N-A-S-T-Y!!! I ordered the yellow curry from Uber eats and this is what was delivered to me. It's literally just shriveled up chicken. There was no vegetables included, except for the small piece of potato and barely any sauce. I tried to complain to Uber eats but they would not refund me. I used to come to this restaurant as a kid and really enjoyed it. Based on the other reviews, it sounds like ownership has changed, and this is pretty obvious based on this Photo.

Every time I dine here I imagine I could live here. The architectural design really resonates with me. I imagine the perfect rainforest retreat in Hawaii, with the large concrete and metal structures surrounding the building creates a secure and private courtyard. The seating outside is spacious so you don't feel like you are sharing your conversation with a neighboring table. The food is amazing, every time! Last visit I had the breakfast porridge. I will come back for it again. On a previous visit, the pumpkin curry was enough to make your toes curl with pleasure! The wait staff is pleasant and attentive. The best part for me, is the patio is dog friendly so our furry family member gets to be included.

After a nice stroll in Old Pasadena time for an early dinner. Saldang has been a go to Thai place. So we ate early with delicious entrees. Pad Thai all time favorite. Fried calamari so tender and crunchy Pri king with beef green been and Thai basil fried pork belly were satisfying. Overall very tasty.

Warm and friendly service. Excellent Thai cuisine. There is a sister restaurant next door with similar name and menu but i always like the Garden more. Same open floor plan but you can see more greens and flowers at the garden. Saladang Garden's menu also has more varieties. Patio sitting also available during the day. It has the traditional Thai staples like tom yum, papaya salad and curry etc. you will find exotic dishes here too. Like whole catfish and lamb shank. Corn fritters from the appetizer section was also a big hit. Of course we have to end with mango sticky rice. Convenient parking in the parking lot. Some street parking too.

Truly authentic Thai restaurant in Pasadena. Not only is the food DELICIOUS but the setting is beautifully serene. We shared Tom Kha soup, Thai curry soup, and the Saladang special pad Thai. All so flavorful and fresh.

Passing by on my way to Pasadena I always see this spot and today i finally decided to stop and try it out Service is good and they treat you nice, I love it, the ambience it's perfect to bring the family big restaurants a lot of natural light I order a couple of dishes, everything was delicious very straightforward nothing out of the ordinary but definitely a place to try some traditional Thai cuisine Definitely recommend

I love me Thai food, always. Such a beautiful restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant always feels so inviting with their floor to ceiling windows and high ceilings! The space is very bright and airy, but also can be very moody for dinner. I read on their website that the space (indoor or outdoor) can be reserved for events as well. Parking never seems to be an issue here, there are plenty of parking in their lot and street parking as well. What I ordered: Crispy Pork Salad 10/5 - There's something about the sauce that pairs so well with this salad. It's like a fish sauce but more on the sour/vinegar-y side. Such a refreshing dish and I swear I can just eat this all to myself. Haha the portion size is shareable among a few people. Yellow Curry Chicken 5/5 - Super fragrant and not spicy, although I believe you can change your spice levels. BBQ Pork Rice Bowl 2/5 - The picture on the menu looked so promising and honestly this one disappointed me. The BBQ Pork was very dry and lacked so much flavor. I wouldn't order this again Garlic Pepper Pork Bowl 3.5/5 - This tasted much better than the BBQ Pork Rice bowl. It was lot more flavorful and the meat wasn't dry. Service is always fast here, and the waiters are super friendly. Enjoy!

It has been so long since my last time here. It was so nice to come here again! Came here for lunch with my colleagues, and we shared the dishes. We ordered the Fish cake, Crispy trout, Hainan chicken, tofu Pad Thai, yummy eggplant Salad, Chicken yellow curry, and Pineapple fried rice. The food was so good! My colleagues came here for the first time even said they will definitely come back, too. The place is very nice, we can describe it as fine dining experience. Also, they have their own parking lot at the side and at rear. If you prefer a causal setting, you may also try their sister restaurant that's right next to it.

