I decided to color my hair back to its natural black. I didn't want to use a color remover to strip the color, instead just layer on top. I was greeted and helped by Ms. Jasmin. We had a nice little laugh at the end of the purchase that we'd been talking for mins and had the same name. Anywho.. Jasmin was very helpful with recommending products & techniques to ensure the natural color I was looking for was able to be achieved and avoid color bleeding. I settled on a couple of boxes of clairol, pre-treatment 10 volume developer, and color sealer. All which I have used to some extent before so easy to follow. All in all, this has been one of the more pleasant sally locations I've visited. I really needed some hair supplies and after going to a couple of the big box stores, I really couldn't find what I was looking for. I totally forgot Sally's even existed, and haven't been to one in many moons. I was on this side of town and saw it out of the corner of my eye while driving down Stephanie. I quickly whipped my truck around and pulled in. The staff was excellent! One associate came over and walked me through products and made suggestions based on my needs. She was very friendly, welcoming, and enthusiastic to help me. The store was well organized and stocked, bright, clean, and smelled fresh. Went in there today with my wife to make a purchase. I needed assistance from the sales staff, and we were completely ignored. They were at the register, talking with each other, looked at us and continue talking. We waited a few minutes and decided to leave. Nobody bothered to say may I help you or even just a moment please and will be right with you . We were completely completely ignored like we were invisible. I have visited this location many times and they are one of the friendliest Sally Beauty Supply's that I have entered. The associates are ready to help and willing to provide details on the products. They are very informative of the current sales, and display's the sale items in a creative way. Initially, I came to buy nail polish, then I found myself in the shampoo and conditioner area. One of the ladies there helped me find the right product for my hair. At first she suggested for me to buy a sample. In result, I was so happy with the product that I came back to purchase the full product. After observing their actions with other customers, I learned that they are honest and genuine when selling the products. If they did not know or experience first hand a product, they made it known to the customer rather than pushing the product to buy by lying. However, one thing that was disappointing is how close the cash registers are to the entrance. When it becomes busy, the little place often becomes crowded and if you are entering it is hectic to find your way through. read more

