This location has great customer service and very knowledgeable staff. The lady that helped me had awesome two toned hair and she took the time to explain a bunch of hair serums for me. The one she recommended is the one I ended getting. I usually only go to this location because they take the time to take me down an aisle to point things out. I love the deals they have here and the rewards I get because I have a Sally's Credit card. The location is clean and organized. Prices online are different from the store, we are paying shipping costs, in the receipt we don't see shipping costs, only tax fee. I asked the lady from the store about the price, she told me that the price is different because you have to pay shipping, my question is it legal or illegal to do that? If we buy anything from Walmart or others store they don't change the price, they add only the tax fee . Of course, we get charge for shipping, if you buy online.... Is it legal to charge extra fees (shipping)? They should show shipping fees???? read more

I live close by and go to this location pretty often. Always when I'm here I have a problem with them. FIRST was when I showed them trimmers that were on sale on THEIR website, they do not honor. They stated that's an online price only! Which it does not state, like most place do "online price only"! SECOND I had a coworker just recently go there and ask if they price match, however they do but only flyers. They gave her the discount but when I go there, I ask, "do you honor price matching" she said yes they do. I gave her the price but she said the lowest she can go is $90 when the discount on the flyer is $79 ( which they honored my friend discount.) I then go to the Sallys in Upland (the only Sally's I will go to now) they priced matched it for me no problem. I will be contacting corporate. This is unacceptable. read more

I agree with Stacy J. I saw some things today that were unbelievable. The cashier and manager today turned down a $50 dollar sale over .20 or they just didn't like the lady who was making the purchase. It was a question over a price difference and it was an extremely small amount and the manager would not allow for the price difference or call the other store the customer referenced. The customer was nice. I didn't expect to see that from the employees. It was crazy. I should've took video. read more

This store is kinda messy and items are not labeled well. Signs on the door say 75% off, but only a handful of items were on sale. I have always found everything I need at this store. I showed a few pictures on my phone what color I was looking for, and I was being pretty specific since I'm new to the DIY for hair. The girl that helped me was very honest and thorough, and showed me different products and options I could try. Prices are very reasonable, they have a huge selection of every day items and harder to find things that the local grocer/drugstore doesn't carry. Horrible Customer Service by far!! I walked in the store behind this nice black lady and the customer service reps acknowledged me but not her. She went on to get her items and so did I. She made it to the register first with items and I was shortly behind her, the reps acted like she did not exist. They rang her up and the lady left. When I got to the counter the rep perked up and asked if I found everything ok, did I have a sallys card etc... The black lady did not have this experience. Hmmmmm! Price Gouging during Covid19!! Went today to buy hair products. Of course we are not allowed in the store and business is conducted from the door. I asked the sales person for a pair of gloves in which she replied "They're only sold individually." Never did she mention they were $3.19 a Pair!!! On line a box of gloves/100pr are. @ $11.00... Well, I noticed The last time I shopped here their customer service was not that great. There was a young lady with long pretty hair that helped me with a purchase. She was probably one of the rudest unhappiest person that ever worked at Sally's. I mentioned that to the manager of the store and I'll she did was smile. So, I decided to right here on yelp. This location is terrible. They have a loud radio sitting up on a top shelf, blaring bad music. It made it really hard for me to concentrate on what product I was there looking for. When I was ready to check out, there was no one at the register. I heard two employees at the rear of the store talking..I waited. Then I walked back there to let them know I was ready. I walked back to the register. And waited some more, while they continued to talk. I finally dropped my items on the counter and left. It sounds cliche, but customer service is very important for small businesses like Sally. I can buy beauty products pretty much anywhere; I went to Sally to avoid bad service. If I could give them a zero I would! Every single time I come here the staff is completely rude and not helpful at all. As with almost every thing that has to do with beauty, it's about finding what works for you! Tried several things from Sally's that just didn't work for me and every time I go to return/exchange and the girls are SO rude. Their bad review has built up over many many trips to Sally's and always getting poor service. Not to mention, the ASSISTANT MANAGER is terrible. I honestly don't know how she got her position because she's the one I see all the time and she is by far the rudest. I recently went in to buy some gel nail polish. I went in and the girl working seemed like she had more important things to do than answer my questions and I was the only customer. I settled for 3 polishes because they had a buy 2 get one free which was good! I came home and one of the colors wasn't what it said it was( not the stores fault it was the polish manufacturers fault) and the top coat I purchased was completely solid. So lesson learned... open the polishes before you buy them to make sure they are the right color and they are not super old and solidified. read more

