Every-time! perfect! 10/10!! Staff are some of the best I've ever seen, so kind to children as well. The food SLAPS every-time. Delicious. Great restaurant. I wish I could give more stars. I love eating here and will always be a return customer. Perfect for date night, celebrations, everything and anything - it's perfect here. I travel from Manhattan to eat here. Favorites are Tokyo shrimp, the chicken curry, the sushi, they also have chef specials. Even with take out or delivery it's always great.

Had a great experience at Sakura 7. Even on a Friday night there was no wait although they were busy. Great service and we loved the sushi! We can't wait to come back and try more food options! My tip is to try the maspeth roll! Lobster tempeura was sooo delicious topped with lobster salad, yummy yummy!

I was in between 3 and 4 stars but I ended up going with 4. The sushi isn't the best quality I have ever had but they have a good lunch special and tons of options. The service is fast and the space is clean.

This is the one of the worst place I have eaten, very dirty and terrible service. There was hair in my noodle and I did eat them. This area needs one good Japanese upscale restaurant.

This is one of our favorite sushi places in Queens. We come here every other week. Great sushi!

I recommend eating here if you're in the area, they have good sushi. I've eaten here twice now and haven't had anything bad. The first time I visited there was a mix-up with my order (served Philadelphia roll as opposed to Phoenix roll), but the waitress fixed this pretty quickly. The interior is nice too. I included a picture of the coconut shrimp and the sushi my partner and I ordered (pre-order fix). In the photo of the sushi Left to right; [rectangular dish] sunshine roll, Philadelphia roll (back), eel roll (front), [boat dish] salmon(back), salmon avocado (middle), spicy salmon (front). I did not get a picture of the Phoenix roll (ate it too quickly) but it was delicious.

I order some food last night 2 hours after I eat wasn't much a couple of pieces of salmon roll Sakura rice and a bit of miso soup only food I had all day ever since last night I've been throwing up going to the bathroom all day on Monday, November 13, 2023 horrible feeling to be food poisoning I called them up they don't care they just left me hanging on the phone

    Fried Crab Meat Salad ?

Service was a clear 10/10 They were super polite, made sure you never ran out of water, and they offer guava candy near the cashier!! The appetizer is undoubtedly the best thing I've ever eaten from Sakura 7, though I'm not sure what the name is.... The crunchiness of the batter coating crab meat paired with the sauces are the first thing you taste, followed by the soft crab meat inside. The heat of the fried crab meat can be cooled down with the refreshing crab meat salad in the middle, consisting of salmon roe, thinly sliced cucumber and crab meat. They offered miso soup or salad, and I ordered miso soup. The miso soup was super rich, and the tofu was tender. I ordered a set meal and every part of it was impeccable. The California rolls were full of flavor, you can taste the freshness of the ingredients in the avocado. I'm not a fan of salad in general, but the salad and dressing whets the appetite. The shrimp dumplings were succulent and perfectly paired with the slightly sweet and spicy sauce that comes with it. And finally, the teriyaki salmon. The carrot was a bit hard to bite into but the vegetables in all were fine, aside from the coldness of the broccoli and baby corn. The rich and sweet teriyaki sauce and the tender yet crispy-on-the-edges salmon covered fluffy rice and onions at a perfect balance of crunch and tenderness allowing you to cleanse your palate and experience a mix of textures.

Not bad for a local sushi spot. Maspeth has some good sushi restaurants, and luck was on my side as first come first serve actually worked out, as a crowded tiny restaurant had just one table for two left for me and my sexy Valentine's. Valentine's Day was is full effect. Couples, couples, couples. Enjoyed the Kani salad, and the rolls were delicious. My wife and I enjoyed the service as well. As busy as the waitress was she did not forget about us. Wait was pretty standard for the main course and appetizers came out quick. The salmon lady roll is right up my alley with a good spice kick and the fantasy roll is a roll I recommend everyone try. Being with my gorgeous wife made a hard working day more pleasant with a quick date night on Valentine's Day. Good job Sakura 7. Mission accomplished.

