I really wanted to understand the hype around We Roll, especially after seeing so many glowing reviews on Instagram. Unfortunately, I left wondering if we all went to the same place. The concept is great: all-you-can-eat sushi and Japanese food for around $25/person, but instead of a traditional buffet, you order from the menu and everything is brought to the table. Just know they charge $1 for each piece of sushi left uneaten, depending on the roll. We tried a little of everything. I ordered the hibachi chicken and my husband ordered the teriyaki chicken. Both came out fairly quickly, but both were dry AF. The sushi, on the other hand, was actually good and tasted fresh. Service was another story. Some of our sushi took around 20 minutes to arrive...and we're talking two pieces at a time. Then came the part I couldn't overlook. One piece of sushi arrived with hot eel and spicy mayo on top, but the fish itself wasn't warm, which immediately made me question how long the rice had been sitting. I also noticed spots in one of the sauces that looked like something growing in a Petri dish. I asked whether the sauces were prepared ahead of time and was told yes, they're made in advance and refrigerated. And then I went to the bathroom. Nope. It was dirty enough that I decided I could hold it until I got home. For me, when the restroom isn't clean in a restaurant, it makes me question what's happening in the areas I can't see. Overall: Yes, it's only about $25 a person. But inexpensive doesn't mean my standards for cleanliness, food handling, or service disappear. I'd rather spend more or skip the all-you-can-eat concept altogether and go somewhere else. The sushi itself had potential, but between the dry entrées, slow service and cleanliness concerns, I wouldn't return. Ok I have heard so much good things about the place. So I decided to take my out of town family to the restaurant Sunday September 6th. My God we put our order in and it took over 15 minutes to get to us. They never gave us chop sticks,wasabi or something to put either in when they did bring it to us. No communication as usual in a Mobile restaurant. What is so hard to tell us. We are short staffed and are behind? The sushi is good so are the rolls but, the service sucks bitt. read more

I decided to try this place for the first time today. Overall it was a disappointment. It's primarily an all you can eat restaurant with a wide variety to choose from, especially sushi. But there is a regular menu to choose from as well if you're not wanting the all you can eat option. Mid afternoon on a Saturday there was no wait for a table. Service was decent. I ordered from the regular menu. The food is mediocre. I didn't realize just how good my regular Asian restaurants I usually go to were until I ate here. In fact, there's another Asian restaurant in the same shopping center that is way better. I probably won't be back or recommend it to anyone. Meh. Nothing else to add really. Lil Pug loves this place due to getting a variety of sushi. Service is always decent, place seems clean enough, and employees nice enough. I find the food to be average at best but what do I expect from AYCE sushi? Prices like a visit to regular pay for what you eat spot and no real bargain for meh food. First thing you need to know is that this place is all you can eat but is NOT a buffet. The have appetizers, soup, sushi, hibachi and ice cream for dessert. The cost is $23+ food was yummy. Not the best I ever had but respectable. Our server was great and explained how things worked. She did mention that they are the most busy on Fri & Sat nights as well as Sun mornings. 4-4.5 stars! Okay let me just say, the prices here are amazing for the AYCE! ($25) The servers are young and friendly, and since it wasn't too busy, service was VERY quick! The ambiance is very bright and cute. Can be a date spot or just somewhere to eat with friends (or a group). The sushi was pretty good! I think my only complaint is my deep fried roll wasn't as crispy as I'd hoped and my salmon roll had a slight "fishy" taste usually indicating a lower grade of fish. But it wasn't too much to be overpowering or unpleasant. I also noticed that my Christmas roll (which has salmon and tuna) did NOT have that fishy flavor so it could just be I got a slightly older portion for my salmon roll and a fresher one for the Christmas roll. There is nothing good about this place. Atmosphere, food, service. Claim all you can eat but come by once every half hour and you have to order one plate at a time. No alcohol service anymore. They don't serve condiments with the sushi unless you ask. The tables are sticky and dirty. The fish tastes like it's washed in bleach water. They will serve one person in your party while the others wait 15 more minutes to served. They should do themselves a favor and close down. read more

