Our Unity Roadtrip crew have been on the road for close to 3 weeks and eating a lot of unhealthy food so I was really excited for this. We were a party of 17 (12 teenage girls) and everyone got to choose how they liked their salad. Meat eaters have many delicious options. One of our girls didn't want this "chicken feed" and went next door for Chick-fil-a. ‍ The staff were kind and patient with us. I love trying a little bit of everything so you'll see in the photo my salad is a whole yummy mess. The ambiance is modern sleek, clean, and spacious. It reminds me of a cafeteria but fancier. I really like this place. It's a prefect place to get a great salad. The toppings are fresh and vibrant. I've had the herb chicken and the chipotle chicken. Both had very good texture and moisture. The service was also very efficient and friendly. The restaurant itself is clean and the seating I found to be comfortable. I liked that they served the food in the same stainless bowl that they use to build and mix the salad. I do like the options available and would definitely return here. I got a to go order and there was barely any toppings. I go here for all the toppings because they're so good and I get hearty amounts of them and this time it's like they gave me a pinch of each thing. I counted 8 carrot slices and they were so small. 7 banana peppers. And the other toppings are not even visible, I'm not even sure they put them in. I definitely had no cilantro, and if they were out they could've told me when I picked it up and maybe even thrown in some extra toppings to make up for it. My husband and I dropped in our way to Houston from New Orleans, and being our first time in a Salata (though there's one 10 minutes from me), we were blown away at the options. We're avid lovers of Sweetgreen, and we found Salata had several more options. We loved being able to customize our salads and wraps, and our food was fresh. Though we did takeout, I wouldn't mind dropping in again for a quick bite. The convenience off 210 is what makes this location even better. read more

A friend and I went to Salata on Friday and really enjoyed our meal I had salad and soup. I didn't add protein other than a boiled egg. they had a great choice of salad greens and all were super fresh. First time trying this place. Used the app to order and husband picked up. The peach lemonade was delicious! I did a make your own salad and topped it with a lemon herb vinaigrette dressing that was amazing! I could drink a tub of that stuff if I am being honest. Took one star off cause I had picked snap peas and there was only one tiny chunk of snap pea in the whole salad and those are my favorite. I recommend the strawberries and apple pieces with the lemon vinaigrette. It all worked well together! read more

Only down side would be the protein was very large sliced, spoke with the manager and he said they will be working to try and get more uniform cuts going forward. The salad was really good, the service left a lot to be desired. I ordered on their app for pickup. There were 3 people in line to pick up online orders, a door dash driver, me and a guy in front of me. The young lady gives the door dash driver the order he is waiting for and says nothing. The guy in front of me and I wait another 8 minutes (22 total) and when she finally gives us our food, she doesn't apologize for our wait. No she says "maybe next time don't order at lunch time, we're very busy". Had she said I'm sorry for your wait, I would have gone back, but I think instead I'll follow her suggestion and not order at lunch time or any other time. read more

I was treated terribly at Salata in Lake Charles. I have been to several Salatas in Houston and San Antonio but this was my absolute 1st negative experience. I asked for a salad wrap and went down the line with all my choices added on and when I reached the end I told them which wrap I wanted. The manager comes out and tells me "You can't have a wrap you have a salad." I told him I ordered a wrap and he told me "You can order the wrap and a salad on the side which you will pay for both." I asked him how it was my fault that I ordered a wrap and they made a salad. He then grabs a handful of my food and stuffs it in a wrap and says "Here you go." I told him that if I took it like that I would be missing a majority of the vegetables i ordered. He said "If you don't want it you don't have to eat it." AND HE THROWS IT ALL IN THE TRASH and tells me to start over. I reluctantly go back to the beginning and start all over with him making my wrap this time. We go through the line with him taking only 2 of each item and applying it to my wrap. I literally had to beg him for more and he would only add 1 more of the item. It was such a belittling experience as a black man. When he finally finished and I payed for my wrap I let him know that I've been to Salata many times and have never experienced such treatment. He tells me "It's our policy that we don't allow customers to have anything extra." I should have left immediately when he threw my wrap away but I won't return. read more

Was ordering 2 lg salads for 2 adults..everytime i asked for another spoonful of anything..there were smirks and eyes rollings..had to keep repeating what i wanted added to the salads. I am a regular at other Salata restaurants but this one was just ok. Romain lettuce was not fresh and had many brown pieces in the mix. In addition, with the recent scare of COVID-19 virus, was surprised the guy tossing my salad only had one glove on and did not seem to interested to toss it. My salad was to-go, and when I asked for plastic wear, the guy at the cash register, handling the money, reached into a large bag of forks and put one in my bag, after touching them all with his bare hands. All in all, it was ok but not sure if I will be back. Sanitary, cleanliness and freshness of the food are important to me, but didn't seem so important to the staff working this evening. read more
