Lunch special-Any 3 Rolls Lunch: white tuna scallion, eel avocado, salmon cucumber
    Audrey L.

This spot is good for sushi rolls and sashimi if you're not looking for anything too fancy. I have dined in and ordered takeout from here and the food was good every time. Their lover's boat is generous portion-wise and the rolls were very tasty. The miso soup, sadly, is subpar. I was also a bit put off by the fact that when I went there last week, the price on the menu was outdated, so I was charged more for my meal than I was expecting, which was an unpleasant surprise.

    My order
    Magdelyn G.

Once again I ate my food without taking a photo, I hate it lol. I remember after. Attached is a photo of my order. I got two different rolls. I ordered through Grubhub. I crossed out all the personal info. My first roll was the king crab roll. They were wrapped small so I didn't get a lot of the crab taste from it but I still thought it really good. The roll was shaped nicely and clean. My second roll was the salmon tempura roll and what a mess. The roll was huge and kept falling apart. It's like no effort was made in wrapping it and making it look nice. On the other hand it tasted delicious. Probably wouldn't order this specific roll again, but it tasted good. If you ask me would I order again from here YES, but I'd search Yelp for photos next time. I've had worse sushi so would definitely try this place again

    Seared Tuna Salad

A dependable option for sushi in the neighborhood, have always enjoyed anything we've gotten from here. The Astoria Roll is a new favorite, as well as the salmon dumplings. Will have the tuna dumplings next. Unique and delicious, it has avocado, scallion and crunch inside and is served with a wasabi vinaigrette sauce (not spicy). The seared tuna salad was an interesting texture bc it's seared, would have enjoyed more if raw, it was made better by the salad and dressing that comes with it. The blue crab summer roll was a little underwhelming, the sundried tomato was interesting to try but wasn't for us. Service was good, friendly. There are only a few tables inside.

a plate of sushi and a bowl of sauce

Been trying to find a good local sushi spot and came across this place on Grubhub. Looked promising and prices weren't too crazy. Long story short, the taste is not bad and loved that they used real crab but the size and quantity is so small. It's comparable to a chain supermarket sushi pack just more expensive and less pieces. Not to mention they made one of the sushi's wrong. A bit disappointing. I would try them again though based on the fact that the taste was decent and I didn't get sick the next day. (Sushi looks much bigger in the pictures)

This place is down the street from me and that is very dangerous (because I will keep spending all my money on sushi). They have Delicious, fresh, sushi and a great lunch special. The six flag roll is to die for!

    A fly on the sushi
    Gabriella S.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Ordered sushi from here and there was a fly walking around on top of the sushi while the container was still closed. After seeing the fly. We refused to eat the meal. We Called the restaurant and they said they said they can only refund the sushi not the whole meal. The lady was rude and said you can just eat the miso soup, then hung up didn't even apologize. After seeing the fly we don't trust eating the rest of the meal. This is unsanitary and unacceptable. Especially when they, serve literal raw fish. Do not eat here. Literally DISGUSTED

A little better than my first visit. Junko has greatly improved service and quality of food choices. Though it is best known for its vegetarian dishes, this sushi restaurant has a decent chicken teriyaki. I might be back.

This place is the best. It has amazing stuff and people and my family is close with the owner. They are friendly welcoming and good people. The food is always so amazing I recommend 10/10. Best experience going there. There delivery is also amazing and food still is great.

Ordered take out from here and I was pleasantly surprised. They have great quality dishes and their sushi tastes amazing! They also use real crab in their rolls which is a huge plus. Will definitely be my new go-to for sushi!

The restaurant is quite small, with one table that seats 4, and seating at the window. There are 2 small tables outside, as well. Be careful when you go inside because there is a step after you open the door. Packaging was convenient with the handle around the sushi box. Overall, the fish was mediocre considering the price. Some pieces were soft while others were very stringy and chewy. I am not one to dip sashimi in soy sauce because I like to just enjoy the natural flavor of raw fish with a little wasabi. However, since the fish was a bit fishy, I needed a little soy sauce to mask the taste. The wasabi was also on the mild side, so I added more than I usually would. I would have rated this place a 3/5, if I did not find a hair sitting on top of the ginger...

