Had lunch here for the first time yesterday. Keep in mind this is express Hibachi so if you are looking for an intimate dinner environment its probably not going to fit the bill. However, if you want to get a quick or casual bite this place is pretty on point. There are a number of express Hibachi places here in Fayetteville and Sakura Grill on Owen Dr. is probably the top runner for quality of product and service. The service- very personable. The cashier relays everything that the menu item contains so you can make adjustments as needed when ordering. Being friendly and knowledgeable is always a good thing. The staff came around and cleared plates off the table for us which was not necessary but appreciated. Ambience- pretty standard for the type of restaurant. Very clean and open. Food- Portions are very good size on the Hibachi plates. The taste is very good, however my only drawback was that the glaze was a little thicker than I like but that is a matter of personal preference. The shrimp on the Hibachi plates are a very good size. There are two types of sushi rolls, I got the California roll, it was good. I ordered a 6 piece wing (lemon pepper), the wings were on the smaller side but they were cooked and seasoned very well. Perceived value was met and then exceeded by the excellent service. My mom has raved about this place so we went together and dined in. The staff was friendly, helpful, and the restaurant was very clean. We got the mix of meats in hibachi style. I really liked the taste of the steak which I rarely order in Japanese restaurants. The sweet tea was good. Big and spacious inside. Food is pretty decent. There is a small wait to get your order. Rice is a bit greasy though and so are the veggies and meat. Everything comes with a layer of grease. If you are not regular, you will be soon. Drinks only come in one size. They have very good sauce though and friendly service. The facilities are clean and well-kept. read more

Food portion is good. Ate there 2 times in one week and will probably come back if I'm staying in the area. The fried rice could use more ingredients like; eggs, pease, onions., etc .. If I had to choose between Sakura and Panda Express, I will choose Panda Express. read more

The food here is so good! As I write this review, I have my fork in one hand and my phone in the other. I decided to stop by while at work since I was in the mood for hibachi. The location is great, right by the hospital. The building is attached to subway and beside Walgreens. The layout is super spacious and the booths are very large/comfy. The place was really clean on the inside. I got the hibachi chicken and shrimp. The entree came with broccoli and vegetables. As far as the white sauce, you get a complimentary 2oz cup of sauce. If you want extra white sauce, it's .25 cents/per cup. The hibachi chicken tasted great and melted in my mouth! I got a very large portion for a dine in plate. I hope I'm in the area again soon so I can stop again, it's worth it!! read more

Not impressed at all. My wife and I went for dinner last week. I ordered the hibachi shrimp meal and she ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl to eat in the restaurant . We also ordered a California roll to share. Our food came out in "to go" plates and my order was wrong (they gave me shrimp & steak). My wife's chicken was completely smothered in teriyaki sauce (which was overpowering) and the actual chicken meat was dried out-bleh. I decided to eat the California roll while waiting for my food to be fixed and became even more disappointed. These were the saddest looking California rolls I've ever seen! Mostly rice and the smallest piece of crab stick. The pictures I've post doesn't do it justice. The young lady in the front was nice, but that's about it..Never again. read more

We went here a couple months ago and absolutely loved it. I've tried to get back several times and just couldn't. Finally, tonight, we went back. It was almost $22 for two hibachi steak meals. You now need to pay $0.50 for mushrooms (they are not included) and a water cup is $0.35. A sauce is $0.25. All of that, while irritating and feeling overpriced, I can deal with. What was really disappointing was having the food delivered and ... it's not what it should be. Steak was delicious, so were the mushrooms. The rice has changed, it is not fried rice but now white rice with egg and onion in it. The absolute worst part, a complete travesty ... instead of zucchini and onions they served sliced carrots from a CAN. Whoever heard of serving CANNED CARROTS with hibachi steak? This was very disappointing. We will not be going back. If you plan to make such drastic changes to the menu, and do not have those changes posted, the least you can do is tell me before I paid $22 and waited for it to be prepared. Very, very disappointing. The stars were given for the steak and mushrooms. It would've been 5 stars without all the other issues. Oh! Forgot to add - I had my young children with me and while their TVs were nice, watching drug deals and gun fights while eating with my young children was also not something I'd have preferred. read more

I've seen this place in passing many times, and I always see the sign that says sushi on the window, so I finally broke down to give it a shot for a quick meal to take back to work. Sadly, they only have two sushi items on the menu: a California roll and a crab roll. The rest of the menu was either some form of teriyaki chicken, shrimp, or steak, or a hibachi version of same. I tried the teriyaki chicken and since I came for sushi, I tried a crab roll, fully expecting imitation krab at this point. Pros and cons. Many more cons: the crab roll had only avacodo and cucumber wrapped in soggy rice. Not even an attempt to put krab or crab in there. The chicken was dry and had hard 'tendony' spots in it that were chewy. Also, it took about 12 minutes to prepare a meal that tasted like everything was already premade, but I was te only customer in the place. Pros: the front lady was nice. I guess. The serving of rice was large. And the zucchini was well prepared. But given that I've already tried half the sushi menu there, and the problems with chicken, I don't think I can go back there. A good side vegi is not enough to maintain my patronage. read more

Tried this one for the first time tonight. My wife placed and order for a chicken entree and a shrimp and steak entree to go. When we opened it at home it was a Chicken and a chicken and shrimp. That we could have lived with if it was good, no such luck. The chicken in both was extremely dry and tasteless as was the rice. Both tasted like they had been cooked that morning. We each ate a few bites and dropped it in the trashcan. This one will have a very hard time surviving if not greatly improved since their are 2 more within a 1/2 mile..It is very close to the house and was hoping it would be a good place. I, wanted to try their wings but if the main thing they offer is prepared so poorly I don't think i'll bother trying the wings. Wish them luck , hopefully they will pay more attention to the quality of what they are putting out. Doubt we will be trying it again. read more