Never walked into a Sally Beauty Supply until today. I originally wanted to buy the SalonCare 50 Volume Creme and didn't know you needed a license to purchase it until I brought it up to the counter, lol. The lady was nice enough to let me know that I was able to buy the 40 Volume Creme instead, since I did not have a license to purchase the 50, and it still worked really well. I bought it mainly to whiten the soles of my shoes and it worked surprisingly really great. This shop was clean, staff were super nice, and definitely will come here again. It's been a few years since I had visited any Sally beauty store. Store was clean, items were stocked and the lady helping me was very nice and helpful. I signed up for their program out of pure pressure from the agent. The upselling is fierce at these stores now and although I bought more than what I came to buy. The pressure of the agent upselling incessantly is what caused my first and last purchase at this store. I want to come to a store browse , shop and buy stuff I don't need but I don't want to feel pressure and over whelmed. Ive been to sally's across the way in many states, TX, CA, NV, etc. but let me just say this one has one employee that is certainly doing them a disservice. I dont know her name and not an attack on her but I was in the store trying to return an item and it took her 10 min. to not do it - someone had to take over b/c she was doing it wrong. Subsequently while she was standing there - a gentleman came up to her and asked - where can I find "xyz item" and she directed him to walmart or target. . the manager (i suppose she was a manager b/c she was going around putting out all the fires herself whilel she was trying to leave for the day or lunch) said no, actually those are on sale this week and are listed in our weekly flyer. wow. why are you here? there are 14.2 % unemployed people in Las Vegas who desperately need a job and you have this one that isnt interested in helping the customers or learning her job or inventory. How can you help us if you dont know what your own store carries? I will definitely start going to the Sally's on Trop & Boulder and avoid this location - sadly b/c this one is closer to me. or maybe I'll just avoid that time of day - and hope she isnt in the store when I go? For the love of god please just do not ask or take any advice from the employees here when it comes to dying your hair. I'm no professional but I have experience, I've been doing my own hair as well as friends/family for 11 years. I've done platinum blonde on myself as well as blue, reds, pinks, purples, silver. I'm originally from California and my local Sally's was always AMAZING the advice I was given and the recommendations I was given were always spot on. I never had a hair fail. Fast forward to now, I've been living in Vegas for almost 5 years now and this location happens to be my local Sally's. When I tell you that EVERY SINGLE TIME I've gone here and ask for advice to achieve a certain look I was (even looks I've done before but can't exactly remember what I used) they've always steered me in the wrong direction. It's been maybe 4 times that their advice has turned into complete failure. It always different employees too. One time I had to return what I was told to get because I did more digging into the product as I was nervous about using it and good thing I did because that product would've fried my hair off. Even the girl who was there and did my return told me that product would've fried my hair off. This time I went in and showed the girl a picture of that I wanted. I asked for help finding the exact shade I wanted. After I went home and did my hair the color is no where near what I showed her, I knew I should've just stuck with the one I had originally grabbed but I have the habit of second guessing myself and took her recommendation instead. Two days in a row this store has given me false information because their employees lack training and/or just tell people what they want to hear. I'd like to warn other shoppers about making purchases here so they don't go through what I'm going through. I was unaware you couldn't return fake hair (I purchased a DWTS clip in). No one told me this. Upon returning it, the employees said the woman who sold it to me was new. I didn't think that was an excuse so she shouldn't be alone at the register if she doesn't know what to say yet. It was an expensive piece in their line at $25. I was directed to call customer service and was told they'd definitely sort it out for me as they aren't authorized to do returns in the store. This sounds like malarkey to me. What kind of business model doesn't allow their own employees to do returns? Customer service failed to give me my return so now I'm stuck with something I don't like and with wasted money. Customer service here is nonexistent. I came in looking for something and she didn't even know what I was talking about. I thought they trained their beauty advisors to know about products in the store she asked a coworker and they didn't have a clue either. I asked for other suggestions and they also didn't have a clue about that. This location has bad customer service they never have what I need in stock and I will not be returning to this location and no I do not recommend this location at all. Charged me a nail filer when i didnt purchase it It wasn't even the price but why charge someone extra? And not give them the item. I will go to a different Sallys from now on. Do not shop in this store if you're a male. My boyfriend and I (two gay men) were constantly stalked by the employees, and were under false accusations of stealing both times we shopped there this past week. My boyfriend got a gift card for Christmas and just wanted to enjoy his shopping experience but it was extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant for us. I came into the salon to purchase some items. Since I work from home, it's nice just to get out. I'm usually really social but this time: I truly wanted to shop and be left alone. I realize in retrospect I looks suspicious because I have a large Kate Spade purse. Don't worry, this is a good review because I've worked in retail and I suspect that they assumed I either needed help because I was browsing for 1 hour or I might of looked suspicious due to my large purse. When I walked in I was greeted and went straight too the eyelash are where I was figuring out how magnetic eyeliner worked. Nick explained to me how they worked. Stated that I woul le have to buy the magnetic eyeliner for it to work. And then when he found a cheaper option for me he went over and informed me of it. I was also walking around and was looking for a mask for my hair he then recommended me sauce he said that he used it on a daily and it really shows. I came here looking for over the top fake lashes and glittery, gaudy make up for the CeeLo show. At first the girl at the counter was polite enough, but didn't really inquire if I needed help. When I spotted fake lashes with pink strips in them I lunged to grab them as they were exactly what I was looking for. This prompted a conversation between the clerk and I and she ended up directing me toward exactly what I needed. She was very helpful and gave me suggestions on items I needed that would be probably the cheapest as well, since they were items I would rarely use. Glitter eye liner, pigmented pink shadow, eyelash glue and a lip color. She applied my Sally's member coupon even without me having kept the previous receipt. Sometimes, for some unknown reason, I do really stupid things. Yesterday, for example, I tried to put my own extensions in. This is not smart. Instead of the end result being long, luscious locks, I ended up with a mess of glue and frizz that I couldn't get out. So I headed to Sally's. I couldn't even get a hat on my head because it was that bad, and it hurt like hell. I got there, and I assume the girl behind the counter had seen this kind of thing before, but I offered a step by step list of what I had done anyway. Instead of laughing and slapping me in the face, she told me exactly what to do, and how to do it. She even gathered up all of the things I would need so I wouldn't have to search. It worked, and I am back to my old (hopefully wiser) self. Thanks to Sally's I didn't have to pull a Britney Spears, and I am thankful! read more

