their carts knowing they can always give them to someone they know as Christmas gifts or possibly even ship them to the Philippines. I saw all you frugal Filipinos hoarding as much items as you can grab off the shelves. Lol. Nothing wrong with that! I commend you for your thriftiness. After the hordes of locust ransacked the store, it was practically empty and looked like they were going out of business. Luckily, the fall and winter items were stocked several weeks later and the place went back to normal. Another reason why I like shopping at this location is that their prices are cheaper than the Ala Moana location. Yes, location matters. I have found several items here at a much lower price than at Ala Moana. Once, I purchased a bathing suit on clearance at Kapolei but it was a smaller size than what I needed. I found the exact same bathing suit in the size I needed at Ala Moana for a higher price, but the Ala Moana manager wouldn't match the Kapolei price. I even had the receipt with me so they can verify, but no can do. Patrons here seem more genteel than those who shop at Ross, which is odd because it's located in the same plaza. read more

This has to be one of the nicest Marshalls I've ever been to I hope it stays that way. Originally the building is built to be a Home goods a part of the same company that owns Marshalls. Which means this Marshalls has hardwood floors better lighting and just overall a higher-end store in the terms of facilities. the layout is organized the staff does care about the way the store looks lines move quickly at checkout and there are some good Hawaiian exclusive hidden treasures at this Marshalls. I prefer Marshalls and TJ Maxx over Ross any day of the week just because it's cleaner and more organized. The pet department at this Marshalls is great. I've been there about four times since they opened up and each time I've been impressed and satisfied with the condition of the store and the customer service found at a department store like a Marshalls. read more

Literally tj maxx with another name. I knew it was a sister company to tjmaxx but I thought it'd have different stuff. I was excited for something new considering we live in hawaii and there Isn't as many stores as in the mainland. But this is just another tj maxx. Literally the same exact items and same pricing. Parking is good. Not a fan of the store layout. The dressing rooms have no privacy at all other than the doors blocking you. People are constantly walking right past the rooms as it isn't in its own enclosed area. It seems smaller than tjmaxxs. Why go here for the same stuff when you can just go right down the road to a bigger store??? read more

I've always seen Marshalls between a Ross and a TJ Maxx....this one still fits under that description. Has items that are similar to what Tj Maxx would carry but cluttered like Ross. It's not a bad thing, just how I see their similarities. Staff seemed helpful and there were a lot of them, most likely cause they just opened this store's location though. Only thing that seemed off was their dressing rooms. It's not clearly marked, like there's a lot of signs in general..but it seemed randomly placed and squished in like they forgot to build an area for their dressing rooms. I couldn't find it at first and others too...I ended up pointing it out for two other ladies who were asking where it was- btw it's on the back right wall. Thanks for being as rude as you can be and for crossing your arms and staring at us because we were in the checkout line 3 minutes after closing. Then having the audacity to go over the PA and announce the closing for the 3rd time in 5 minutes and slamming the phone in the process. Oh and also thanks for coming up to us at 933p and saying your going to close the register so we can either pay for it or we can leave. Or what? You're really going to close the register and make us leave 3 minutes after closing?. Apparently she is a shift supervisor, and unfortunately that's the furthest she will go in a retail environment with that attitude. Store manager will be receiving a call as well, as this is the 2nd time I've been treated this way at this location. I would avoid and go to Ross rather than this place at this point. read more

It's TJMaxx with a different name. They are literally from the same parent company. The have pretty much the exact same stuff for the same prices. Maybe a little bit more men's selection at Marshall's. Definitely larger selection of home furnishings at TJMaxx. If you've been to a TJMaxx, you've experience Marshall's. read more

I was in this store and wondered why there was only one person running the register when there were 7 people in the line! The clerk, Flynn, said everyone else was on the floor helping with price tickets. I never saw any other store personnel, not even at the dressing rooms. I bet they have high shrink! read more
