Order experinece was akward as they couldn't hear well over the mic I think the mic may be picking up wind or something which happens a lot at drive thrus Had Del Rancho for the first time in a very long time and I'm sorely disappointed. The hickory burger was thin, undercooked and the meat bland. I've had charbroiled patties at several places and none as plain as this one. It honestly reminded me of the pre-made patties from the discount grocery store cooked on my stove top. The amount of sauce was insufficient and the burger was dry. We got 2 of these....cry The onion rings were very good, big oniony and exactly what I think of when I think of an onion ring. Kids meals, we got 2 burgers with cheese, one with frys and one with mashed potatoes. The portions were alright for the kids meals other than the mashed potatoes which was very small. Kids seemed to enjoy them and for $7 before cheese I'd say these were not super overpriced. Overall for 2 burgers, 2 onion rings and 2 kids meals it came to about $50. Which is a lot for a thin, pink, dry and low flavor burger. Maybe I got the wrong thing, I don't know. I'm not sure if I'll be back or not. Also they forgot my kids apple juice, told me they were in the bag, then said they ran out, offered another beverage, then instead of the other beverage found 4 cold apple juices. Update from a couple weeks ago. They just opened back up after a crash that happened. Sounds like just pickup for now. Not sure if it the norm but today our sandwiches were not crisp at all! It's hard to support local restaurants these days. Paid $5.79 for 14 tater tots with barely any cheese on them. Almost .50 cents per tot is wild. Steak sandwich was fatty and chewy too. Have tried them twice lately (since they reopened after being closed down due to damage to the building) and think I'm done. Quality vs price just isn't there. read more

TOP TIER! The dining room is clean and cozy. Very nostalgic. You are served by staff which is awesome. They are super sweet and the orders came out hot and perfect. Quiet atmosphere and tidy tables. Even the floors and air vents are spotless which is unheard of these days in older establishments. I LOVE this place! Wifey tip- if we are in a hurry, we do use their drive-through and it is pretty efficient. Every place deserves the stars it gets and it's not always solely about the food. That being said the steak sandwiches are still really good and arguing about price is almost moot in this economy. The onion rings were really good and well made. Food is just expensive these days for all of us and they're funding high-schoolers with their first jobs is worth it to me. Fun quick stop - so similar to Sonic and history tells you the owners were friends so makes sense. We got the onion rings - very good; cherry limeades - also good but no cherries inside like Sonic and the streak sandwiches - kinda tough but most flank steak is but tasty and fun to go to an original OKC spot and try it out while in town. Our favorite restaurant in Mustang. The only Del RANCHO we will go to. Most consistently great food everyone. I don't know who is putting these bad review up but that is not the case here. Some of these bad reviewers only have one review and it is Del RANCHO. There is something very suspicious about that. I love their salad with fried chicken breast and their house dressing is awesome. We drove from south of Norman to this Del Rancho. The food here was fresh and when you eat fried food you want it cooked fresh. The service Chef Salads, Chicken Fried Steak was good if the owner waited on you. Some of the staff was a bit on the sicotic side. One experience we had there was one of the employees must have had a bad night. He slamming the mop into the wall so hard I was afraid he'd knock a hole in it. He slammed chairs into each other and right across from where this employee was doing this was an elderly man trying to enjoy his dinner. We were right behind him. I called the young man over and talked to him a couple of minutes asking if he was having a bad evening. He said yes and I was able to just talk and calm him down. Another time some kid waited on us and after 2 or 3 times of getting the order wrong his mother came over and retook the order and got it right. The next time we ate there or tried too. Something went wrong with our order again. I asked for the manager. She greeted us with your the rude couple from last time. Well, that was the last straw. If you can stomach the weirdness. The food is good. Service is strange but usually OK. if I were to ever go back, it would only be drive thru. I love Del Rancho but other than this place I'd ask each one of them you eat at to cook the chicken fried steak fresh. The steak Burgers and the Chuck Burgers are awesome. read more

From my understanding, this Del Rancho is the last of the original Del Ranchos; it has the original owners who started Del Rancho back in the day. Other Del Ranchos are in the OKC area, but the unit in Mustang, OK, carriers the original owners! Nowhere can you get a superior Chicken Fried Steak or Sandwich! I left a less than flattering review a few weeks ago so I wanted to follow up! UPDATE: I reached out to Del Rancho on FB to let them know about our experience. They answered right away and were very gracious, explaining they have had a difficult time getting help, profusely apologizing, refunding our money, gave us cards for free food and told us that the issue would be addressed immediately at the restaurant. We have had good experiences in the past at Del Rancho and their response has convinced us to give them another chance. They let us know they really care about their customers and that's the kind of people we want to do business with. So we will be back after all! read more

Unless you want leftovers to take home or super hungry, go for tge smaller serving sizes. Friendly staff. Only two drawbacks, everything made fresh, so drive thru is slow, and the prices are a little high for a lunch menu. Don't go for the chili burger. I gave the side of okra back to the manager and didn't even ask for a refund. Two of there employees even said the price was too high. A 48 oz bag of name brand pre breaded okra from Walmart is $5.88. It has a qty of 17 - 3/4 cup servings in one bag. That's .35 cents a serving. Del Rancho marks up their Okra 1269%. The menu also says that the okra comes with Ranch. I received no ranch. Also said no tomatoes on my steak sandwich supreme and guess what, they still put them on the sandwich. read more

The Mustang, Moore and Norman locations are the best. The location in Mustang always has a team on their A-game. I've never been disappointed with my service or food. They restaurant is aways clean -inside and out. Many places in OKC tout they have a Chicken Fried Steak Sandwich or Platter -but they always come short when compared to Del Rancho (Kendall's excluded). If you are going to have an Oklahoma staple on your menu -you've got to nail it -and nail it every time. Too many times the CFS is either too small, tough and gristly or the batter is like munching on gravel. Unlike Chuck House, Del Rancho has maintained product quality and serving size. Too many restaurants are afraid to raise prices to offer such a quality product -so they skimp on it. It's sad. It's even more frustrating when they want to charge you $3 for a beverage or $4 for a side to make up for the lack of product they serve.
