Best KOA we've stayed at this season. Though you can see the main road as well as Rt40 (only if you look real hard) neither road has any impact on the campground, zero noise. This place is VERY quiet, spacious sites, the WiFi is THE BEST we've ever had in any campground. It appears to be a small family run outfit but they are killing it. Everything is kept up and spotless. They have lots of fun stuff to do including beach volleyball, cornhole, water wars (slingshot operated water balloons), a bouncy pad and so much more. They have a newer section up front with less tree cover (because it's new and the trees are young) but up there they have beautiful patios with furniture and covered dog kennels built into the sites with artistic lighting We have stayed in KOAs all season and this is the best we've seen, there is just nothing negative to say, it's 100% good, highly recommend! read more

It's Memorial Day weekend. Live music playing at the Pavilion, families playing games and children playing in the jungle gym, we were in the pool, and it just feels like a magical camping experience! Never expected it. AND there's a chance of storms tonight, so they made sure we saw the new tornado shelters (so glad they have them!) Real nice people. read more

We stayed here, pretty spur of the moment. When I called to see if they had a spot available, I was able to snag the very last one (on a holiday weekend no less). Dawn helped me with the reservation and went as far as to greet us when we arrived. She even offered to help us with our bags! We stayed in a sweet little spot near the pond. Due to recent rains and a muddy field, the mosquitos were plentiful but our determination to listen to music and have some cocktails was more. The campground is adorable, great for kids but also great for adults who just want to relax and enjoy the scenery. Dawn and her husband were so damn personable and made us feel welcome. Fabulous camp site!! It had a pool, jumping area, water wars (water balloons), laundry area, shower area, several dog areas, and a "paw pen" sites, which is a fenced area on your site for your pups. They also have sites with patios. Friendly staff and extremely accommodating! read more

The park is about 1/2 mile off I-40 so you cannot hear traffic - yeah! The turn for the entrance is right by a car dealership. Fifty-three sites so it's small for a KOA. Check-in was contact-less with a reservation. They texted earlier in the day to let us know to pick up our envelope in the night registration box. They charged our card automatically and emailed a receipt. The interior roads and sites are gravel - sort of. They could use a lot more! It looks like they are creating new sites just before the entrance. I wish they would fix up the existing sites first. It had apparently rained recently, and there was mud everywhere - deep mud. We saw many RVs and vehicles with mud all over the tires. Yuck. Some overhanging branches that you cannot avoid. The sites are close together with a strip of grass and trees which do offer some shade. There are fire pits and tired picnic tables. Our site was just long enough for our 45 foot MH and toad. The sites are narrow but mostly level. Utilities were placed fine, and we had no problems. They also pick up trash at your site. Verizon was4g 2 bars. Satellite would be a problem but they have cable. WII FI was surprisingly good - a first for a KOA. There is some plane noise as there is a nearby airport but it wasn't intrusive; otherwise, very quiet. Excellent customer service! Quick and friendly response whether by phone, text or in person. There was a truck parked directly in front of us that would have hindered us leaving. read more

Another beautiful and tranquil KOA that was w quiet and wonderfully relaxing. Thanks to the very genuine and kind hospitality form the Maust Family, we rented a cute simple cabin right in front of a pond with a fountain that gave peaceful zen vibes throughout our stay. The campgrounds are very grassy and green, well kept, clean bathroom and showers and the AC in our cabin kept us nice and chill in the 93 degree hot and humid weather. Slept like a baby. My dog Charlie loved this site and it's nature filled setting and if we ever venture back this way we will definitely stay again. Absolutely recommend for a peaceful stay. read more

Great campground and friendly staff. Nice campground located easily from the road. We stayed 1 night 5/17/19. Pool was 78 degrees and people were enjoying it. Pool open until 9p. Jacuzzi is open until 10pm. They will cook pizzas and deliver to your rig. Their WiFi is strong! They just upgraded it and it is secure. They say the WiFi is good throughout the entire park! Walmart is down the street along with fast food restaurants. Nice place, we will return when our travels brings us through this way. Good job on making the WiFi good throughout the park. read more