Visited after Christmas towards the end of lunch service. Our waitress was busy and didn't make eye contact unless specifically waiting on our table. Since we needed real forks, yumyum sauce, etc in addition to the usual service of ordering and drink refills, it slowed the pace of the meal. Dishes are delivered directly from the kitchens by different staff. Let's look at the food: I ordered the Crazy Friday Roll with "shrimp tempura, cream cheese, and salmon inside with snow crabmeat, crab stick and crunchy(ies). Sauce: spicy mayo and eel sauce." Sushi was was delicious! We also ordered shrimp tempura, crabmeat wonton, spring roll, Hibachi Beef, Teriyaki Chicken, and vegetables fried rice. These were mostly mehhh. Hibachi not as strong as the sushi here. These are tapas like servings and it's printed on menus additional charge for leftovers. I get this could be an issue, but for first time visitors it might limit your experience if you dislike a dish and take the leftover warning too seriously. This is an old chain bistro like building with many booths centered around an open bar like area/ sushi prep. Apps did arrive first and entree plates soon after. These sushi rolls were very good. Dark Knight roll was my favorite thus far. Only thing is, everyone must be hungry otherwise you won't get your monies worth. I will not take my child again. I had this on my Places to visit. I visited and then that will be it. Maybe one day when they get everything in order I'll return. First off the tip of the spear (Host) needs Guest Service Training. It was ok that they didn't have many of the products pictured on their menu cover. They also served the Nigiri without Wasabi and ginger. I guess the server forgot to bring those items. I eventually got em. The server was Ok, polite. The rice was done very well, the vinegar and cook was balanced, texture and acidity with a hint of sweetness. The rice and the salmon was the best for me. I didn't bother asking about real Wasabi nor packaged real Wasabi. They came highly recommended, I figure I was duped. Lesson learned. Menu Knowledge on all fronts needs improvement or getting someone that has questions to the right person seems to be a thing to be trained.... The restaurant is beautiful, clean and tucked away in a nice foliage-filled enclosure on a busy thoroughfare. Parking is copious and is apart of a strip mall. Beautiful and well maintained building. Everything else was excellent, my favorite thing of the night which I thought was part of the all you can eat, but wasn't, was the fried avocado stuffed with seafood. That was truly amazing, never had a fried avocado before, I'm wanting one right now! All the sushi that we tasted, we estimated we stayed there over one and a half to two hours, taking our time on our anniversary weekend. The price is well worth it, it takes a little while to get your sushi, but with so many people there, be prepared to wait a little bit and order appetizers all you can eat while you wait. Every time we eat here the sushi is good but everything else on the menu is cheap quality. We come back for the sushi. One night a table of 6 of us had a server follow us out the door hollering about how much of a tip we'd left her, however we all tipped her well. It was just in combinations of card tips and cash. (So we're thinking maybe she jumped to conclusions before realizing what all she had.) However she was very unprofessional & we try to avoid her every time we go. The inside of the restaurant was pretty nice. Dinner/weekend prices are now 22.99. Which is a pretty decent price compared to what we have around Atlanta. Service was friendly, but not very well thought out. No plates were offered and the wasabi/ginger was on the same plate. They do charge for wastage, but as long as not too much is left on your plate you should be fine. Enjoyed the Southern Alabama roll and the see wee roll. The beef yakisoba was way too tough to finish unfortunately. For some of the sushi I had it felt a little too starchy. Overall somewhere between a three and a four for me. read more

I understand they have the "all you can eat" but if that means you're just feeding people rice with a sprinkle of what you're actually wanting to eat then just do away with it. The service was terrible. I'm guessing they purposefully make you wait hoping that you'll either eat as little as possible or that you'll just get tired of waiting and leave. We were greeted by the same wonderful food server that took care of us previously, Hannah. Her personality is relaxing and welcoming. We talked about the specials and began to order our feast. Everything was as it should be: fresh, crisp, colorful, hot and some served cold. Hanna continued to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. This was my date night with my youngest daughter. We so enjoy the food and service. Thanks to Hanna and let's remember to support our local businesses. Don't be too conservative when tipping these college kids. Most are trying very hard (Hanna has a major exam in May) and would appreciate a bump of a saw-buck. About $24 for the all you can eat dinner which is amazing for sushi which is typically $15 a roll for special rolls at anywhere else. I also got the masago nigiri, the shrimp hibachi, and the red bean ice cream. No complaints on any of them.
