I can't believe that despite being a client of Sakura's for years I've been remiss in writing a review. A friend from work who has luminescent skin had originally recommended her to me. I love that she takes the guesswork out and I'm able to simply schedule the works facial and she applies the product that my skin needs and I don't need to agonize on picking the right one from a spa menu. I came across Sakura while listening to radio 1150 KKNW. I then became more familiar with her by listening to her show Love From The Hyp. After several shows and learning her story I decided to book two appointments, one for a facial and one for energy work. There's no turning back from here. It has been several weeks now since I saw Sakura for a facial, and my face is so baby smooth and like new. I have never felt my shin this wonderful weeks after! I did the dermaplane for the first time ever, and Sakura explained and showed me the dead skin (ugh...) so I knew exactly what she was doing. Sakura is extremely knowledgeable and educated me about my aging skin and how to help myself best. She is an expert and knows how to help people help themselves. The bed is heavenly and the spa so soothing with a beautiful energy. She used a singing bowl also to harmonize the whole body, the vibration is amazing. Sakura massaged my hands and i had mittens on to soften them, oh it was a lot more than a facial. I felt like I had been there far longer than an hour as it is such a full experience. Sakura is the sweetest person and takes such good care of everything in a manner that is so a beautiful and gentle. I did not want to leave and next time I will book few treatments back-to-back to have a full spa day with her!! Truly delightful experience. And she didn't try to force sell anything and didn't push for all the products she has available; she is very much about educating and giving samples to see if you like it. Very novel idea that more people could follow. As now I want to get the products from her as it is my idea, and I wasn't force fed it like a lot of spas. I will be back soon!! I have been seeing Sakura for several years and she is fantastic! I get the dermaplane treatment and the brow wax and I swear my skin is so much clearer and my wrinkles are minimized. She's also wonderful with my son who has autism. She's very patient with him, and easily adapts his sessions on how long he is willing to lie still. She gave him a mirror for one of his facials which gave her enough time to complete his treatment. He especially LOVES the scalp massages and looks forward to his appointments. I am a professional performer. My skin takes a severe beating, so, facials are part of my monthly routine. I have been to numerous salons and spas for facials, but can honestly say the experience I had with Sakura was different and amazing! I was instantly put at ease, offered water, and made to relax. It smells lovely in there! The entire facial took about an hour. Sakura guided me through meditation, totally calming me down and helping me to get much needed rest. After, my skin was radiant and I felt beautiful. Let's face it ladies, we pretend to feel stunningly gorgeous all of the time, but we all have our days. I have gone to Sakura Skin and Mind for a few things-- I have previously received a facial from Sakura and this week I came in for my first Hypnotherapy session. I am very new to hypnotherapy; however, I am well aquatinted with meditation and other spiritual elements. The hypnotherapy session was by far one of the best experiences I have had.  I walked in feeling a little anxious and nervous; a little unsure of what to expect. Sakura was instantly able to ease my mind and explain the entire session so that I would be able to be comfortable and at ease throughout the 1 hour session. She explained that it would be just like we were having a conversation. This "conversation" is one I will never forget -- As she guided me through this session, she supported me by listening intently to my words both spoken and unspoken. I felt like a new person after the hour ended. I felt energized and ready to start being the person that I wanted. I will most defiantly be back.  The facial also was one of the best I have had. I didn't want it to end! Before she began, she looked at my skin under a light to determine specifically what my skin needed. I am not the nicest to my skin, nor am I very knowledgeable on what I should be doing for it! I so appreciated her knowledge and expertise as she gave me my facial! Well worth the drive - this is honestly the best facial I have ever had. I am used to Hollywood facial pampering, and this far exceeded anything I've had in the past. Sakura has an amazingly gentle personality, which is evident upon entering this skincare environment. I was greeted and brought into the facial room, where I was given a robe to slip into, and then a perfectly cozy, warm bed as a retreat from the cold winter weather outside. She first did a moisture mask on my hands, and wrapped them in warm heated, weighted bags, then assessed my face's needs, and recommended several solutions to my dry winter skin. I told her to work her magic and do whatever she deemed necessary. She even suggested some cosmetic tings (eyelash tinting!) just for fun. 2 magical and relaxing hours later, after having my neck, head, arms, hands and face massaged, hydrated & relieved, I emerged from the facial room rejuvenated and gorgeous (to toot Sakura's horn, not mine). The eyelash tint was a fun bonus, and the nuface microcurrent (which I'd never done before) instantly and visibly lifted my complexion. I cannot wait to go back to see her, and treat myself and my skin the way it deserves on a regular basis! (the ample free street parking was also a bonus, considering I'm used to inner city parking prices). Definitely worth it!!! read more

I was given a gift for a facial for my birthday from a friend. I must say that this was an excellent facial. I LOVED it. This place was so relaxing and the owner Sakura was very nice an especially accommodating. The business is located inside a house that has other wellness businesses in it. Sakura is located upstairs. When I came in, she met me on the main floor and before we went upstairs, she offered me some hot tea. We went upstairs and there was a nice waiting area. We went into the treatment room and it was inviting and tastefully decorated. The room was comfortable and welcoming, naturally lit. The music was calming and nice - perfect for relaxation (which is exactly what I wanted!). Sakura provided a soft natural cotton waffle pattern gown that secured under the arms (like wrapping yourself in a towel when you get out of the shower). The bed was set to conform to a comfortable, natural position. It felt very cozy and warm with the cover and cotton sheets. When she came back in the room, she rubbed moisturizer on my hands and then wrapped them inside these warm pockets (I don't know what they looked like because my eyes were already closed and ready to relax - but whatever they were they were comfortable). Then came the facial. She examined my skin under a light and determined what the best treatment for my skin was (which I like because honestly I am no expert on what my skin needs). All I can say is that there were heated towels, steam, various applications of moisturizers cleaners and exfoliators. She also did a big job of extraction (I have larger pores so blackheads find homes on my face readily). She pleasantly and much more tactfully called it "congestion" She also applied a vitamin c acid to aid in reducing the large pore appearance. She massaged my face and neck so nicely and thoroughly - it was very relaxing. She massaged all the way around my neck and then asked me to breathe in - I could smell a nice energizing eucalyptus scent. There was a scalp massage - ahhh! There was even an arm and hand massage. All I can say it was the most thorough facial I have ever had. After all of that, she asked if I wanted to do my brows. I look at them now and I think it was the best brow wax ever! They look so much better. The best part is that I took a picture before so that I could see the difference after the facial. However, I didn't even need to before picture. I could tell the difference without it. My husband said I looked 'radiant'. All I can say is that Sakura gave me the best facial I have ever had and I will definitely be returning and referring my friends here. I bought a gift certificate for another friend while I was there because I know that they will simply love getting this pampered treatment as a gift. read more

Oh. Em. Gee. Boy oh boy do I recommend Sakura. I had the privilege of getting hypnotherapy done by her and it was life changing. I am a huge proponent of therapy in general but hypnotherapy by Sakura was the best thing I coud have done for myself. I had blocks in my life and hated every aspect of my life but couldn't figure out why. Sakura gently and lovingly guided me into my subconscious and gave me a safe comfortable atmosphere to search and find the answers within me. The results were absolutely shocking. Sakura is the best, reasonably priced and the only place I can go where I know my sensitive skin will get the best care. I can visibly see the difference that Sakura's treatment makes on my skin, after she left to start her Skin Shoppe, for the next year my skin became more and more irritated as I continued getting facials from another practitioner.
