The laceration went through my forehead and across each layer to the bone. The ER stitched me up, and it just didn't look right. There was no way I could leave it in the condition it was in. The following Saturday morning my boyfriend made a call to Dr Matthews after being referred by a close family doctor. Dr Matthews went out of his way to come in on a Saturday. He was very kind and understanding. He treated the appointment like any other appointment- turned on music, patiently re-stitched the large laceration, was very professional and had a great conversation with my boyfriend and I. Dr Matthews came in when it was not planned to help a complete stranger out. He made me feel very welcomed and I immediately trusted him. He did phenomenal work on the stitching of my laceration.
