    Dracula Roll

Food: 4 stars Service: 2 stars The restaurant is very small and was packed on a Friday night. The service was extremely slow -- both tables next to me received their food before I did even though we ordered way before both tables. The food is overpriced, particularly the sushi rolls. The food was flavorful, but the fish did not taste very fresh (the salmon had a slight fishy taste to it). The Sushiato Mix was fine, but I would not order it again. The Octopus Tiradito and the Octopus Olivo were both great. I also enjoyed the Dracula Roll. I was not impressed with the Gerstl Roll, especially due to the fishy taste of the salmon and the small size of the roll. If I want sushi again, I would go to other restaurants in the area.

Creative menu but the quality is mediocre at the best. Portion is pretty small too. Overall it was just ok.

Sunday 1-8PM, Monday Closed,Tuesday 12-9:30PM, Wednesday 12-9:30PM, Thursday 12-9:30PM, Friday 12-10PM, Saturday 12-10PM We saw an article that this restaurant opened up down the way from Carmela's coffee and thought we would give it a try. It appears they have a couple other "Sushiato's" in Weston and Brickell. The place is small but doable. They have a small seating bar, a long bench, almost the length of the restaurant with tables butted up. Definitely a tight squeeze to get in and out of your table. The place was packed. Not sure how long they have been opened. If I had to guess it is recent. Hard to totally review a newly opened place, because all places have to work the flow and kinks out in the beginning. They serve sake, beer, wine and specialty drinks. I had the guava roll $19 which I found the guava sauce on top a good flavor. The fish was fresh, no fishy taste thankfully. The other roll was a daisuki roll $23. It had plantains in the roll too. Surprisingly for such an elaborate roll I didn't find it to be bursting with flavor for some reason without the dipping sauce. The spicy Mayo just tasted like a bland Mayo with no spice? We also had a Yakisoba bowl with filet mignon $23. I was told the flavor was good. They have regular water and Perrier water. We had five small bottles of water at $4 a piece. The rolls are a good size. I could have had just one probably and felt full. We tried ordering three different kinds of bao rolls (chicken, pork belly, shrimp) however they ran out a couple of days ago I think she said. Allison was our waitress. She was keeping busy since the place was jammed packed. There were two servers working the floor, three people making sushi and not sure how many people in the back kitchen. People were coming In for takeout too. That made it a little more tight because for takeout you have to walk in straight to the back by squeezing through while the servers are delivering food to the tables. I'm thinking curbside pick up would help remove that challenge. The place is located in the publix shopping plaza so there is plenty of well lit parking. I think I may like to come back during the daytime when it may not be as packed. Our bill with tip came to$108 for the two rolls, ramen bowl and 5 small sparkling waters. The rolls are the price of the rolls we normally get in Miami Beach. They were filling though. They play trendy music and the decor was nice. They do have weekday happy hour specials between 3-6pm. Look at my photos, I took a picture of that menu too. They do serve lunch and bento boxes. They also have dessert, however we were to full. Fried orea, 4 leches, donuts and a Nutella dessert. They have a photo look book if you prefer to visually see what your food choice looks like. Go check it out! Enjoy!

Located in a small retail location in the Parkland Commons shopping center on University Drive, it doesn't look like much on the outside. But what lies within is some of the most artfully prepared sushi you will find in the greater Coral Springs and Western Broward areas. And as you might have guessed, it's high-end, with prices to match. It's a very tight space with seating for about 50 patrons, a modern Japanese look and feel, featuring wooden accents, hanging netted blown glass lanterns, and a sushi bar for single diners where you can watch your food being prepared if you wish. However, despite its intimate (dare I say cramped) interior, the restaurant has a huge menu featuring appetizers, salads, poke bowls, and visually striking, highly-Instagrammable sushi rolls in a rainbow of colors, incorporating tropical elements such as mango and deep-fried rice and plantains. There are also "Nikkei-style" ceviches and tiraditos, a modern style of sauced sashimi-like dishes from Peru's indigenous Japanese immigrant culture. And if you don't want the raw, they have grilled items, fried rice, and "bao" buns - steamed, fluffy Cantonese-style bread stuffed with pork belly, fried chicken, and shrimp. You can see what each dish looks like on their comprehensive website, or in their pictorial portfolio menu handed to you by your server, which is professionally photographed, just in case you were curious about their appearance before you order them. I've only had a single opportunity to eat here so far, but based on what I've had; I like it a lot. We started with a Nigiri Moriawasi ($25), which was four different slices of fish - octopus, tuna, grouper, salmon, and a piece of cooked steak. These are artfully presented on a plate, each atop perfectly seasoned sushi rice, with different sauces/condiments, including an aceivichada on the grouper, which derives its name from the lime marinade used to cook ceviche. For my main dish, and as I was looking to avoid more rice, I ordered the "Daisuki" ($24), a protein-packed yet colorful combination of spicy krab salad, avocado, cucumber, cream cheese, and scallions wrapped in salmon, tuna, and soybean paper, with spicy mayo, crunchy rice, and fried plantain as textural and flavor elements - it was fantastic.

I suddenly drove by the place seemed familiar and then bam I remembered. I've been wanting to take my brother and mom here for a long time and since I've been craving sushi well I ordered take out. I had the super crunch and my brother had the Mexican roll. When we picked up the food it was ready, the restaurant it's small and cute, very private, busy for a Wednesday night. My mom is not that big of a sushi eater but does like tempura one's. She ate some of the super crunch and really liked it. My brother ordered the Mexican roll and he enjoyed his as well. I can't wait to go back and actually eat there

They have a variety of sushi options, both raw and cooked. They also have a lot of traditional Thai entrees, noodles, rice dishes and curry options. My husband and I each got a roll this visit. The Sushi Bomb roll was really good! It had tuna, salmon, and snapper inside with avocado, asparagus, scallions then fried on the outside. The Bluefin roll was also very unique. Tuna, Hamachi, and squid inside with refreshing Japanese pickles, avocado, scallions topped with masago. Good size and well made for both choices.
