Then I go out to car that was parked right out front and drank a monster and came back in 10 minutes later ready to go. Then he tells me that since I left the building, that it's considered a refusal as well as a positive result. Turns out he called my PO as soon as I walked out the door. Sign in at the kiosk, sit down, go to the desk when your name is called. I had prepaid, so I handed Michele my paperwork. The phlebotomists moved quickly. When I was called, Michele, a woman of many talents, turned out to be a phlebotomist, too. I'm used to getting finger sticks for INR, but a venipuncture was required. I DIDN'T EVEN FEEL THE NEEDLE GO INTO MY VEIN, which Michele found on the first try! Usually, I'm like a pin cushion when others have drawn blood from me. SHE IS GREAT! I got there with my 15 month old son and brought his stroller so he could sit in that while I got my blood drawn. Come to find the elevator was broken for the building and we had to use the stairs. Quick trip back to the car and we walked up the stairs. I checked in and told the front desk lady about the stroller and that I would have to hold him while I got my blood drawn and she said no worries. Upon being called, my sweet lady asked if my son would let another nurse hold him and I said sure! I got my blood drawn, didn't even feel it, and another nurse held my son and gave him stickers right next to us. 10/10 for everyone there!!! In my car by 9:07am

The Temple clinics are the absolute worst in patient care. First in July of 2025 I had an…read moreappointment scheduled for a procedure. I called multiple times for pre-operative instructions and was told that they would call me the day before the procedure to go over that. Turned out I needed to stop talking a medication three days before, according to their anesthetist, despite having multiple procedures this year at Scott & White in College Station, without any mention of this need. Today I arrived for my appointment and because they've stopped taking cash, they told me to call the business office to get a same day financial waiver so that I could pay the copay once I deposited my cash. The business office told me they couldn't help me unless the appointment was made the same day. It took ten minutes to get a person on the phone, and then they hung up on me, so I had to call again. By the time I got to the person who was supposed to be able to help, it was my appointment time. So I scrambled to try to get someone to send me the money to pay electronically, but it was too late. I've waited three months for this specialist visit, and driven two hours to get here. Plus, I have insurance, which they were charging my insurance company over $300 for the visit. So they would rather have an empty appointment slot and receive $0 than make an accommodation and get me in to see the doctor. Save yourself the added stress and raised blood pressure and just go to Houston. The doctors are better and the office staff actually act like they care just a little bit.
