My friend lives alone and before Tania my friend's living situation was out of control. There are no willing family members nearby for my friend to call on and it is nearly impossible for her to manage herself, never mind cleaning, cooking, and looking after her only companion, a small dog. She barely manages to get around her house using alternately a wheelchair and a walker. Housekeeping is beyond her at this point. Not only has Tania done a deep and thorough cleaning of the house, carpeting, (and dog, by the way) she brought in an electric hot-plate to stand in for my friend's non-working stove and also connected her with sources and services to get a replacement . Owing to Tania's initiative, my friend has now been put in touch with a caretaker to interview. Tania's approach to this job has gone far beyond cleaning a house! She took an out-of-control living situation and masterfully transformed the home to a healthy, safe, comfortable environment. It is evident that she approaches her work with heart! He said, while wearing glasses indoors, avoiding eye contact, and speaking sternly, and "I ain't picking up anything until I get payment from the first time." I said, "Are you sure you haven't received it, or can you check to see? We always mail them directly to vendors." He said "I wouldn't be asking if I did." If that was the case, he could have mentioned that he hasn't received payment and can't schedule a pickup until he does. Easy fix. Instead, he wasted both our time. Do yourself a favor - look up another company to call. P.S. I found out that he was in communication with our office a couple days prior to this interaction - where he admitted to moving their office address!
