I was just here a few weeks back and this place is a solid 4 stars for me because it is one of the more inexpensive buffets out there that offers decent quality sushi in my opinion. Their lunch price is also great and I can enjoy their unlimited sushi. I normally only go for the salmon sashimi and nigiri. This is a good lunch option from where I live as well. For a buffet, this one is pretty good for the price point. Nice selection of foods. I stuck with cooked sushi, I avoided the raw items. Some items are better than others. I think it depends on timing, some of the items didn't seem fresh (eg the whole shrimp was very dry, either overcooked or recooked). The dinner buffet includes lobster. Honestly I thought the sushi was pretty good. The white fish sashimi was the star of the buffet. Good diversity of options, but the sushi, sashimi, and seafood are really where it's at. They also had mu er, which I was pleasantly surprised by. Food items were all fresh. Service was professional and efficient. We went during weekday lunch- it was busier than we thought it would be, so clearly they must be doing something right here. Lunch prices are very good considering they offer sashimi and sushi. I would definitely recommend this place. Many food options and the server I had was very attentive. The only issue were some of the fried food were harden and the drinks options but that's not a big deal and I can drink my water with lemon. The lobster is always overcooked which makes it very tough!! I went there another time, same crap, overcooked lobster. They need to either retrain their cooks or get some new cooks. They have all types of sushi and sashimi, as well as a nice selection of soups, lo mein, chicken, French Fries, desserts, almost everything you could think of. The sushi chefs keep the sushi flowing, and the atmosphere is very pretty. It's a great option for families with choosy kids. Sakura has become the go-to buffet when visiting family in that area and everyone has a different food craving. Sakura offers a variety of food from shellfish, baked fish, fried fish, sushi, sashimi, cold salads, chinese food, american food, fried foods, steamed foods, soups, lobster claws, pig feet, chicken feet, wontons, dumplings shumai and salads etc... so if you have a group that can't agree on a specific cuisine, Sakura may be a solid option to satisfy the whole group. We have been here a few times and I have not really experienced any dishes that have been sitting for long. Of course, we do NOT go at the end of the day to finish the scraps. They are constantly refreshing the supply during busy times. The meats are usually tender. The mayonaise shrimp is delicious. The sushi is the best buffet sushi i have experienced. If you are expecting gourmet chef cooked meals this may not be for you, its a buffet. The basic packaged ice cream selections are the best of the dessert section. The pastries are boxed and usually mediocre at best. The staff works hard and is always on top of cleaning your table and filling your drinks. The make an effort to make a dessert plate with a candle for birthday celebrations. We've got some picky eaters in our group, and this tends to satisfy most given the variety. There's authentic Chinese, American, Americanized Chinese, Sushi, and a lot of Seafood. The food itself really is a hit or miss. - The sushi is mediocre at best (the salmon is good sometimes), but satisfies the craving. - A few brave souls in my group tried the oysters and reported back that it was pretty good. - The roasted duck is overly sweet. - The chicken and broccoli, eggplant, string beans are equivalent or a bit above takeout standard. - The red bean rice dumplings was over mushy - Bone in fish was rich (on the fattier side) and delicious - Lobster was decent (compared to what you'd get outside) Overall, this place is just meh, but it's unique enough that there's no other buffet around like it. Very much enjoyed the lunch buffet on a Friday ! Very clean and sanitized inside. Also friendly and helpful staff. To eat form the buffet you just wear a mask and gloves (gloves provided). It literally smelled like they just cleaned which is a plus. Food was tasty for the most part. Most things that I find as my favorite in other places like the cream cheese fried wontons and chicken and broccoli were lacking a bit here. But I can understand since not much people coming, food just sits out. Their sushi on the other hand, great fresh flavor and it melted like butter. The first thing I noticed was that this place is very spacious and kept clean - staff was always present to maintain the appearance of this restaurant. The service provided was good and the staff there were attentive - keeping a close eye on which items are running low or if anyone is in need of something. The food is organized and clearly marked so you're aware of what you're selecting.The options include the classic Japanese, Chinese and American dishes and what you traditionally find at most buffets: sushi, sashimi, seafood, noodles, meat, fruit, ice