I went to buy two products from Sally's Beauty and spoke to a staff on Jul 27, 2020. I told her I wanted to cover up the greys and at the same time to keep almost same color but a not to be black color. She said to get a 2n Darket Brown to use the whole bottle and whole developer till I asked a beauty salon to confirm. I finally went to color my hair and did what I was told but noticed it darkened my hair not what I expected. I called up Sally's and spoke to store asst mgr to let her know what happened and she said next time I"m in maybe if it doesn't lighten it, to get 4n Brown or something which when I was told by asst mgr if I want to treat it now with Head and Shoulder took her's one week to show the difference that where I bought my Head and Shoulder acted like she knew more about hair coloring then the girl I spoke to on Jul 27, 2020. Wished I never did this. Had ended up going out in heat walking to do this. I like my refund because I don't tend to go back redye it the right way when it's already been treated by color and my hair is thinning which I've been trying to treat earlier. read more

Service was excellent! I was helped by a woman named Dayna. The store itself was rather small so finding things was very easy, but be careful if they're too many people it can get quite cramped. Despite this my experience was very positive. I had just gotten a quote for a color strip at the salon for over $200 dollars but with Dayna's help and instruction I was able to do it at home in just under $70. She got me all the products I needed and she took her time explaining and getting me as many discounts as she could. In the end she even saved me around $40! At checkout she took her time explaining to me each step and exactly what I needed to do with each product as well as weekly treatments. Overall my experience was wonderful and I highly recommend talking to Dayna when she is on the clock. read more

I honesty usually order my hair products from their website but I was in immediate need of conditioner and could not wait on shipping. Sally's selection is great, the store is well organized and hardly ever crowded. Parking not too bad. But the customer service is quite a different story. Two young girls with their employee Sally's uniform were outside smoking ( break time im guessing) and seemed a little bit upset when I pulled up and walked towards the entrance. Though I did not need their assistance, I was ignored and was not even greeted. Mind you no one else was in the store. They stood by the register waiting for me to get my items. When I checked out, I said hello and the girl said yea hi. After ringing me up I said I have a coupon and my beauty card. She huffed and scanned them. Once I completed my purchase and walked out the door, they followed. When I drove away, they were outside smoking. Overall go there to get a good selection of hair care products not for decent customer service, you won't find that here. read more

By far the worst customer service. I've never been offended by employees at this store and I've been a recurring customer and member for 2 years. I am a 21 year old male and was with my partner at this Sally's crouched down in an aisle looking at foot scrubs. We were opening them and squeezing them lightly to figure if we liked the scent. An employee approached us and rudely informed us that sampling products was technically stealing and that she will have us kicked out. Firstly, how do you sample foot scrub? I was not using it on my feet, nor was I secreting the product at all. The employee then proceeded to go into the back of the store to make more rude comments about how they were going to throw us out. My partner and I just grabbed whatever foot scrub we wanted and proceeded to check out. The cashier woman was very nice and apologized for their rude behavior. I understand it may have been wrong to smell the product I suppose, but she could have informed me in a nicely manner. God forbid I take a whiff of the precious $3 foot scrub I bought. This isn't the first time this has occurred at this location. I'll be going to a different Sally's from now on, sadly though this one is closer to me. read more
