Patties Hamburgers & Roast Beef - Edmond, OK…read more In my ongoing hunt for solid comfort food around Edmond, I decided to give Patties Hamburgers & Roast Beef a try--and this one is definitely worth a visit. It's a relatively small spot on 2nd Street, but don't let the size fool you. This place delivers big where it matters: hot, made-to-order food and friendly service that makes you feel welcome right away. I walked in fully intending to go with a classic burger... but sometimes you've got to listen to the people. On their way out, a couple told us it was their first visit too and highly recommended the French Dip and the daily special. That was all I needed--I made the audible. What We Ordered: * French Dip with au jus and fries * Chili Cheeseburger with fries The Food: The French Dip was the star for me--tender beef, plenty of melted cheese, and that au jus brought it all together. Solid, no-frills comfort food done right. The chili cheeseburger was messy (in a good way) and packed with flavor. Fries were crispy and did their job. Everything came out hot, fresh, and exactly how you want it. The Vibe: Casual, laid-back, and exactly what you'd expect from a local comfort food joint. Nothing fancy--but that's not why you're here. Service: Very friendly across the board. You can tell they care about the experience, and that goes a long way. Final Thoughts: This is one of those places where you already know you'll be back before you leave. Next visit, I'm going all-in on the burger lineup--and after seeing that dessert case, I may need to save room. If you're in Edmond and craving comfort food, put this one on your list.

Pretty good chicken and yummy dipping sauces. I did have a very disturbing visit this last time…read morewhen it was pretty busy and I went and ordered and placed my purse down at a table with my food order number placard thing. We had not received our food yet, it was just my 4yo son and I and I was holding him the whole time while he was sleeping and I went up to fill our cups. While I was in line to get our drinks an EMPLOYEE grabbed my purse and order number from the table so another couple could sit there. I had no one else to get our drinks for us and I was holding my sleeping son. This was very messed up and almost brought me to tears. I had to go and speak up and ask that I get the table back as there was no where else for me to sit and I didn't think I could carry our food and my son back to where we parked in a nearby parking lot since their small one was full. Very embarrassing and sad experience as I ate my food with tears in my eyes. It's not easy always doing stuff on your own with no help and these employees made it much harder.

The food was about what you would expect, nothing was wrong with it, but it would probably not be my first choice next time I want chicken strips. Service was quick and efficient in the drive through.

Gage, our waiter was very professional and helpful. He guided us through the menu and helped us make good choices. We started with three mule cocktails. We had the Oaxacan, the Moscow and Kentucky Mules. Everyone enjoyed the cocktails. One thing that stood out to me for my Oaxacan Mule is that the Mezcal's smoky flavor really shown through and it was not overly sweet. A very clean cocktail, which I highly appreciate! We ordered the Chef's Salad Wrap with Onion Rings, French Dip with the tomato soup, and the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich with seasonal side of grits. I enjoyed the Chef's Salad Wrap but I would probably be a little more bold next time and get the Cortez or the Reuben. I craved a lighter choice and was more sinful with the over the top delicious onion rings! Wowowow! Hubby enjoyed his soup and French dip and son enjoy his Philly cheesesteak and grits. I would definitely love to revisit and try more of their items.

The bacon and cheeses seem to do the heavy flavor lifting but wasn't quite enough. The rest of the entrees were fine (cheesesteak & caprese sandwiches, the spinach salad).
