I have been here before, and I like that the staff is not always bothering you while browsing, but I ordered from their 2 hour free delivery with a $35+ purchase promo today, and was highly impressed. I made an order and it came 45 min later from this location. The delivery person had to call 3 times because I didn't recognize the number, so they made sure I received it. I needed a few items and since I saw their 2 hour delivery, I figured why not try it out? I think this process is great and I definitely recommend it over Amazon. I received most of what I was looking for, not everything was in stock, and although the items are a bit smaller when you're not in the store to check them out, it saved me the unnecessary trip there and back. read more

It's Wednesday afternoon 5/19 around 12 noon and I show up to grab a couple of things and door is locked. Lights are on and hours are clearly posted that they should be open. UPS delivery arrives and knocks on glass and older woman comes to door says thanks to the UPS driver and tells me, "Sorry, we're closed." No other explanation, like please come back in an hour or tomorrow, just we're closed. Unprofessional. I'm surprised they can stay open. I'll be going to Boston Beauty or Salon Centric wirh my business from now on. read more

Sally has great products, that's not in question here. I shop at the Seabrook location all the time - the Seabrook store has great service and I love the Ion products in particular. This was my first time in the Peabody location - and definitely my last. The 2 young women working were deep in conversation when I walked in and seemed immediately annoyed that they had been interrupted by a customer (I the only one in the store btw.) I wandered around trying to find what I wanted without either asking if I needed any help. When I had a question about a product, I carried it to the front of the store - had to wait for them to pause their conversation - and then got a condescending reply as if I should have known what number developer I needed even though it wasn't written on the package of hair color. When I was ready to check out, I placed my items at the uncluttered register (the one NOT being blocked by a carriage full of messy merchandise) and was instantly told to move to the next register. Is it really so hard to say "hello" and "thank you" or to, GOS FORBID, force a smile? We live in a world full of such apathy - especially, it seems, in retail and customer facing positions, that I try to do as much online as possible. How sad. I've written this before but I will write it again... If you don't like your job, do something else; if "something else" isn't an option, then at least have enough professionalism to FAKE IT. read more

Passed 3-4 years I've gone to so many beauty salons, have spent so much dollars to be able to fix the color of my hair with out a good result. I have gone to many other Sally's locations with out getting the right answer. I walked in this location, the girls are usually in the back if they are not ringing anyone up. I told the younger girl I needed help to fix my hair. She asked what had happened and I told her that how the color had gone bad and it had turned my hair black. I actually had all the boxes of colors I had used and it had not worked. She said the only way to fix my hair color was to lift it. For once I had a young woman that actually didn't give me a gallon of bleach and tell me use this to turn your hair white first and then put color on. Yes I had been told this in many other Sally's stores and I had become afraid of this process. She gave me all I needed, told me step by step and all under $16.00 dollars. I even called her from home and she reassured me I was doing right. Wouldn't you know after over 3 years of having a bad hair day, I love the way my hair turned out. This place is horrible. I tried to run to return a flatiron that did not work. I did not have my receipt and the cashier working front desk told me that the manager wasn't in so there was nothing she could do. So we have me the number to call customer service. When I called customer service she informed me that all I needed was the transaction information so she can process the return this is why she'd told me me to call customer service. I told the woman over the phone that I didn't understand why the cashier at the physical store couldn't call you directly and help me with this and gotten my transaction information.?? This store is completely unhelpful, there are some good Sally's and bad silly this is a bad one. The staff clearly does not care about their customers that actually help them get paid. The cashier also had a little snarky remark about how I need to remember to keep my receipt and how it wasn't her fault that I threw it away. I know for a fact that every store has some type of return policy without a receipt, because this day and age with digital technology who keeps the paper? Now I have to make another run to return this item that does not work, and I am very very very unhappy read more

The staff here are terrible. The 2 main people that are there when I go in are a 25-ish young lady with bleach blond hair who seems stoned whenever I go in, and an older 50-ish woman who has the most unpleasant attitude, and no desire to exert even the littlest extra effort to be of assistance. The last time I was there searching for my color, I could hear the older woman in the back room, on the phone, sobbing to someone about her marriage being over. They routinely leave the front of the store un-supervised, until the finally peek out from the back and see you standing at the counter. I think from now on I'm going to make the trip to the store in Gloucester. The gals there are lovely, polite, and welcoming. read more

Horrible horrible staff!! They always have an attitude!! I see all the other reviews and I wonder who runs this place! Where is the manager? The products I get every time are not cheap. I pay $50 for shampoo and conditioner. I don't give them a hard time( to explain their behavior), I don't ask questions because I buy the same products every time.But when they have an offer ohhh boy good luck. Went in because I wanted to dye my hair a dark blue but was unsure of any hair products because I've never dyed my hair before. Looking at the products an employee asked if she could help me and I told her what I wanted and she pulled a product out and told me how to use it and after telling her I didn't want that because it was a ​permanent​ dye, she got an attitude because I didn't accept her recommendation. I asked more questions and told her I just wanted semi-permanent​ and she told me I wanted permanent and told me I should "just go home now" if I didn't know what I was doing with my hair. I don't get affected by rude people very often but this woman's attitude lead me to never want to go back to this store. read more

I asked one of the sales associates for help finding developer because they seemed to be out of stock on the shelf. She told me to go ask the other associates in the back who were unpacking new inventory. I asked those associates about it and they told me they had run out. Which happens but I also wanted some advice about picking a lighter color red for my hair, the associate said "color doesn't lift color", when I tried to ask a little more about it she repeated "color doesn't lift color." She was very abrupt with me and didn't seem willing to have a conversation with me. I left the store without purchasing anything. I won't be returning to this Sally's. read more

I walked in this store it was very organized and clean. I actually needed some help looking for a shampoo & conditioner and i asked a older lady that works there i didn't get her name because she did not have a badge. She completely ignored my question gave me attitude told me to wait, mind you she was not helping anyone else she actually wasn't doing anything she was just standing around.. This was Extremely rude and thankfully the other worker Jackie ended up helping me. read more

Definitely horrible with service from the staff! The lady in front of me in line was trying to figure something out and the lady helping her was rolling her eyes like as if the lady she was helping should of known. Have been shopping there for 2-3 years. Have always found the staff extremely helpful, educated and informative. Have had to make 2 returns with no hassle what so ever. Have been helpful with coloring needs and nail products. Have also witnessed staff handling difficult customers with great tact. read more