Even before the food arrives, the restaurant leaves a strong impression with its stunning Japanese-inspired interior. The space is beautifully designed, blending warmth and elegance in a way that feels both inviting and refined. From the soft lighting to the natural wood accents and thoughtfully arranged decor, everything about the atmosphere feels intentional. It captures the intimate charm of a traditional izakaya while still feeling modern and stylish, making it a wonderful setting for anything from a casual dinner to a more special night out. The food more than lived up to the beauty of the space. One of the first highlights was the salmon onigiri, a dish that proved how satisfying simplicity can be when it is done well. The rice was soft, fresh, and perfectly formed, holding together without feeling too compact, while the salmon added a savory richness that made each bite feel comforting and flavorful. It was balanced, delicate, and deeply satisfying in a way that made it memorable despite its simplicity. The seared salmon salad was another standout. The salmon itself was beautifully prepared, with a lightly seared exterior that gave it a subtle crispness, while the inside remained tender, buttery, and smooth. That contrast in texture made the dish especially enjoyable. Paired with the freshness of the salad, it felt light and refreshing, yet still substantial enough to feel like more than just a side dish. It was a dish that managed to feel both clean and indulgent at the same time. The grilled squid was particularly impressive and easily one of the most memorable items of the meal. Squid can often be difficult to get right, as it can become rubbery or overly chewy if even slightly overcooked, but that was absolutely not the case here. The texture was spectacular--tender, delicate, and pleasantly springy without any toughness. Each bite had a light smokiness from the grill that added depth, while the squid itself retained its natural sweetness. It was expertly prepared and showcased a level of precision that really stood out. For the main courses, both the Tonkatsu Ramen and the Black Pepper Ramen delivered distinct experiences, each with its own appeal. The Tonkatsu Ramen was deeply comforting and satisfying, with a broth that had a rich, velvety texture and a full-bodied depth that coated the palate beautifully. It felt smooth, hearty, and luxurious without being too heavy. The noodles had an ideal texture as well--firm enough to provide a satisfying bite, yet soft enough to soak up the broth and integrate perfectly into the dish. Altogether, it was a bowl that felt warming, balanced, and incredibly comforting. The Black Pepper Ramen, on the other hand, brought a bolder and more assertive flavor profile. The broth had a smooth, glossy texture, and the noodles again had a pleasing chew that gave the dish structure and substance. The black pepper added an unmistakable warmth and aromatic intensity that made the ramen stand out immediately. It was flavorful and memorable, though the pepper was slightly overwhelming at times. A bit less black pepper would have allowed the other flavors in the broth to come through more clearly and created a more balanced bowl. Even so, the ramen was still enjoyable, especially for those who appreciate strong, pepper-forward flavors. Overall, Izakaya Fuku is a restaurant that succeeds on every level. The stunning Japanese interior creates an atmosphere that feels both immersive and elegant, while the food reflects a real attention to detail in both flavor and texture. From the comforting salmon onigiri, to the fresh and beautifully prepared seared salmon salad, to the expertly grilled squid with its exceptional texture, and finally the rich and satisfying ramen dishes, every part of the meal felt carefully executed. It is a place that offers not just excellent food, but a complete dining experience, and it is well worth visiting for anyone looking for standout Japanese cuisine in New York.

First of all, we couldn't find the place because there is no signage. I guess that's part of the "charm"? But literally when we found it we didn't even know if the place was open. The gates were down, the windows were basically covered and nothing about the place was welcoming. We realized they were in fact open so we approached the door. We were greeted by a piece of paper stating "reservations only". We entered anyway and the place was EMPTY. There was one couple seated but other than that the place was EMPTY. The hostess approached us and I asked her if we needed a reservation and she said we did. So we said ok we'll come back another time and then she said, " well since it's pretty quiet tonight we can seat you." We should have left. We were in there for about an hour give or take and no one else came in at all. At all. Anyways, we ordered our food. I ordered the sashimi plate and my husband ordered a couple rolls. We also ordered the crab and avocado salad and the hamachi kama. Everything was basic. Nothing was amazing...oh except the price of the hamachi kama. Menu said market price and I get it, that means the price will fluctuate accordingly, but $60 for the hamachi kama? I almost fell off my chair when the bill came. I have eaten at very high end sushi restaurants and am almost 50 years old. I have never had a $60 hamachi kama. This one wasn't even tasty!!! It was not good or flavorful. Tasted like they just defrosted and microwaved it. I was wondering why i kept hearing a microwave go off but realized after the fact that that's what they must have done. I did not complain. We paid the bill. We left. Later that night I had stomach issues. Nicest way I can put that. I will say that i ate almost nothing that day so I can only attribute the stomach issues to the sushi. Needless to say we will not be back.

The strawberry part was more like a jam, so it was a little sweet for me, but overall a decent drink. I would have preferred crushed strawberries, though. Later, I came back for dinner at the tail end of the day. I was leaning towards the beef curry bowl because I like bolder flavors, but the karaage chicken is a hit here, so I ordered that in bowl form. First off, all the contents were very fresh! The chicken pieces were crisp and tasty. The burdock on the side had a smoky umami that was quite nice - it was the best of the 3 sides - and the spicy mayo was on point. Still, I think I would have gone with the curry given my taste buds, but overall the karaage bowl is a solid choice. Lastly, while the container looks small in circumference, it is taller than other takeout containers, so the portions are really about the same as any other restaurant. The nori fries were subtle in flavor but the nori still made its presence known. All in all it was a great experience. The owners are very nice, also. I will go back for the curry and yakiniku, too.
