I love coming to this restaurant. My fiancé and I went too grab dinner here and they greeted us and sat us on a private booth that has its own doors for privacy. Our server was Lily and she was very attentive and kind. We ordered crab Rangoons, the dirty old man sushi and one order of The Sakura fried rice. All of it was delicious. I came here around 9pm on Friday night and it didn't look too busy but they do have booths with your option to close the door so you can have privacy in your meal. The associate that took my order was super sweet and gave me the menu so I can see what I am going to order out. I bought a shrimp fried rice and an order of the sushi called dirty old grandpa. The fried rice was delicious but I didn't like the shrimp taste too much. The sushi was soo yummy but when I ordered it I made sure to remove the jalapeño. The order was ready was 15 mins. Sakura Sushi has been one of my long time favorite sushi spots here in Coral Springs. Small spot but what I like the most is the private booths. They have about four of those. You may feel is private but walls are paper thin and you can hear entire conversations coming from the other booths. LOL very amusing I may add. My usual order is the Tuna Tataki and Shrimp Tempura roll can't go wrong with those and side of eel sauce. The Vegetable Udon noodles are really good too. I come here once a month to catch up with my friend who lives in the area, and whenever we try to go somewhere new, it just doesn't happen. We love Sakura for their food and atmosphere. They have booths with doors so you can talk all you want without worrying about bothering your neighbors. What a lunch!! My daughter and I drove out here because of the great review, and it was totally worth the drive. Theres plenty of parking in front, so that was pretty easy. We were kindly greeted as we entered. There's a large sushi bar as well as booths with sliding doors that allow for some privacy. The latter is super unique. The menu has lots of Japanese favorites. I was especially pleased that the lunch specials are available on Saturdays, and they come with miso soup and a nice fresh salad. My daughter and I settled on three rolls to share: spicy tuna, volcano, and spider. The rolls did not disappoint! They were super fresh and sizable. Quite delicious and well made. I drove by this place the other day on way to work and am always up for new dining experiences. The decor is so authentic and different from other sushi establishments I've frequented. The booths have a private divider that provides an intimate dining adventure. They have a great lunch deal with many choices that come with miso soup and salad. Very reasonably priced and fresh. Had not tried it in about nine (9) years until the other night. Entering a man very casually dressed sitting in a chair at front door asked "picking up?" We weren't (picking up). Sat ourselves. I heard someone behind say hello twice and when I snapped my head around I realized it was the person who'd be serving. Toro is a favorite of mine so I was delighted to order it as an appetizer. It took awhile to come out of the kitchen and after three (3) bites I was convinced this particular version of toro is the worst I've encountered. I stopped eating it hoping the sashimi would be far better. When the sashimi was brought out I noticed the server put her hands on my chopsticks- the ones I tried to eat toro with- and moved said chopsticks closer to me. Seeing that, I wanted a "fresh" set of chopsticks so didn't start eating with the old chopsticks. This place has private dining booths with closing doors and around this time I noticed an employee peering out from a booth where she was eating soup then shut the door then peer out again. I stood up by sushi bar closer to kitchen hoping to find chopsticks, then noticed my server peer out from another booth with a door and I also noticed the casually dressed man holding a tray and he was only wearing t-shirt, shorts and flip-flops to work in this restaurant on a Saturday. Sure seemed inappropriate. My server, after I told her I wanted new chopsticks, pointed to a place setting and told me to take a set of chopsticks from there so I did. Finally, ready to eat the sashimi which was served in a beautiful boat I remember being disappointed to see more than 60% Rolls on my boat when I had actually ordered all sashimi. A few bites in I didn't care for mine very much. I won't return and honestly left feeling like I had squandered money. Disappointed to say the least. read more

