Food is Still just as good as last time I've been. Staff is friendly as always! Love coming to this place!

    Chicken Katsu

My new favorite place! I've been here three times now and the service is always amazing and the staff is so sweet! I love the portion variety on their lunches. I had the Chicken Katsu lunch which is what's in my picture.

General Tso, Side Vegetable Lo Mein

Sakura Cafe is run by a couple. Their wait times are very long due to this reason. I waited about 50 minutes for my call in order. The owners very kindly asked if I could wait that long for an order. They also refused some orders because they weren't able to accommodate. I ordered the general tso chicken, side order of vegetable lo mein, rainbow roll, and crazy tuna roll. The food here is OK. Their spicy mayo sauce here is different from other sushi joints. I didn't love it on the crazy tuna roll. I would however get the rainbow roll again.

I went to this place because I saw how great the reviews were. This place was incredible. It was all you would expect from a high-end Japanese restaurant. All of their sauces seem homemade. The crab rangoons were the best I've ever had and the yumyum sauce was amazing. The spicy tuna roll was also top-notch. I would recommend everyone come here and try it. The service is a little slow but the two owners running it are so nice and so tentative. Please don't miss out on this place.

From my reconnaissance results, everything was wonderful at this restaurant. The hostess greeted me immediately and gave me a tour of the restaurant when I told her that I was surveying and comparing different Japanese restaurants in the area. She asked questions about my event and what I wanted in the experience. The restaurant was bright and clean, which I absolutely loved. Other places were way too dark for my preference. We toured the bar area, the sushi area, and the hibachi area. Everything was clean, organized and inviting. The hostess was very friendly, informative and helpful. She asked about the times that I might come and even suggested the best times for particular days. I felt so comfortable that I wanted to end the tour and order something to eat on this mission, but I decided against it until I found out that they serve dim sum. Since these delicacies are generally not available where I live, I decided to try a few of my favorites. While the taste of the shrimp & pork dumplings was underwhelming, the sesame balls were perfect. I am excited to bring my family here for the hibachi experience and I will update this review afterward. Update after the hibachi experience. When the five of us arrived on a Friday at 5:30 PM, we were greeted immediately. My tour guide from the previous day, remembered me and told the hostess to seat us at a special table. Then the usual process of hibachi started. Our cook was very interactive, funny and entertaining. He prepared our food wonderfully, seasoned it well and entertained us expertly. My cousin, whom had never experienced a hibachi dinner/entertainment prior to this, thoroughly enjoyed her dinner and raved about coming back sometime soon. We all had such a wonderful experience that we will return.

Check the photos - I'm not making this up. Sludge, muck, and dust were everywhere. And what I at first thought was a giant cob web was actually the home of 2x LIVING spiders. *Note = spiders only live where there's food for them to survive. In this case there were tiny flies. Wonder where else the flies are. Service: Friendly and direct. Business oriented, not customer-experience oriented. Food: I ordered the chicken hibachi. 95% of the order was rice with about 4-5 oz of chicken plus veggies. Rice = flavorless, pointless filler Carrots = unseasoned boiled carrots Cabbage + broccoli = salty, unappetizing, thoughtless, gross. Chicken = weird chewy texture like it was bad meat that had been de-thawed improperly. Flavors of only sear and teriyaki sauce. Pink sauce = weird, sour, onion-based, and gross Teriyaki sauce = pleasant at first with a horrible aftertaste. Maybe it's old? I literally took a bite of each thing to make this description then threw the entire meal away. It was that unpleasant. I will never be back. Glad I didn't waste any more money here.

While visiting from out of town and my graduation dinner at Le Moyne's. Now I am pretty sure my party of 6 had great honored to have Adam as our waiter. Adam was entertaining and knowledgeable about the menu and Mobile alike. In our party we tried a variety of dishes from beef Wellington to Australian Wagu and Japanese Wagu. There were no disappointments on the entrées. The Japanese Wagu is cooked at tableside which is an interesting experience. The shareable sides our table had the asparagus, brussels sprouts, macaroni and cheese and mash potatoes. I enjoyed the sides too, but didn't care much for the potatoes. You could taste the quality of ingredients in every bite. The bartender was wonderful, he definitely stayed busy and we even had the delight for the Manager to shake up a paper plane. The menus do come in a sealed envelope, which is a nice touch, there is a book that you can sign in which your receipt comes in. I would recommend visiting Le Moyne's Chophouse for a celebration, date night, or just because. And when back in the area I definitely would ask for Adam!

We had a very friendly waitress that timed our meal perfectly. We started with the gyoza a pork dumpling. The dumpling itself was taaty and prepared well however a theme emerged here, the sauce was very sweet. Even our house salad with ginger dressing was sweet. The greens were cold and fresh. Next we both had the sea bass entree with mixed vegetables and fried rice. The fish was cooked perfectly but again, the sauce that covered the fish was sweet. This may be the style here and while the food was cooked well it was overshadowed in both our opinions by the sweetness of every dish. Perhaps the sushi was the way to go.
