I actually think this company, even though small is treating its customers better than a lot of other companies right now. I was unable to locate my receipt for a purchase from last month, and the employee didn't see it in my account but was able to offer in store credit still for my unused return. I don't know how the sales associate could have been less helpful if she tried. No greeting. And not the least bit pleasant. I know they were recently held up, but I didn't do it. They should welcome customers, not ignore them. I'll find somewhere else to shop. read more

This Sally's is relatively small compared to the one I used to patronize, but due to convenience I find myself going here instead of where I should be going - Jan's Beauty Supply. It's a typical Sally's - nails, skin and hair products, relatively well priced and well stocked. Not terribly professional, not terribly helpful, but hopefully if you're going to a beauty supply store (and not just getting your products in a department or drug store) you have some idea of what you're doing with the products available. read more

Horrific, RUDE, and straight up clueless "customer service." I've been here many many times over the past 5-6 years or so and have walked in on some really unprofessional practices. If you're going to berate your employee for the cash register being short, you might want to close the door to the back office so I can't hear your entire conversation. I only come here to buy lashes. If Target had a bigger selection, I'd go there and avoid this place completely, but until that happens I guess I am stuck making my occasional trips to this awful location. I try to buy a lot at once so I don't have to come in too often. They really need to update their computer system too because it is just ridiculous that it's 2011 and the employees have to key-in the code for each item. And having to run my debit card as credit is kind-of annoying as well. God. This place just sucks, but luckily for them, I need my lashes, so they get my business. read more

Whenever I go in, I'm pretty scruffy because I'm about to do a treatment on my hair. A lot of shoppers at the beauty supply are like that. Whenever I go in, the lady behind the counter follows my down the aisle and pretends to be straightening product boxes like she thinks I'm going to steal. It's insulting. SUCK does not cover it. I purchased a curling iron there and 62 days later it snapped in half almost burning me. Luckily, I had my receipt and the original packaging. Yes. I read the back of the receipt. It is a 60 day return policy. But this was clearly a faulty product and it could have hurt me. NEVER at any time did anyone say, "Oh gosh, I'm sorry that happened to you." "Oh dear, are you OK?" "We are so sorry. Can you tell us what happened?" They were COMPLETELY uncaring about how or why or even what. They just looked at the date and said, "Oh, we can't take this back". Really? Did you hear me demand my $ back? That isn't even what I wanted. I simply wanted a curling iron that worked. Customer service IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE. It starts with just listening to what I am saying. Here is the part that kills me. After telling me no, she decides to get on the phone to the manager. I do not have the energy to explain the ridiculous one sided conversation that I heard. When she finally hung up, she said "OK. We will do this for you, just this ONE time, but in the future, we don't do returns over 60 days." Oh really? That's SUPER, you customer service all-star! You ARE absolutely correct about that, this is the ONE time you will do this for me. In the future, I will walk across the parking lot to Target and get myself a curling iron. I did check, and they only had two less options than Sally Beauty, AND they were roughly the same price if not less expensive. read more

Wow. What a horrible experience I had here! Now, it's Sally's Beauty Supply so I wasn't expecting STELLAR customer service or anything, but I was absolutely floored at just how horrible it was! When I walked in a woman who I assumed was a manager was berating a sales associate for out-of-place hair color. She was reprimanding her harshly and LOUDLY and didn't acknowledge my entrance even though when I walked in they were standing right in front of me. I needed help so I gave them a couple of minutes and then interrupted with a polite "excuse me". They both flashed me a "how DARE you interrupt!" look, but I continued - after all, it's their job to help! I asked if they carried a particular product. The "manager" said yes and I waited for her to walk me to the product as any good customer service employee would do. Instead she widened her eyes at me and pointed to the next aisle over while saying "go ahead...walk over there..I'll point out the way"...she proceeded to shout to me over the wall of product that was between us "right next to the nexxus! do you see it there! there!" I was so appalled I turned on my heel and walked out the door. They didn't even bother to say good bye. read more

