I ordered the gyro sandwich meal with fries. The gyro itself was really good and the tzatziki sauce was flavorful and fresh. The fries were a bit plain but not bad. I went through the drive thru and the service was quick and the lady who helped me was very nice. I also tried the baklava which was just okay and nothing special. I've been meaning to come here, but they always look like they are closed. Anyway, I was able to stop by during lunchtime, and I went through their drive-through. It also looks closed, and the screen is out. I had two orders of the gyro sandwich and Greek salad combo. It took a couple of minutes to get my order which I didn't mind since they looked busy inside. The lady at the window was friendly. Surprisingly the food was delicious! The toasted pita is filled with gyro meat, lettuce, tomato, onions, and tzatziki sauce on the side. The meat is seared to a crisp on the outside, thinly sliced, and well-seasoned. Next was the salad, which was fresh and had a nice light dressing to accompany it. The only downside was I found a few bugs on the lettuces. That was off-putting. But would I come back? Stopped at their place at the state fair for my usual gyro sandwich. Wasn't busy at all. Walked up and ordered a sandwich. It comes with onion, tomato, lettuce and tzatziki sauce. Asked for some extra onion. Took abt 3 minutes. The meat was cooked well with some charred spots for flavor. The Greek spices were nice. The lady at the window was awesome and chatted for a few. The sandwich was outstanding. Plenty of meat and accessories. Also ordered a bottle of water which was 4 bucks. I think tht is a little crazy. The sandwich was 10 which by fair standards is pretty good. I will definitely be going to check out the brick and mortar place. Since starting a nutritarian diet (due to wheat, gluten, soy, yeast, dairy, cashew and rice allergies), I've made it a mission to find good meatless options without soy. It seems like it should be a simple task but it is not. I have recently discovered falafel and while out postmating, decided to try this place. It really is located in a terrible part of town. There were so many homeless that passed by me while I was trying to figure out what to order, it was crazy. It's almost on the outskirts of main stream film row. The building looks like it has seen it's better days and since they were close to closing, I used the drive-through. I got the falafel and hummus plate. I also got a falafel sandwich for tomorrow but I plan to eat without the wrap. I got some fries so I'm hoping they weren't fried and something I can't have. The fries were delicious and not seasoned at all. Plus they didn't seem greasy. I ate the hummus, salad and falafel. This place definitely has a lot of character - if you go inside to dine, you will notice the various portraits of Greece and a section where they sell an interesting assortment of old items like phones, books, keyboards, furniture, small personal devices, etc., with prices written on them. I believe this specific location has been an OKC mainstay for some time now - same applies to the antique Ken Boyer Bail Bonds car in front. I have also tried both the drive-thru (very convenient, and it seems as if every restaurant in OKC has a drive-thru) and in-person dining. Their standard gyro plate (you can choose rice or fries - I chose rice) was very good, especially with the accompanying yogurt sauce. Next time will definitely try some of their side dishes such as hummus or baklava. Definitely recommended! read more

This is obviously a family owned business. The staff were really nice and very friendly. When we got there, the door was locked so we thought they weren't open. They let us in quickly. Not sure why the doors were locked. We ordered at the counter and sat down. We got our food quickly and it was piping hot and there was huge portions which was awesome. My chicken was really moist and yummy. There was so much chicken I ate a lot by itself because I couldn't pick the pita up there was so much. My sauce was on the side in a small container. Because of the large amount of food, I would have liked more sauce. I could have walked up and got more I'm sure but I didn't. My husband liked his gyro but didn't love it. We both got tons rice and I wish we had some type of sauce for it. The rice was a little bland. I would go again to eat there because I like to help family stores. read more

A rainy Tuesday evening and I found myself at Sweis Greek Cafe I ordered a junior hero plate with french fries. The fries were crispy and tender.. Very well done examples of golden brown and delicious. The Gyro meat was mildly spiced with a moist texture and meaty taste that redeemed my faith in the concept of gyro meat. The pita bread was a warm soft bready bed for the meat The Tzaki sauce was a cool creamy and cucumbery, ever so slightly tangy accompaniment to the lamby meatloaf. The veggies were fresh and crisp. They made a high quality salad on its own. The Feta strewn across the veggies was a highlight of the plate. I was pleased with the taste and quality of the meal. I definitely recommend Sweis as among the best Greek food OKC has to offer. read more