Noz Market fits an ever diminishing niche of good quality sushi and ambiance at a somewhat decent price point. I got the $155 option which was enough to feel full. The Chase Sapphire Reserve dining credit is applicable here, which is very helpful. The service was really good. I noticed that crumbs were dealt with expeditiously and my ice water never went empty. The tuna egg yolk appetizer was decent. The ten pieces of nigiri were as follows: 1. Scallop 2. Squid 3. Golden eye snapper: kinmedai 4. Horse mackerel: aji 5. Japanese bonito: katsuo 6. Rock shrimp 7. Yellowtail: buri (Note: I've never seen this, usually see Hamachi which is less mature) 8. Bluefin Tuna: akami 9. Chu toro 10. Oh toro The uni course was Hokkaido uni. Not as unctuous as Santa Barbara, but still good. The toro taku hand roll was a good size. It was toro with pickled yellow radish. The miso soup was very savory. I feel like there was some faint mushroom taste. I ordered two supplemental prices. Sea bream (Madai) and Knife jaw (Ishidai). They taste similar but I like the texture of the latter a bit more. I'd never had this before. Hojicha green tea. Strawberry cheesecake was delicious; however, diners this night did not get matcha Mont Blanc like others wrote about, which was a slight bummer.

They offered two different option a $90 course option and a $155 course option and you choose which one you want when you first make the reservation. Highly recommend making a reservation when you come here because it did fill up on a Monday evening. The sushi chef was very professional but did not really chat with us - he made each piece and then told us what each piece was and that was pretty much the extent of the conversation. The quality of the fish was really good and the rice was nice and warm. They offer you extra items that you can order at the end and I highly recommend getting a toro or crab handroll at the end because they were both delicious. For the $155 option it does come with a Matcha Monte Blanc as a dessert which was pretty yummy and it was a nice touch since not all omakase places come with a dessert at the end. Everyone was very friendly and professional here and I do recommend checking this place out. It did not feel like they were rushing you out the door!

The restaurant had multiple areas set up as such. The omakase serves many typical offerings starting off with hamachi, kanpachi, shima aji, and kinmedai. They do clearly ask about rice and wasabi preference in size throughout the dinner which is quite considerate. Drink menu was fine with a number of sake options including the chefs sharing glasses throughout the meal! The fish tasted good and fresh, rice was fine though nothing memorable. Middle courses had uni, ikura and snow crab - good courses and filling. Finally we ended with the premium courses - toro caviar and a5 Wagyu with uni. I would've preferred the toro/wagyu alone and is just my personal preference that the gourmet add ons don't enhance the piece for me. Otherwise they were very good. You then have the option to order additional courses including extras off the menu. Overall sushi by m is an excellent value for the omakase course and quality of fish. The dining experience is quite hospitable towards each party and chefs are quite engaging. I would definitely recommend for casual omakase experiences!

Instead we got seated. We shared calamari and a California roll, and my husband had tuna sashimi. I had a miso soup and the Wagyu fried rice. I'd give this place 6 stars if I could for the ambiance and wow factor. But what was disappointing was the Wagyu fried rice had almost microscopic bits of beef. I guess I should have expected that for only $16. Calamari was excellent. So was the soup. California rolls were okay. In total our bill was $164 which seemed like a lot considering we didn't even leave stuffed - just comfortable. I get that we were paying for the location and scenery - if we ever go back we will sit at the bar and do the happy hour deals. In all - upscale, cozy and high quality. I'm sure it attracts a lot of locals. But I'd rather go to one of the many great sushi places in Hell's Kitchen for more food, less money.
