I've lost count of how many times I have been to Ramen Nagomi because it really is that good! I would've reviewed it sooner, but every time the food arrives, we're so excited to dig in that we forget to take pictures--in this case, the phone definitely does not eat first! This is easily one of the best ramen spots I've ever tried. They offer a great variety of broths, ranging from clear to creamy and spicy. My personal favorite is the Spicy Miso Ramen; it's the perfect balance of richness and heat, accompanied by incredibly tender pieces of slow-braised pork belly. I also love that you can fully customize your bowl with different toppings to make it exactly to your taste. You also cannot skip their appetizers. This time we ordered the Rock Shrimp Tempura, which was fried to perfection without overcooking the shrimp, and the sauces were the perfect addition. You also need to try their Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, the Bao Buns, and my absolute favorite: the Ika Geso Karaage, which comes with the most delicious mayo dipping sauce. The cozy ambiance perfectly complements the food, and the service is always attentive. It's a BYOB spot, which is a nice touch, and they'll provide glasses upon request. My go-to ramen spot I loveee their vegan ramens so much Grabbed a bite here before going to the see the Cinderella ballet around the corner and it totally hit the spot on a gloomy Saturday evening. I've actually never been to this location but the staff was so nice and accommodating (we were running late for the ballet ) and made sure to get us in and out asap. Seating is limited so I'd recommend signing up for the waitlist online ahead of time I did try the vegan curry ramen which I've never had before and it was good although I'll stick with my usual next time. I've gone here many times over the years and I recently ate here in May with a small group of friends. They have a good selection of Ramen and some great options for vegan/vegetarians. But my absolute favorite are the sesame tofu bao buns. Those are more of a newer item, but it's my favorite thing to order lately. We sometimes order through DoorDash if we don't feel like dining in. We did pay a bit more with delivery, but it will save you time from finding parking around Bayard Street. If you're dining in with another person or a small group, you'll have to put your name on the waitlist. They will not seat you until all of your party is there. So just let your friends know so they're aware! I really wanted to try the Matcha ice cream, but they only allow you to enjoy it for dine in not carry out. Food here is really solid. We ordered chicken karaage for appetizer, it was yum. Crunchy outside, juicy inside, with a tasty dipping sauce. Main course we each ordered ramen, my lady got the Tonkotsu, and I got the Spicy Miso. Both of them were very flavorful, great taste, and great noodle texture. If you don't like too much spicy but want to try it, you can ask for it to be mild or just a bit spicy. Now if you're not into spicy at all, my husband gets the burnt garlic and loves it. I've been to the Freehold location a number of times, and it's always great. I was in New Brunswick for work and decided to try out this location. It didn't disappoint. I put myself on the electronic waitlist, and it said I could expect to wait 11-29 minutes. In less than 5 minutes, a worker had come over to evaluate the waitlist. He determined that they could squeeze me in ahead of some other bigger parties. It would have been pretty easy to let me sit there and wait. My server (Chris, I think) was attentive and incredibly polite. It came up that I was a teacher, and he showed more appreciation for what I do than many of the kids I actually teach. The food was just as solid as the Freehold location always is. Yet to have a Bao that I didn't enjoy. Forgot to ask for no mushrooms in my Ramen, and it was still very good to me (despite not liking mushrooms). Great place, great visit. read more

The location is convenient and using yelp waitlist is also helpful to minimize in person waiting time - but for the amount of demand it would be helpful to have additional seating and/or a proper waiting area. Service was friendly, prompt and helpful - which is good because turnover was quick. It's a perfect spot to grab a bite, would've loved to linger and enjoy more items off the menu but we were headed to comedy show at stress factory so we relatively quickly. Phenomenal ramen. I'm very particular about the charshu. I like when it is tender and marinated, and Ramen Nagomi hits the mark. Not only is their broth rich with flavor, their charshu is some of the best I've ever had. They also give a whole egg, not just a cut half, which a nice surprise. The atmosphere is great and the servers were attentive and friendly. $1.50 for soda is virtually unheard of... especially in New Jersey. It is nice to have fair prices at such a great ramen shop. They lost a bit of crispness to them. But that's expected, esp with take out. The flavor was there. The octopus was nice and the texture was great. Chicken had good flavor and was still moist and juicy. The Tori Paitan Ramen was an absolute delite! I didn't know what to expect. To start there's no parking lot so you need to hunt for metered parking lot or there's a lot across the street. Ramen is tasty and serving is quite generous. Izzie or Izzy, was incredibly friendly and service was fast & efficient! I decided on the spicy miso ramen, & my fiance ordered the tonkatsu ramen. The toppings on both looked to be the same (don't forget to request the egg!). Our broths were ever so slighly different, but I didn't taste too much of the miso - just more of the spice, which wasn't too spicy. Noodles were perfectly cooked for my liking - just under al dente, so after a minute or two in the hot broth, it reached the perfect chewiness. I will usually add chili oil to the broth to make it a bit more spicy. Inside is nice and clean. Servers were very friendly and attentive.