Wow, I am so surprised by the bad reviews. I've been going to this location for years to get all my hair dye stuff and misc. hair care products. I can't recall ever really having any issues. The staff makes it known they're there to help, product is almost always in stock, and the sales are great. Add in membership pricing, and its pretty good overall. I'd say my biggest gripe is the company changing the packaging of the after color treatment. Large bottle vs large squeeze tube. I like to dilute the cream and this new tube packaging makes it nearly impossible. The formulation seems to have changed a bit too but it still does the job. I just bypassed the packaging issue by reusing a bottle from the previous version. Love their Ion line, though. I get a lot of compliments on the rich color it produces as well as how shiny and soft my hair is. I got away from the Ion developer and started using the "Salon Care" brand developer. It's less harsh and my hair wasn't as dry after rinsing. Overall, love the products, no issues with the staff or location (aside from that loud bird recording outside), and will continue to go here for my hair coloring needs. read more

I say I like to try things at least twice...well, today was my second time coming in to this location. I came here because the drive is less for me than going to the one in Upland. Terrible customer service here both times, the gals at the register continually mumble when they talk to you, the manager is quite rude to the employees, and you have to be mindful of the prices when things are being rung up because the register doesn't always honor the sales price that is listed (both for regular and Sally Beauty Club buys). I always go to this location and some girls are really nice and others don't want to be bothered. I had a horrible experience with a girl the last time I was in. I was returning two bottles of two different brands of developer. The girl smelled the bottles and said one was not developer. I said, how is it not?? She just kept saying it's not. I went and got one off the shelf and put my finger in both and said these are the same and they smelled the same. She said to go back the next day and talk to her manager! I said no way this is ridiculous and don't appreciate being accused of stealing. She kept having a smirk on her face. I showed her both of my fingers turned white from the developer. BEWARE WHEN SHOPPING HERE! I came here on July 17th, 2018 at 9:37am. There was a brunette working the cash register. I came in and first thing I asked was what volume of bleach would be less damaging to my hair (I'm a blonde, and yes I'm aware the bleach is damaging non the less) and that could give me a more of a lift. And the girl at the counter told me everything was bad, it won't bleach my hair, seem like she didn't want my business and I've been coming to this particular Sally beauty supply for years!! I couldn't believe that she was actually being not even the slightest bit helpful instead she was saying that every product was extremely bad for my hair. Obviously she has never worked in customer service before or doesn't know how to deal with people. That woman needs to be let go asap! Sally's have been sending me emails for months to renew my rewards membership. And even offering a free gift when I renewed. And last week I received 30% coupon which expires today. So I decided to come in and renew and get something that I was running out of. The cashier seemed a little confused, yet really nice, about how to take care of the transaction. She then called an assistant manger over who came to help out. I wasn't understanding myself what we were doing and thought I'd have to do two transactions, but the assistant manager seemed really annoyed with me and my confusion, and what seemed like the last straw when I was trying to clarify something, she snapped up the product to go check out the price on a different register, while rolling her eyes, and I was simply shocked at her attitude. At that, I told her I understood what was going on, and thanked them for their patience. The cashier was continually pleasant and patient, but the assistant manager was rude, short tempered and basically horrible at customer service. I work at two restaurants, one of them very high end. If I treated my guests the way I was treated, I wouldn't have either job. I'm not looking to get anyone fired, but a class in customer service, and treating your customers with kindness and patience and appreciation for shopping at your store is very much needed for the people who are running this place. I've just read a couple reviews on here, and it seems I'm not the only who has had this problem. I hope the powers that be will start taking notice. In this competitive business world, this is just unacceptable. And I might just have to drive farther to another Sally's instead of the one a block away from my home if I ever have to deal with this again. Or I could just stop coming at all. :( read more