Always a great experience eating here. This time, we came for lunch on a Sunday. The workers here are very friendly and polite. I love the decor they have on the wall. Too many wonderful dishes to choose from like pad thai, deep fried sole, and papaya salad . You can never go wrong choosing to eat at this location

Ask the Community - Saladang Garden

Do they have happy hour specials?

The old Saladang Song used to have freshly fried shrimp chips as an appetizer. Like the fresh, high-end version of what you can buy in bags and markets. They took them off their menu. Where can I get these delicacies?

You might want to try 99 Ranch Market. Good luck!

We arrived just before noon and there was already a wait list and line for a table. When checking in, we were told it would be about a half hour wait or so. It's fine, they take your number and text you to let you know when your table is ready. Also, it's advised to look at the menu beforehand as when your table is ready, you order before being seated. It did take about half an hour or so till we got seated. We originally asked for a table outside but it wasn't available so inside it was. You order before being seated and a number placards is given for the table. Menu, it has a a lot of good dishes to choose from. The last time we were here the meal was great so we knew what to expect again. Started off with some mimosas, which was about 10.00 a glass. Also water was brought out. Every single one of the staff were so friendly which is nice to walk into a place so welcoming. Friendly hi, making sure everyone was taken care of and if anything was needed. Great customer service. Drinks didn't take long to arrive followed by the first item. The cinnamon apple French toast. It was quite nice with the crunch and apple jam. Everything was great when brought out that no extra syrup was needed. Also served with whipped cream. Within a Couple minutes after that, the entrees came out. An order of the kimchi buttered fried chicken Benedict. First off, it was delicious. Two big portions of Benedict, with kimchi added and the chicken had a lot of flavors. It wasn't too powering with the kimchi and worked really well. That came with their potatoes and a side salad. And the Norwegian Benedict with smoked salmon. Basically a smoked salmon Benedict with all the trimmings. The meals were great and the dishes were massive. We've seen a couple of people sharing plates and lots of leftovers. The food was great and delicious. Service didn't take long after ordering and staff were all very friendly. The only waiting was for a table but that's a given during the weekend. They are limited in hours. Mainly breakfast and brunch but the food was great. Until next time. Parking situation is either street parking which is paid with the kiosk as well as the parking structure behind the building.

I literally got the last seat in the joint, and it's not a small place, with indoor and outdoor seating. Due to the popularity, finding parking is a bit of a chore. They have a lot but it is obviously filled to capacity with people waiting in the aisles for someone to leave. Service was very friendly and attentive. They're busy, and thankfully they employ a rather large staff of servers and busboys. And the food? It's killer. I got the pistachio latte, which was amazing and almost comically large. I also got the lavender lemonade, which is just freshly made lemonade with a lavender syrup poured in, sitting sadly on the bottom. Just stick with regular lemonade. I ordered the blueberry French toast, a side of bacon, and some hash browns - which I think they only have on weekdays. The waitress was very helpful and nice and pointed out I should get the combo with two eggs for less money. I did, even though I don't eat eggs, and took a couple cooked over hard home for my son. They looked good. The blueberry French toast was terrific. Excellent flavor, great texture, and the right balance so it wasn't too sweet overall with the syrup. The bacon was great, but it's usually hard to screw up bacon unless the stuff has gone bad. The hash browns were the only disappointment. They look good, but they are a little greasy and not very well seasoned. They're basically too bland. Still, this is one of the best breakfasts I've had in the San Gabriel Valley and around Pasadena. I can see why it's so busy, and I will definitely be back. Recommended. Just go!

I was so happy they it was nice and cool inside, as it was sweltering hot outside! They were very fast when taking my order. I ordered the vegan famous breakfast burrito with the plant based Mexican chipotle sausage. It was just as delicious as the menu described it to be. The burrito was fully loaded with tofu eggs, which were crumbly and salted, some buttery avocado slices, crispy tater tots that were fried to perfection, and delectable and melty vegan cheese. The Mexican chipotle sausage worked so well in the burrito, adding a nice savory and meaty flavor while also adding some heat to the dish. I felt so great after eating it and it was very filling. The ambiance here was lovely and it was fun, upbeat and cheery. The seating was so comfortable and I felt relaxed and at ease while dining here. I loved the promptness and attention to detail. I didn't end up getting coffee, as I already drank 2 cups before coming here and it was barely noon. But the smell of espresso had me drooling and making me wish I could stomach a third cup! But it gives me a reason to return! Along with so many other enticing vegan dishes! Parking was super easy as I found a spot on the street right in front of the restaurant. But they also have a parking lot behind the restaurant with plenty of parking!