Great customer service and prices. I had gone to a different beauty supply place in the neighborhood, asking how to lighten my very dark hair. They told me to have it done professionally. When I went to this store, I got detailed directions, excellent advice, and she even wrote down the information for me, so I wouldn't forget all of the specifics. I did as she told me and I'm thrilled with the results. The prices at this store are also much more reasonable than the one I used to go to. Sally has a new customer! read more

I don't know if they've had a staff change since the other reviews, but I had an *excellent* experience with the staff at this location. They were super helpful (unlike the Sally's staff on 3rd in downtown Seattle), got me everything I needed and even helped me save a bit of money. read more

Came here visiting from California because I forgot my hair clip back home. My husband & I pulled up to the store & we see two women smoking by the door, my husband thought they were homeless people, but they were actually the employees. We walked up to the door & one of the women said "we'll be right in." I walked around the store first until I found what I was looking for, yet the employees still hasn't been in & they were still smoking their cigarettes. My husband & I were alone in the store & honestly I could've just walked out with the hair clip & the employees wouldn't have noticed because they were so caught up in smoking & gossiping (we could hear their conversation). Since I knew better than that I decided to wait, up until this point it's already been 6-8 minutes of being alone in the store, but another customer walked in & thats when the employees came back in. They smelled like cigarettes & they still continued their gossip drama for everyone to hear. I finally paid & then left. Ultimately, the ladies left a bad impression for this store. By being outside for so long i could've just stolen the hair clip & save $8. Plus the smell of cigarettes is so disgusting & their drama really put me off. I love shopping at Sally's but this location sucks! read more

I was treated horribly by someone named Monica who told me to leave the store after I was telling Anita, the manager there, about horrible treatment I received by someone at another store who was calling me names and discriminating against me for being Native American. In tears, I was telling her the story. Then, i got ganged up on my people behind me, a woman in the store with another woman, and they started yelling at me for no reason, and when I asked them to leave me alone, Anita and Monica did nothing. Then, Monica came over to the door and said it was time for me to leave. I could not believe it. I told her that I was the one being attacked in the store, and she showed me the door. She said, "We do not need confrontation" but I was not the one confronting anyone. I was horrified. The woman behind me was mentally disturbed and kept bothering me and abusing me. I WAS AND AM THE VICTIM in the situation. I could NOT BELIEVE this. I was humiliated. I have already reported them to the Better Business Bureau. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I came into Sally the weekend before my wedding to see if I could find some clip in hair extensions to use for this one occasion. The employees working were even more unknowledgeable than I am, so I should've walked out right then but I didn't. I finally not-so-confidently decided on a product to purchase and realized later that evening (after they had closed) that it was not the right product for me. I came in the following day, only to be told by those same employees that hair is not returnable or exchangeable. Had I been informed of this policy or seen signs in the hair section indicating the policy, I would have been much more hesitant to make a purchase. I understand this policy; what I don't understand is the employees' complete lack of willingness to provide this information or make sure the customer is aware of the policy while ringing them up - even grocery stores let you know bags are 5 cents before charging you. I feel taken advantage of and misled, and I am extremely disappointed in the mediocre (at best) customer service. read more

I cannot believe how bad the customer service is at this store. I was just treated so poorly by the lazy lady behind the counter. Every time I asked for help, she was so rude and unhelpful. She kept brushing me off and ignoring me, as if she just wanted me to go away. I called back to speak to the manager to complain and was informed that the rude, impolite, and unhelpful lady behind the counter was in fact the manager. Costumer service is def. a hit and miss. I've been shopping here for years now and I have to say today was my worst experience! Employees did not acknowledge any costumers what so ever. They did not greet anyone and instead of feeling welcomed I felt like a burden. Come to find out the feeling of being a burden was accurate only bc they weren't knowledgeable of any of their products. I asked for wax strips and she didn't say a word yet she pointed with her finger to direct me to the isle where the strips were and of course it was the wrong isle. I wasn't asked if I needed any help. I overheard another customer ask one of the employees for help and they had no idea of what she was asking for and suggested she went to another store in the southend. Mind u it was a "shower-cap". Employees def avoided the customers. Overall I've had good times here where different employees were very welcoming and helpful but today was NOT one of those days and I won't be going there unless I absolutely have to smh. read more
