After a nice stroll in Old Pasadena time for an early dinner. Saldang has been a go to Thai place. So we ate early with delicious entrees. Pad Thai all time favorite. Fried calamari so tender and crunchy Pri king with beef green been and Thai basil fried pork belly were satisfying. Overall very tasty.

Warm and friendly service. Excellent Thai cuisine. There is a sister restaurant next door with similar name and menu but i always like the Garden more. Same open floor plan but you can see more greens and flowers at the garden. Saladang Garden's menu also has more varieties. Patio sitting also available during the day. It has the traditional Thai staples like tom yum, papaya salad and curry etc. you will find exotic dishes here too. Like whole catfish and lamb shank. Corn fritters from the appetizer section was also a big hit. Of course we have to end with mango sticky rice. Convenient parking in the parking lot. Some street parking too.

Truly authentic Thai restaurant in Pasadena. Not only is the food DELICIOUS but the setting is beautifully serene. We shared Tom Kha soup, Thai curry soup, and the Saladang special pad Thai. All so flavorful and fresh.

Passing by on my way to Pasadena I always see this spot and today i finally decided to stop and try it out Service is good and they treat you nice, I love it, the ambience it's perfect to bring the family big restaurants a lot of natural light I order a couple of dishes, everything was delicious very straightforward nothing out of the ordinary but definitely a place to try some traditional Thai cuisine Definitely recommend

Always a great experience eating here. This time, we came for lunch on a Sunday. The workers here are very friendly and polite. I love the decor they have on the wall. Too many wonderful dishes to choose from like pad thai, deep fried sole, and papaya salad . You can never go wrong choosing to eat at this location

I love me Thai food, always. Such a beautiful restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant always feels so inviting with their floor to ceiling windows and high ceilings! The space is very bright and airy, but also can be very moody for dinner. I read on their website that the space (indoor or outdoor) can be reserved for events as well. Parking never seems to be an issue here, there are plenty of parking in their lot and street parking as well. What I ordered: Crispy Pork Salad 10/5 - There's something about the sauce that pairs so well with this salad. It's like a fish sauce but more on the sour/vinegar-y side. Such a refreshing dish and I swear I can just eat this all to myself. Haha the portion size is shareable among a few people. Yellow Curry Chicken 5/5 - Super fragrant and not spicy, although I believe you can change your spice levels. BBQ Pork Rice Bowl 2/5 - The picture on the menu looked so promising and honestly this one disappointed me. The BBQ Pork was very dry and lacked so much flavor. I wouldn't order this again Garlic Pepper Pork Bowl 3.5/5 - This tasted much better than the BBQ Pork Rice bowl. It was lot more flavorful and the meat wasn't dry. Service is always fast here, and the waiters are super friendly. Enjoy!

It has been so long since my last time here. It was so nice to come here again! Came here for lunch with my colleagues, and we shared the dishes. We ordered the Fish cake, Crispy trout, Hainan chicken, tofu Pad Thai, yummy eggplant Salad, Chicken yellow curry, and Pineapple fried rice. The food was so good! My colleagues came here for the first time even said they will definitely come back, too. The place is very nice, we can describe it as fine dining experience. Also, they have their own parking lot at the side and at rear. If you prefer a causal setting, you may also try their sister restaurant that's right next to it.

Service great, ambiance beautiful and peaceful. Staff was helpful with my questions about the food. I tried the Pad Thai veggies only. It was good but a bit sweet for my liking. I tried my Dad's eggplant (also sweet), and I even tried my hubby's curry chicken (still sweet). I feel someone favors sweet over savory in the kitchen. That's great if you like that sort of thing but it got to be a little too much for my palate. I'll still come back and try it again but only if I feel like something sweet. Parking lot is available so that is a plus and lunch special during the weekdays.

Sunday early dinner. Cron fritters, chicken satay, drunken noodle and curry lamb shank. The corn fritter was interesting but a bit oily. Satay was good and flavorful, not dry. But drunken noodle was lacking much flavor or "wok breath". Lamb shank was very mid with little curry flavor and served kind of dry as well Not particularly.impressive. service was good and we git seated quickly. Parking was plentiful.

Do they have happy hour specials?

The old Saladang Song used to have freshly fried shrimp chips as an appetizer. Like the fresh, high-end version of what you can buy in bags and markets. They took them off their menu. Where can I get these delicacies?

You might want to try 99 Ranch Market. Good luck!

We ordered and there was just a couple of people in front of us. Once we ordered we sat at a table designed for four and then someone came around after just a couple of minutes and moved us to a different four top in a different part of the restaurant. If they were going to do that, why not just seat people from the beginning. The person who took our order was very kind, and it did not take too long for the food to arrive. The Reyn is a popular breakfast spot in Pasadena and a place I still visit from time to time,…read moreusually when meeting friends or colleagues. Despite its popularity, I find the food to be fairly average. Much of it tastes like it's made from standard commercial food-service ingredients rather than prepared fresh. On the positive side, the prices are reasonable, the dining room has a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff is generally attentive. Overall, it's a decent neighborhood breakfast restaurant - nothing particularly memorable, but nothing especially disappointing either. The Reyn Special - 3/5. A classic breakfast plate with eggs, bacon, hash browns, and banana bread. The eggs and bacon are fairly average, although the bacon tends to be overcooked and dry. The standout is the hash browns. They're cooked with a nicely browned, crispy crust while still remaining fairly moist inside. The real highlight, however, is the banana bread. It tastes homemade and is easily the best item on the plate. Crepes - 1.5/5. This dish comes as two separate plates: one with the ricotta-filled crepes and another with eggs, sausage, bacon, and your choice of fries or tater tots. Unfortunately, the crepes are the weakest part of the meal. The ricotta-filled crepes don't taste freshly made and instead resemble a pre-made food-service product that's simply reheated before serving. Both the crepe and ricotta filling have a generic flavor with noticeable artificial notes. You can choose either banana or strawberry topping, but both sauces taste overly processed and artificial. The accompanying breakfast plate is noticeably better. I chose the tater tots, which were well prepared - crispy on the outside while remaining soft inside. The bacon, however, was again overcooked and dry, making it tough to chew. The sausage was acceptable but unremarkable. Scrambled Supreme - 2.5/5. Despite the name, this is essentially an omelet. The eggs have a mild, neutral flavor, and the fillings are okay but don't stand out. Coffee - 2.5/5. The coffee is classic diner coffee in every sense. It's somewhat watery, heavily roasted, and finishes with a flat, slightly bitter aftertaste. It's neither particularly good nor particularly bad - just standard coffee that does the job. Overall, The Reyn succeeds as a comfortable, affordable breakfast spot with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. While the food is average, and several dishes rely on ingredients that taste commercially prepared rather than freshly made.