cream, etc. The food here may satisfy some people's cravings; however, it didn't satisfy mines. Although it wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked, everything I ate was fresh. I would skip the sushi, which ranged from dry and flavorless to average. I do appreciate that they serve sashimi. They charge a fee if you leave too much on your plate. What I would recommend is the seafood section. There is crab, lobster and crawfish in various sauces. My review is specifically about the spicy crawfish boil -- the sauce was spicy and kept making me go back for more. They also had salt and pepper fried shrimp with heads. My sister and I came here randomly for dinner. What a disappointment. First off, the place is dingy and dark. We had fruit flies flying around our table. We asked to be moved, this wasn't any better as the table was wobbly and sticky. Food was horrible. The variety was skim, food had no taste, a lot of the food was old. Service was not so great either. Anytime my sister and I stopped picking at our food to talk the waitress would come over and try to take our plates. The best thing out of the meal was our water! I ordered delivery from this restaurant (thanks Yelp!) for dinner. I got chicken and shrimp teriyaki with white rice and fried calamari. The order was placed through GrubHub via Yelp and when I checked my email, I was upcharged $3 for wanting half chicken, half shrimp for my entree. I didn't bother making a fuss since the order was already placed. On a scale of 1 to 10, my food was a 3. My chicken and shrimp teriyaki tasted nothing like teriyaki. The sauce that it was in was watery and had an odd taste to it. As per the menu online, chicken teriyaki meal comes with veggies, rice, and miso soup. My "veggies" were four pieces of broccoli. I never received my miso soup and had to call the restaurant and was refunded a mere $1.50. The fried calamari was not crispy like fried calamari normally is. The pieces were extremely chewy. The restaurant sent me an orange sauce which I dipped the calamari in, which made it taste a little better but not great. Overall, my entire experience was trash. I will never order delivery from this place again. Maybe I will go in person and try their buffet. read more

Great new buffet! Stopped by on a Friday night and used a dinner for 2 Living Social/Groupon deal only $30.40 for 2. Great savings since it's normally about $25 pp We were greeted and seated quickly without a wait. I really like the restaurants interior it has a nice authentic Japanese theme. All employees were very friendly and on top of the service. We never waited for drink refills, or plates to be cleared. Even brought me shell crackers for my crab legs and wet naps to wipe my hands. Nice variety of selections from sushi, dim sum, soups, salads, raw bar, Chinese dishes, and a nice dessert selection as well. I enjoyed all of the sushi I sampled and loved the large plump shrimp cocktail and crab legs. The steak, and salmon were excellent as well as the coconut shrimp and string beans. Everything I sampled was quite tasty and we both enjoyed everything. My 1 star deduction is only because some of the sushi selections weren't refilled and some of the hot foods were on the cool side... but that was the only thing. Ok I don't like to be harsh. But I truly did not enjoy this buffet, granted I am not a big seafood person but my husband is and he did not enjoy it at all. There really isn't all that much food compared to many buffets I've been to. The sushi was one thing I did enjoy and I can appreciate that, if I went during lunch for the $15.95 maybe it would've been worth it for endless sushi. They are currently having a special for dinner and weekend for 23.95 but will make it regular price at 26.95. I 100% will not be returning, because I still don't think I got my money's worth. The dessert side was sad, I was hoping since it was a Japanese spot it would have something matcha but they had some fruit, including canned peaches and one type of biscuit, one type of small square cake and one small chocolate mousse of some sort. Compared to other sushi buffets around the area, this one, tastewise, was about the same. There were plenty of different variety of sushi to pick from but they all pretty much tasted the same. I was surprised to see that they served crab during lunch hours. Typical buffets only serve that during dinner. The Chinese dish selection was also good, which I thought tasted better than the sushi. They also had salmon tartar, and other small dishes that I've never seen at buffets. Money mailer offered a coupon, which we took advantage of. Decor was super nice with succulents inside light bulbs hanging from the walls. It looks like they had a party room with possibly a karaoke machine? Not definite on the karaoke machine, but when I walked past the room, the tv screen had karaoke playing... It definitely is a must try if you haven't been. But I'd give it a bit more time to perfect it's dishes as it only recently opened. read more
