A cute old-fashioned mom and pop breakfast spot. Honestly felt like I was younger again as my mom made breakfast in the kitchen. I had a country omelette and some home fries. Everything tasted alright as if it were homemade. A tad bit overcooked. Old school ambiance and decor. Unfortunately, they were out of a lot of things on the menu. My friend wanted a country fried steak & I originally wanted corn beef hash, but they had run out. If I lived in the area I would still give this place another try, could of just been an off day!

Chicken, fried steak with sausage gravy, and a huge half portion of hashbrowns.

Located in Salida's downtown District. The owners running this establishment are very friendly and very generous. The food is also delicious with huge portions! This restaurant is small and homey yet clean. The owners make it a point to sit and chat with you just so they get to know you. It seems a lot of locals come to this restaurant and the owners know them by name!

Lucky to find this place on Yelp! Very happy with their friendly services, good prices. Breakfast were made to order, freshly made. My family love them. Will visit again in the near future. Highly recommended ! Looks like it is a family run business, not a fast food chain.

Please disregard all the bad reviews and just go try this place out. A little hole in the wall! It's mom and pop shop, it's dark and dingy, not dirty! The food is fantastic! My partner had the chicken fried steak and it came with eggs hash browns and biscuits and gravy and I can personally attest that it was delicious because I was dipping into his plate. I had the French toast, wow! It was so delicious! I also had a bbq pork Vietnamese sandwich and it was amazing! We shared an Apple fritter that was bigger than my face! The coffee was amazing, and I know because I like my coffee black with no sugar! We will definitely be coming back because my partner really loved their hash browns along with everything else.

Mom and Pop breakfast and donut shop. Very sweet, funny and welcoming environment every time we went. It was only the parents working here, so be mindful when it gets busy. Food is very straightforward not too fancy or too expensive, turned out good everytime. Have not had a problem every time i came here and their bathroom is clean.

SO WELCOMING!!! We love coming here for some morning breakfast. Super friendly and fast service. Always make us feel welcome.

................. when I seen that School cafeteria hash brown... it was a no for me

... What the heck happened?! LOL bro, this is nothing like it was. Very very very sweet people... Crappy country breakfast. First off you don't give me microwave hashbrowns and throw in a fryer and think it's delicious... I came to the old country fried steak meal only to find out they don't make that anymore because they have new owners. They have a 8 ounce steak which sounds fine to me... But what doesn't sound good is a gray biscuit that's very hard within a couple of seconds, Scrambled eggs cooked without scrabbling them at all(mixed eggs and cooked like a flat pancake), and a pancake that is cold..... you guys are so nice and I would love to stop by again l.. but maybe for just a donut to go next time. Please stop by a county style breakfast shop and I know you can taste the love and effort that's put in. I hope things change.

Bagel with ham egg and cheese 5/5 Bagel was fresh and perfectly toasted the eggs were seasoned well and everything else was good we split this and the bowl Açaí bowl was actually very tasty my only problem and reason for not giving 5 stars all around is that I have a nut allergy and specifically asked the girl if the bowl had any nuts in or on it she said no so I said there's no peanut butter or nuts in the granola? And again was told no. The granola does in fact have almond slivers in it luckily I am not so allergic I will die from it or need an epi pen I just usually break out in hives for a few hours and then I'm fine and typically it's more peanuts than other nuts anyway but working in a restaurant you really should be aware of what is in your foods that way someone doesn't have a bad reaction.