We were done about an hour before our reservation time. We hoped to be accommodated earlier but saw the long line and crowd waiting as we drove by. We decided to run a couple small errands instead. We arrived about 10 minutes before our reservation. It was still busy, but there were not as many people waiting. The hostess was so warm and welcoming. She let us know that the customers at our designated table were almost done and that they will have it ready in just a few minutes. Unfortunately, those customers decided to linger much longer. Thirty minutes later, they were still hanging around. We fully understood that this was not by any fault of the restaurant. We continued to wait patiently. The hostess was very apologetic and was trying to work out a solution which led to the Floor Manager (Karla) getting involved. We were eventually seated at another table, with the option to move should the other table become available. Karla then took the time to apologize for the wait and unfortunate first impression. As we got started with drinks and a pastry for the daughter, the other table opened. The hostess immediately came to move us. It all went smoothly from there. Table service was casual and attentive. We started with the Chocolate Almond Croissant and the Baguette & Bordier Butter. The daughter tried the Iced Matcha Latte. For our entrées -- Shakshuka, Patty Melt and Brioche Eggs Benedict (with salmon). I was eager to try the Potato Gravlax, but it was sold out. :( Everything was so, so delicious! Fresh and flavorful. Lovely presentations. Very good portions. As we were finishing, Karla came to our table again to express her gratitude for our patience and understanding. Despite its popularity, I find the food to be fairly average. Much of it tastes like it's made from standard commercial food-service ingredients rather than prepared fresh. On the positive side, the prices are reasonable, the dining room has a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff is generally attentive. Overall, it's a decent neighborhood breakfast restaurant - nothing particularly memorable, but nothing especially disappointing either. The Reyn Special - 3/5. A classic breakfast plate with eggs, bacon, hash browns, and banana bread. The eggs and bacon are fairly average, although the bacon tends to be overcooked and dry. The standout is the hash browns. They're cooked with a nicely browned, crispy crust while still remaining fairly moist inside. The real highlight, however, is the banana bread. It tastes homemade and is easily the best item on the plate. Crepes - 1/5. This dish comes as two separate plates: one with the ricotta-filled crepes and another with eggs, sausage, bacon, and your choice of fries or tater tots. Unfortunately, the crepes are the weakest part of the meal. The ricotta-filled crepes don't taste freshly made and instead resemble a pre-made food-service product that's simply reheated before serving. Both the crepe and ricotta filling have a generic flavor with noticeable artificial notes. You can choose either banana or strawberry topping, but both sauces taste overly processed and artificial. The accompanying breakfast plate is noticeably better. I chose the tater tots, which were well prepared - crispy on the outside while remaining soft inside. The bacon, however, was again overcooked and dry, making it tough to chew. The sausage was acceptable but unremarkable. Scrambled Supreme - 2.5/5. Despite the name, this is essentially an omelet. The eggs have a mild, neutral flavor, and the fillings are okay but don't stand out. Coffee - 2/5. The coffee is classic diner coffee in every sense. It's somewhat watery, heavily roasted, and finishes with a flat, slightly bitter aftertaste. It's neither particularly good nor particularly bad - just standard coffee that does the job. Overall, The Reyn succeeds as a comfortable, affordable breakfast spot with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. While the food is average, and several dishes rely on ingredients that taste commercially prepared rather than freshly made.

Calamari was not what I was expecting but a pleasant surprised - it tasted similar to nuoc mam wings but buttery and lighter. The chicken satay skewers were also very yummy. I really liked the pickled tiny onions on the side (they should add more than two imo). We also got the fried rice and wagyu but that wasn't very worth it in my opinion - for the price you pay extra for the meat and the portion/quality of meat it didn't feel worth it. Overall the place was good but I wouldn't say it was worthy of coming again unless a friend really wanted to try it.