Arrived after a long day of travel. Greeted by two lady's who quickly checked us in and helped us get wood for a campfire. They even delivered it to are cabin. On arrival at cabin we were very impressed by how clean the cabin was. It was well stocked. Had comfortable patio furniture, nice grill and fire pit. The bed was very comfortable. This KOA is fantastic! We had a tent spot reserved for one night on our way through OK, but then there were tornado warnings, flash flood warnings, and severe thunderstorm warnings, so we upgraded to a cabin. The cabin was adorable- lakeside with a porch swing, picnic table, and charcoal grill. It also had A.C. and a T.V.- which was all a nice switch from tent camping. The campground restrooms were the fanciest I've EVER seen at any campground (granite countertops!), and everything was extremely clean. We saw people fishing in the lake, there were kayaks to use, and a nice pool (we were exhausted and didn't use any of that sadly!) I'd definitely stay here again if I was driving through! read more

This little campsite off the I-40 has a pool, little pond for fishing, enclosed dog area, little general store,free pizza delivery and quite a few trail options through a pretty beautiful wooded area. (Check out my tips for the BEST cross-country trip ever! http://travelingfig.com/best-us-two-cross-country-road-trip-itineraries/) A short (but dangerous) mile walk to a clean casino with a full bar/ restaurant and every slot machine imaginable. Drawbacks: The small park we absolutely crammed with RVs, there weren't any fire pits or outdoor grills, the roads and sites were incredibly muddy and the only food available for delivery was pizza or mozzarella sticks. And the mud, of course, brought quite a lot of bugs. All in all, this KOA was surprisingly full service for being smack in the middle of nowhere and functioning just as a stop over for RVs heading along the 40 on their road trips to somewhere else. If it weren't for the noise I would have given this terrific place 5 stars. We heard a train in the middle of the night and a few planes, you're right next to a small airport. However that was the only interference The grounds are immaculate so much to do with brand new bathrooms, honestly the best bathrooms I've ever seen in a campground. Probably the best campground within a 100 miles of itself, especially if you have a family. If you are looking for a traditional wilderness experience I suggest you look elsewhere. Running water and electricity at campsites make everything much more convenient. There are a plethora of things to do, go to their website to see the full list of what this place has to offer. The entire staff is attentive, respectful and want you to genuinely enjoy your stay. Come early to truly experience this wonderful diamond in the rough and to fully immerse yourself in all of its glory. This is a very nice, very superior KOA. There are 2 sections, an old one and a one. We stayed in the new one, concrete site, very open, no obstacles to run into.. Both sections look to be all pull thrus. All utilities worked well. Excellent WIFI. They got rid of the cable TV in favor of good WIFI. Easy in and out of the park. Short easy drive from Route 40. There are a lot of new RVers so I am hoping this park represents a trend: upgraded parks that are very clean, have good WIFI and have wide sites. We don't use swimming pools, hot tubs, exercise rooms, clubhouses, activities, game rooms, fire pits or even the picnic tables and my observation is that 95% of RVers are just couples and don't use any of that. Most RVers have restrooms and showers in their RV. We need a place to stop for the night or a base camp to see places in the area. We aren't looking for a "resort." read more

This KOA is really nice and would definitely stay here again. The cabin was extremely clean and very comfortable bed. Lots of ice shade trees and the grounds were kept nicely. We were worried about having extra parking to unhook our trailer with SxS but there was plenty of extra parking. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We met a couple from California as we were leaving this morning and wished we had exchanged contact information. I love visiting with people on our various trips. We had a really good stay here. The staff were incredibly kind, friendly and helpful, and the grounds are really cute and peaceful. Lots of amenities, shady trees and happy birds. The bathrooms are spotless and the showers are the most spacious we've seen so far! We highly recommend this campground, it is a great value for the price as well. read more

