Purchased a trimmer from this location, which did not work immediately out of the box. Took it back to the store with the box box intact and the manager refused to issue a refund. She said that because I opened the box, the item could not be returned. I simply can't think of a different way of finding out whether or not something works than to open the box and try it. Instead, she told me to take it up with the manufacturer. Honestly, this is pretty poor customer service and a ridiculous return policy. Good prices when you buy the Sally's Card, if you buy more than a few products a year it's worth the $5. A WAY cheaper place to buy hair dye, much better than the drugstore stuff. That being said, you must know what you need or the ladies will hem and haw about "I think it will make it the right color" and taking advice from someone that has a wacked out dye job is hard! That being said, I love the little nail polishes for presents for younger girls, they've had all the new nail things I've heard about and now covet (glass nail files and Seche Vite quick dry top coat will change the way you look at home manicures!). A good price, small store, but most Sally's aren't very big anyway. read more

Their sales are fairly decent, and the product line can span from .99 cents nail polish to high end cutting shears. I purchased punky colour, colour off and once I tested it it smells like bleach felt like bleach look like bleach. So I instantly rinsed it off so I called to verify if it is bleach. The girl over the phone on August 18 during closing shift confirmed that there was no bleach at all, I compared it to oops color remove it and she said that this one is less damaging. I then said I still don't trust the product cause it really smells like bleach and she said well you could have read the box no need for no patronizing comments from an employee. So I called punky colour and guess what it is bleach based. I tried to prevent this happening to someone else that might not catch it since she didn't allow that I am reviewing your location and I have reached out to corporate. The point of this is for you guys not to ruin someone's hair just because you hire people who cannot take constructive feedback. read more

Friendly staff, but they didn't have what I was looking for, so I was in and out of there.

I'm actually standing here at the register. The young girl Gissele was not very friendly to begin with. Then another girl took over Marly was more efficient, but she really didn't have a friendly attitude either. They really don't care about their own promotion signs. Or maybe they just don't know they even have a promotion sign up! I like this store but quite frankly these two young girls need to have a better attitude when dealing with customers. read more

I use to come here all the time now I only go in here once in a while and the service still sucks! I swear the manager older lady is weird asf and when you walk in she like follows you going down the aisles like if your going to steal, it makes it very awkward to shop here! The customer service sucks too they don't smile or anything looks like their miserable working there or something. It's like you only have to be Hispanic to not get followed In there and Watched over in there. Me + beauty products = happy dance I love Sally's & visit religiously. They have a cute lil store with the nicest girls working there & it's filled to the brim with everything beauty. Sally's carries everything from head to toe literally...shampoo/conditioners, lotions, self tanners, makeup, hair accessories, nail polish, nail stickers and rhinestones, hair dye, hot tools, a ton of nail files, pumice stones, etc. I must confess that they have the MOST AMAZING selection of eyelashes EVER!!! I know most guys won't appreciate this & some girls but I for one can't get enough of 'em. And Sally's is an eyelash heaven!! read more

I love Sally's. This store in particular is clean and well stocked. I have been there many many times. I do love their nail polish selection. I CAN NOT get enough nail polish. They also have great decals for the nails. I also so buy my purple hair extensions there. The brand that they carry is a great one. The hair is so soft. The color lasts a decent amount of time. But I DO NOT care for them in the way they are intended to be cared for. I bet if I did the color would last even longer. The staff there is friendly. They have taken the time to help me if I need it. I am a slow shopper there. I always walk out with more than needed. BUT everything bought will be used and used fast. It is a GREAT place if you want to start doing your own beautification. I save more $$$ by shopping here, getting advice on products, and a little help on how cretin products work. Went in today to find some items I had planned on purchasing on Amazon...I'm so glad I waited to check out Sally's ...not only did I find all I was going to purchase online... I got more items & still ended up spending $15 less that what I had expected. The lady that greeted me and also did my transaction was super nice & helpful. I will be a returning customer. read more

If you know what your going in for its good. I went in today and felt overwhelmed with one of the employees standing near watching everything I looked at( variety of extensions to look at what can I say), very uncomfortable to be at a store when employees are watching you like a hawk! read more

I don't know why anyone would love this place. I have had two terrible experiences there. I purchased a $70.00 flat iron, took it home, plugged it in the the switch was defective. I returned to the store and spoke to the same clerk to do an even exchange. Even though she remembered me, I had to return home to get the original receipt to do the exchange. I exchanged for the same item. I mentioned it did not look like new packaging. The clerk assured me of course it was new. Upon trying it at home it was obviously a used item. The cord was not packaged correctly and the switch was broken. When returning this item, the clerk denied it was used when it obviously was! The product came from China to Mexico and then to the United States. I will never buy another product in this store, and will now buy Made in the U.S! read more

Wouldn't even give this place a star, it's ran by low life people who have no customer service. I have bought three blow dryers in the last 6 months Keep in mind they are over 40.00 blow dryers. I begged the manufacturer to please send me out a replacement for the second dryer. I lost reciept it's my fault... So tired of waiting for them I needed a blow dryer asap I went back to Sally's here in Gilroy ca, and I bought another one. I had a manger tape the reciept on box... It was past the 60 days but sure enough there piece of crap blow dryer stopped working. I called again to see what my best option was and they told me to explain the situation to them and they would replace item or return money. Its pretty crappy to be told to go back where you bought it and they will help. So I drive 30 min away to get a rude women telling me to call and wouldn't even give me a replacement. This place is dirty... and crappy merchandise. Will never ever go to this store again. On top of it my mother bought hair dye that WAS old and turned her hair an awful color. Bad place. read more

I have pink hair, I usually get it done professionally, but provided my own color and supplies, since I'm picky on how it looks. So I avoid beauty chain stores since they give false stories on their color. (I get my color from the UK) But the ladies who worked at the Sally's in gilroy did not play miss-know-it-all and gave me the space and time I needed to shop around and try something new. How refreshing! I went to a handful of stores in the San Jose area and figure if the little beauty-supply shops are run by dicks, how is the big chain's going to treat me? These chicks were totally awesome and didn't mind that was asking 3243242 questions and I ended up buying twice than what I had in mind. I even went ahead and got a sally's card since I figure I would be back soon! PS - They have this awesome Sally's brand plastic curlers that really worked with my hair. Just left this store without purchasing a thing which is unfortunate. The young girl that was working needs a crash course on customer service. I went in to purchase hair color, and the brand I wanted just happened to be Buy 2 get 1 Free. There was a sign stating that promotion directly under the Developer, and another directly under the hair color. When I went to the front, the girl working told me that the Developer did not qualify for that promotion. So I had her follow me to the aisle and showed her the sign directly under the Developer. She continued to tell me that the Developer does not qualify for that promotion (even though the sign clearly stated that it did). I asked what item that sign was supposed to be for. She then told me it's meant for the shampoo...on the next aisle. I told her that was false advertisement, and she asked if there was anything else I needed. So I put down the items I was going to purchase and walked out. Very unfortunate that she was willing to lose a customer over a $2.99 item. read more