If you're planning a Saturday or Sunday visit you definitely want to make a reservation! Based off my first visit I would have give this place 4 stars. The drinks are delicious, the food is incredible with good portions, and everything of course looks great visually as well. The main con the first visit was that service was extremely slow and there was a drink ordered that was completely forgotten about, however they were clearly short staffed and when we did have service she was very apologetic and friendly and comped the beverage so we had no complaints. We went back this month for my birthday and while everything we did have was once again delicious, they were out of a decent portion of the menu. Off the top of my head they were out of all flavors of deviled eggs, pulled pork, tuna for the poke stack and poke bowl, risotto balls, some wines, and a couple other things I don't recall. The first couple times the waitress said something we wanted was out we didn't mind and pivoted, especially since she said those were the only items they were out of. However, it quickly became evident that was not the case. She said the reason was it was Sunday and they are only open Thursday-Sunday so they often run out of stock during the Sunday rush. Like I said earlier, the last time I was there on a Sunday there was no issue with items being unavailable, and I feel like if this is a recurring issue maybe that's something that should be looked at when ordering for the week? But I also am not in the restaurant business so who knows maybe this isn't that unusual. It was just a bummer to go for my birthday excited to try certain things, only to ultimately end up with a chicken Caesar salad (which was still good though!). There were still pros with this recent visit, again everything looked and tasted great and the service was friendly and much quicker than the previous visit. The mimosa flights are fun and there's a ton of flavors to choose from. We got a seasonal peach toast appetizer to share and it was so good. I look forward to coming back soon to give it another shot and will update once I do!

Staff was super friendly, went out of their way to make sure the tables were tidy, and refilled drinks really quick. The restaurant is smaller than you expect it to be, but it is cozy, friendly, and not overly loud. We only had a 10 minute wait when we arrived and they were packed. Our waiter Kyle was on point, introduced himself and dropped the special of the day with gusto. If I hadn't already had a ton of carbs for the day I would have gone with it. Ended up ordering the scallops, and fried zucchini appetizers. Scallops are served almost like a soup. The sauce in the bowl was to die for. I'm thinking white wine, and lemon were the major components. It was phenomenal. Fried zucchini was super tasty and is coming home with us. I'd swear it was enough to feed 4 people. For mains, we ordered pot roast and fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Wife loved the pasta and chicken. Surprisingly enough she ate it all, none to go which is super rare for her. Pot roast was fantastic. Mashed potatoes were on point, the mixed vegetables were amazing. While I typically avoid paying premium prices for coffee, I decided to treat myself and finally give this location a try. Upon entering, I was greeted by a pleasant atmosphere and placed an order for three iced coffees, which I stated clearly. When my order was delivered, two of the drinks were iced, while one was served hot. I calmly and politely mentioned that all three were supposed to be iced coffees. At that point, I overheard an employee respond in the background with an attitude, stating that I had ordered the drink hot. I fully understand that mistakes can happen--orders can be entered incorrectly, and errors are part of any service environment. However, my concern lies with the dismissive attitude and the decision to challenge the customer's request in front of them. This interaction left a poor impression, and as a result, I do not plan to return to this establishment. I will instead continue supporting my usual coffee shops.

The food was just your typical diner type, greasy spoon kind of place. I got an egg white omelette with ham (looked like cut up pieces of thin sliced deli meat) and asked that fresh potatoes be boiled in water or steamed in water due to food allergy. What I got was fried potatoes. When I questioned the server he just said that's how they come. Do they not have raw potatoes in the back they could have boiled for me?? The taste of the omelette was meh and I only ate 4 bites. I obviously didn't eat the potatoes. The English Muffin felt oily, like someone touched it with greasy hands. I had asked for it to be dry and with no butter. So basically I didn't eat any of my food and will not be back (this was my third time here and none of the other experiences were any better.) Such a shame because it is only 5-minutes from my house. My dad ordered the chicken fried steak and my mom got the taco salad and both of their meals were inedible too. The food here is just BAD. I told the server I didn't like my food and he didn't even answer me. He took away three plates of uneaten food and no one asked if there was an issue and no manager bothered to come over to even talk to us or try and make it right. What a HUGE waste of money. Don't bother eating here...so many other places to eat that are so much better. This place was packed and no real waiting area...everyone just squished together. This is a hustling and bustling place, so if you are looking for a quiet spot, at least don't go when we did. Best part of this place is their wall for taking pictures. I think they care more about making things look IG worthy, than the quality of the product they are serving.