Rainbow roll, miso and salad. Not a bad deal for $16. Miso was typical and so was the "salad". Iceberg lettuce with ginger dressing, nothing special. When the sushi roll arrived I just looked at it in disbelief. The thinnest cuts of the tuna, salmon and white fish I'd ever seen. The tiny slivers of avocado just wrapped in a bunch of rice. Rice was super cold and old. The tuna was the brightest color of red I'd ever seen. It even colored the rice. No flavor whatsoever. I had to drench the whole thing in soy sauce. I would say I had the sweetest woman taking care of me, that's my one star. The restaurant gets zero stars. STAY CLEAR. Do NOT RECOMMEND. read more

We came here thinking it was Sakura Ramen but it was late so we decided to stay. We enjoyed everything we had, which was the pan-fried gyoza, clear soup, ginger salad, teriyaki scallops, and chicken Pad Thai. The scallops were pricey for only six of them plus rice and vegetables. The Pad Thai is quite tasty but I like a spicy Pad Thai so I got a side of Sriracha to mix in which was great. The service was friendly and the food arrived quickly. Sakura Sushi has been a pillar stone of the original restaurants of Coral Springs. Kind of looking to shake up the normal routine, I decided to give Sakura Sushi a go. Going inside, the booths were filled, but we were able to be seated rather quickly at the tables. For dinner, we ordered 1x rainbow roll and 1x vegetable udon noodle. Going into my review, the food and services were pretty good! The udon noodle was a great bang for your buck as it came with both a soup and salad! The udon noodle had nice textures and came in a sweet n savory sauce; although tasty, it could've used more veg. The rainbow roll was simple yet tasty as it possessed fresh fish and flavor! Not sure what's up here, but I've never had a piece of sushi grade tuna this neon pink before. I called the restaurant and asked what's up with the tuna. Q: Why is the tuna this color? A:" because it's near the berries. Q: what do you mean it's near the berries? Why are you keeping raw fish next to produce? A: no it's fresh too, but it's next to berries. Next time you call I give you fresh piece" Wtf does that mean why is raw fish being kept next to berries? Why is the color of the berries rubbing off on the tuna? And what do you mean a fresh piece? The staff was very nice and very attentive, we came around lunch time and my husband got the pad thai which was so flavorful. Has to be one of the top 5 pad thai's I have eaten. Sakura sushi is a wonderful addition to the Coconut Creek/Margate area. The previous restaurant was so good. I was skeptical to go here at first, but glad my husband twisted my arm. The sushi is absolutely fresh and delicious and they make their rolls with not a lot of rice so you really feel like you're eating and tasting the fish; the restaurant is clean and comfy great for both date night and grabbing dinner with the guy you've been married to for 30 years. Their servers are loyal plus they are always checking in on you, even if you're in their private rooms. Also, their private rooms are the best part about this place! We had an excellent lunch here the other day. Shout out to Mia R as after reading her intriguing review, I just had to come here. Never having been to a place with private dining booths, I was curious. When we came in we were directed to the side of the restaurant. The gal slid back the wooden partition covering the booth so we could go inside. Too cool! Their menu is huge with a lot of choices -- even a few Thai dishes -- that it wasn't easy to choose. So many items sounded appealing. I started with their avocado krab salad. This was a very large salad topped with with nice chunks of krab, a lot of thinly sliced ripe avocado on top of carrots, cabbage, and iceberg lettuce. A dish of carrotty ginger dressing was served on the side. This could have been my meal in and of itself. After my salad, I tried their Mexican roll. This, too, was very good. The tempura shrimp was the star. The outside rice was sprinkled with black and regular sesame seeds for a pretty presentation. My husband got their harusame salad. Not many places have this. A large portion of crispy noodles mixed with bean sprouts and a bit of salad along with sriracha. It's slightly spicy -- enough to give it personality. He really liked his salad. He also got a couple pieces of salmon sashimi. Two pretty thick pieces that were as tender as "buttah". Yum. It's a small restaurant with a talented chef. I can see them being quite busy on weekends. A sushi spot in Coral Springs that has very private booths. Like private with sliding doors/partitions to give the ultimate intimate setting. I came here with my good friends for that weird in between lunch and dinner time and we were the only ones