I've visited here twice, about a week apart, and I have to say it really is so good. The thing that bumps it down a star is that the gyro is VERY basic, it only comes with lettuce, tomato and MAYBE onion? I like that they give you up to two sauces without charging, because it seems like other places only give you one, which certainly isn't enough. The first time, I tried the gyro with fries. The second, I tried it with rice instead. I actually tried it on the recommendation of the sweet lady running the counter, she explained it to me and even struck up a conversation about what kind of flavors I like, and suggested I try it with the spicy salsa. I did, and tried it right there at the counter, and it was excellent! Another reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that the rice really doesn't have a LOT of flavor by itself, so I loaded it up with the salsa and some seasoning salt. However, far and away the best thing about here is the customer service. Every time I've gone the lady behind the counter remembers me, remembers my order, remembers what I like, and even asks about my family. They're all genuinely so helpful and friendly, and I feel like it really shows that they care about what they do, in their work. I don't think the food is bad, it's decent (maybe not the BEST gyro I've had in the city) but the service puts it over the top for me, because it makes it a really friendly, enjoyable place to go sit for lunch. Plus, they're QUICK, so I never have to worry about taking longer at lunchtime than I should. Also, they do have a drive-thru, too, so that's worth a mention. I've never bothered with the drive-thru though because I go at lunch so I can sit and read, plus they're so quick inside that it doesn't matter anyway :) read more

Fast, filling, flavorful, are apt descriptions for Sweis Greek restaurant. I took my daughter and granddaughter there yesterday for our monthly lunch outing. It is located in an commercial/industrial area, so there isn't any elegant ambiance but due to loads of windows and no music it is light and airy and easy have family chats. Stopped in this fast food restaurant after finding it on Yelp. There is a drive through for convenience as well. As far as fast food restaurants go, this one was superior to most. It's locally owned, I suspect, and the food was fresh and delicious. If you are driving through the City and want a quick, fresh, fast meal then I recommend this place. They also have a low carb meal which I had and it was great. It consisted of Greek salad and gyro meat - generous portions of both. I've been through the drive up twice for a quick lunch. One time I got the low carb combo which was really good. It was a greek salad with a side of the gyro meat. So delicious! The other time I got a gyro combo with fries. The gyro itself was very good and had tons of meat. The fries were piping hot, but tasted unseasoned and bland. I tried adding salt to them, but they still lacked flavor. Overall, this place is quick and reasonably priced. I will definitely be back for the low carb combo again sometime soon. read more

I feel like Sweis is on par with Sabarro in the shopping malls. Like many restaurants the quality depends on whose working and how busy they are/aren't. This Sweis appears to rarely be busy. Ever. I grew up eating a wide mix of ethnic dishes that are now close to my heart. Gyros are far and above in the top 3 of my favorite foods so I was super stoked to find out Burger King had been replaced by Sweis Cafe on the edge of the metro farmer's market. I like gyros with lamb but I know its not popular with the masses and more expensive too, I don't believe what they serve is lamb. Therefore I am left with a meat alloy here.(Yes, I reference metal blends to related to their meat.) The spices were bland in the meat and the tzatziki tasted like the cucumbers hadn't been leeched of their water before being mixed in. I use dill in my homemade sauce so my experience may be different from what other people expect of a commercial gyro. I know they're franchise and probably have approved vendors for their naan and everything else but I want better flavor. I am not asking Guy Fieri to show up and take me to Flavor Town with a Sweis sandwich but dang it, take me somewhere! This was over all a disappointment regardless of price. Expect more from your spit roasted meat and don't except wilted lettuce or watery tzatziki. Drive on in search of better. read more

I've always been a fan of Sweis', almost exclusively due to the locations in both malls, but was in the area and was craving gyros. I usually get the "low carb" option which is gyro meat with a Greek salad. I enjoy their salad dressing. I ordered in the drive-thru and it only took a couple of minutes. You could tell the meat hadn't been sliced too recently but it still tasted alright. Not bad at all for the price and a quick bite. It doesn't look like it'd be too nice inside and I most likely will never dine in house, but it's a good option for the area for something different as far as fast food is concerned. read more