I'm not even sure where to begin with how impressed we were with this KOA. Between Dawn and Kevin the owners and Zachary one if their staff members, we had the best RV park experience to date all for only $31.50. Although the park is by no means fancy, the grounds were not only well maintained, but the facilities (bath/shower and laundry) were immaculate inside as well. The bathrooms and laundry (open 24hrs) were modern and fully operational. The dog walk area and fenced in dog park were both exceptional as well. The grass was cut low and critter free. Which was a huge plus given the country environment and being tucked away in such lush trees. Although Traveling with a big dog can sometimes be tricky, it was anything but tough here. Other pet owners we're also very friendly and all dogs were on leashes as well which is also always nice. Considering I like details on Yelp, I'd like to share a few of the specifics regarding why staying at this KOA was such a great experience: For starters, the park was PLUM full and drawing a lot of energy with so many RV's on day with a heat index of 108 degrees. Seriously they were so full that when we arrived to see they space they assigned us (their last space able to accommodate our size trailer which was a back-in with full hook-ups, that I was convinced we'd never fit. Thankfully Zachary who guided us in assured us that he would do his best to help us safely get parked. Needless to say, he did just that all the while with the most professional and best attitude. He not only helped my husband navigate into the space but went OVER and beyond by helping to remove tree branches that may have potentially scratched or damaged our trailer. I was blown away at this point, but the kindness continued. While in the store a few minutes later, I overheard the owners offer their last two small spaces to an older couple so they didn't have to continue driving after a horrific day of travel. Being sold and an incredibly happy camper at this point, I never imagined they'd be able to make our stay anymore pleasant...but they most certainly did. After being there for a few hours our circuit breaker began popping on and off. Again the park was well at capacity and it was beyond hot and humid out so I can't even imagine how off the charts the demand for elec was. Regardless, After letting them know and being concerned with needing to find another park due to needing AC without generators, Kevin and Zachary immediately came over to replace the entire panel. They not only stayed to fix it until after the office closed...but again in temps with a heat index of 108 humid degrees! All the while with the biggest smiles and the best attitudes. Rather than continue to go on and on about how great our stay was and all of the fantastically friendly folks we met in the one night we stayed, I'll leave with saying if you're traveling through this area, or just want to get out of town to stay somewhere clean, safe, quiet and peaceful, this would be #1 on my list of recommendations. read more

Probably the nicest KOA I have ever been to. Totally recommend this campground. It's too bad it rained most of the day and night. I would have like to enjoyed the gorgeous deck with the grill and the built in fire pit. If I am south again, I will include this spot on my travel plans. This place is the best! Just stayed for the first time and extended an extra day because it was such a great facility. The staff, in particular the owner Kevin is friendly and very accommodating. We ran in to an issue coming in late our first night that involved going down what we thought was a road and getting stuck in mud after a torrential downpour. Kevin answered the phone at almost 11:30 PM, came out and did everything he could to help and assist us for over an hour. When it was decided we would have to wait until the next morning for a tow out, he offered us a cabin for the night. He is exactly the type of host you hope to encounter in the hospitality industry. If I could give Kevin, his staff, and his campground 10 stars, I absolutely would. We will def be back!! read more

This is such a nice place to stay. We stayed 1 night on the way to TN, but would've stayed longer. They have a pool, a catch & release fishing pond, walking trails, rental equipment, a cute store. The people are so friendly & helpful. Our spot was nice w/ great hook-ups (30 amps for a class A). There's plenty of shade & it's quiet. We did our laundry; no problems. Made a reservation online for this location. We arrived really late - 10pm. Checked in at late arrival box and found envelope waiting for us with our site details. The map was very easy to follow and even though it was dark, there were enough streetlights to find our site but not too bright as to bother us once we parked. Beautiful sites, nice mature trees for shade. The bathroom and shower were excellent! Super clean and very nice. Took the dogs to the dog park and let them get rid of some energy! The kids were able to enjoy the playground in the morning for a little bit before we left. I would definitely stay here again and wish we could have stayed here for more than 10 hours! read more

This was our favorite campground so far on our trip. The owners are awesome people who go above and beyond to give great customer service. They were so very helpful and kind. Very friendly. They hosted a flashlight candy hunt on the Saturday night we were there. Our daughter LOVED it! Then, they open the rec room for a movie screening on their big screen TV. They sell Italian Sodas (amazing!) and don't charge so much that you feel guilty for buying one. :-) The bathrooms are great! Granite countertops, gorgeous tile, super clean. Very nice pool with umbrellas for shade. Also they have a fabric sail attached to posts for light shade in the shallow end of the pool. Very thoughtful. They have a nice playground and a few toy trucks in the gravel of the playground for kids to use. They have a sand volleyball court, which was also fun for just playing in the sand. They have a gaga pit, which was like a giant sandbox in the shape of an octagon. It was partially shaded by a nice big tree. They have a fishing pond where my husband taught our daughter to fish. She proudly caught (and released) more than 10 fish. They have a couple of cute cabins and also a couple of beautiful lodges. The lodges look like those tiny houses on HGTV. They are adorable on the outside and beautiful on the inside. A friend stayed in one of them and showed me around. It was very comfortable and very nicely set up. Everyone who works there was kind and helpful. We would definitely stay there again. We stayed there in a motorhome. read more