there. This restaurant gave me flashbacks to my first job working at a sushi spot in Pines (I miss you Wasabi!) and I absolutely loved the nostalgia. It gives off the ultimate mom and pop shop vibes and my friend who lives in the area said it's been there forever. In fact, the last time she thinks she came was in 2007 which was 15 years ago... Happy this spot has survived all these years because the food was so gooooood. I love South FL sushi spots like this and I'd probably drive out to get a specialty roll from here if I was craving it enough. They have an abundance to choose from with a variety of names that shout out all parts of Florida like the UCF roll (Go Knights!), Gators roll, NBA final roll, and more! Among the three of us we shared the Seminole roll, Gators roll, Dancing Eel roll and the dynamite appetizer. You can guarantee that every time I visit a sushi spot, I'll try the dynamite appetizer because I am on the endless search for one that will be as great as the one from my old job. I'm still searching... The dynamite appetizer was good but a little on the small side. I think if it came on a bed of rice, it would have added to it but nonetheless, still good! Nicely presented as it came on a shell. The rolls were ones to remember! Our favorite was the Seminole roll which came with tempura fish on top. These rolls are HUGE and I truly believe you have to eat sushi in one bite to get the full experience of all the flavors but this was a challenge with these rolls. I might ask and see if they can slice them thinner next visit. The ambiance of the place is the classic small sushi joint. I really did love the privacy the booths and partitions offered. They have great portions and provide awesome service. They took the time to label each entree in our large to-go order... which in my experience has been extremely rare lately. My order: Strawberry mambo roll - Tempura crab meat, cream cheese, avocado, cucumber top with strawberry, tempura flake, spicy mayo and eel sauce. Solid roll, I had never tried anything like this before. The sweet contrast from the strawberry is very interesting. 4.5/5 ( $17.95) Kamikaze roll - Tuna, avocado, topped with spicy Seafood Dynamite. YES! This was my favorite roll. It's packed with flavor I love the seafood dynamite topping. Nice little spicy kick too. 5/5 ($14.95) Sakura - Shrimp, conch, crab, asparagus, scallions, topped with teriyaki sauce and sesame. This was good too. All the seafood tasted very fresh. 4.5/5 ($14.95) I also tried their fried gyoza which for whatever reason, taste better here than most places I have tried before. Had their pad thai with shrimp as well which was very good! There aren't many good options for sushi in this area. The majority of their competitors are either overpriced and/or offer very small portions. This to me is hands down, the BEST sushi place in Coral Springs. The service is a 5/5. Our server was excellent. The ambiance was awesome. I loved that they had a sliding door to where we ate, it was extremely private. It was truly a unique ambiance... Does size matter? Yes. The size of the roll matters and these were a little too big. The rice was a little dry and too chewy. I got a belly ache and upset stomach about 1 hour after eating this. It could've been due to drinking a soda with dinner, but I'm unsure. This would be a cool casual spot for a first date. There are lots of options. My husband had a birthday on Saturday and we decided to go and have some sushi for lunch. We have only eaten out twice since the pandemic and most of our to go orders are from the same handful of restaurants we trust. It was around 1:00 PM in the afternoon, so we thought it would be pretty empty and social distance it wouldn't be a problem. Once we got there however, we were bummed to discover the restaurant only offers delivery and takeout. We made lemonade out of lemons and just sat in our car and ordered to go. They told us it would be ready in 20 minutes and it was right on the dot. We got our goodies, headed home and had our feast. They have some pretty interesting choices in their menu we had a hard time deciding because everything sounds so good. In the end we got some of the more standard rolls such as rainbow roll, tuna roll, and a good 'ol salmon. But we also tried two of their more specialty ones. Mango Mambo, which was amazing, and French roll , which sounds good on paper but it's not as great. Don't get me wrong, it is good but nothing out of this world. Overall we were very pleased with everything in the order and the speed in which our food was prepared and packagey. Also be handing off the food was in keeping with social and hygienic protocols.
