The chips weren't stale at all and the guac is really fresh and nice portion size. I love plantains so I was excited for the black bean, cheese and plantain tacos but was soo disappointed. I was excited to see a nice portion of plantains on the taco but when I bit into it, it had a slightly chalky texture , a bit too firm, and not sweet enough but rather a little bitter. This made me think maybe the plantain wasn't ripe enough so this affected the overall execution. I've had fried plantains lots of times at other places and they're always crispy, soft and sweet so this was a huge letdown. I didn't end up finishing the taco or plantains. To end on a much better note, the fish tacos were REALLY good. The fish is big, fried perfectly without feeling super oily. The slaw adds a nice refreshing crunch and I love the sauces and guac added. It's a great mixture of flavors and probably the best fish tacos I've ever had. I will definitely be getting these and the chips and guac next time I'm going to the beach!
