I have been needing to buy a new curler. I have long/thick hair and curling my hair takes FOREVER! I went to Planet Beauty to get some advise on the latest and greatest. I was fortunate to have Valerie help me. She knows her products! Super knowledgeable, sweet and relatable. She sold me the Beach Waver Pro and I couldn't be happier!! I used it tonight to curl my pony tail to test it out. 15 mins!! Seriously. Cut my time easily in half! I can't wait to try it out with my hair down. Thank you Valerie and the Planet Beauty girls!! At entrance #6 same location as Rain Forest Cafe , saw a sign that states Nancy does eyebrows in the back. Asked an employee walking towards us, how much for eyebrow threading ? She didn't utter a word to us, just pointed with her index finger towards the framed price list up above by the glass window. We continue in the store to peruse through their selections of hair brushes , hair dyes , lotions, hair care products in the back section . They carried , Derma blend , smash box and Morphe brushes and makeup. Prices are competitive with similar type business. read more

I've been coming to this location at the Ontario Mills now for about 10 years. The manager, Valerie is a godsend! She knows her stuff! Whenever I have a specific need for my hair or skin regimen, she's my absolute go~to! Her customer service is definitely not basic. She always goes above and beyond with helping me and is patient with all of my questions. I've had a few products discontinued and I wouldn't have know it without Valerie informing me. If it weren't for the deals, I'd give this place one star, but damn! Everytime I'm in town I come by this store and 9 times out of 10 there's some ridiculous sale going on. I've scored my Enjoy hair care products for cheap here and yesterday they had a happy hour sale where it was buy one get one half off or buy three get one free. My only complaint are the employees are out to lunch (figuratively) every time I go there so here are a few suggestions: 1. Make sure you're up front with them and make them answer your questions. 2. Literally throw your merchandise on the counter so they know you're ready to pay. 3. MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS! I got jipped on the sale yesterday and had to go back and tell the girl she charged me 20 instead of 50 percent off! She gave a half ass apology. 4. Don't expect to get a refund. Right now they have a buy 3 get 1 free promotion - so I took advantage of that. I often have issues finding a foundation that fits my skin because I'm an in between colors and very pink undertone, but they actually had something that was a spot on match, so yay. Things I liked: Everyone was helpful The attendant tried a bunch of different make up on me and took her time to color match me. Got recommendations on skin care products and not just makeup Things I didnt like: The attendant let me leave with half my face covered in make up and didnt give me a towelette to wipe it off. I went in about a week ago to shop for a variety of makeup products. I am certainly not cut out for shopping and always feel a little overwhelmed as far as where to begin with so many choices in front of me; however, my son's wedding is coming up and it was a necessity. Val came to my rescue. Not only was she super friendly and approachable, but also extremely knowledgeable! She never rushed me or pressured me, but only gave lots of her time to help me make some good choices. It is overwhelmingly approved by most women because it is crowded with the most upbeat makeup products and shampoos. They are having a sale of two shampoo bottles being 25% off! So 90$ for two bottles, as of today. (Cant promise you the sale is still active by the time you read my review but okay.) A lady was trying to convince me to purchase a new shampoo and conditioner from Ava. This store runs their prices for the upperclass and I mostly just bought an expensive hair oil (41.52 with tax!) the whole store was really great. read more

The staff is super friendly and helpful, however, this place does NOT provide refunds if you are dissatisfied with a product and they will NOT exchange any cosmetics purchase if you are unhappy. They will exchange some stuff for store credit only, which is completely inconvenient if you change your mind on it. I have always shopped at Sephora and decided to give this place a shot but their return policy needs to change, otherwise they'll always remain being the underdog. read more

This is my first yelp review. I never leave comments on how I am treated but after going to here yesterday and was treated very rude and unprofessional I feel I needed to do this. I have shopped here before and was always treated nice by Alex, Paola and the manager. Alex even showed me how to do my brows different. But yesterday was not the same. I went in at opening because I needed hair dye and have a Groupon that is going to expire. First she opened late and me and other girls were waiting to go in. When I needed help with my hair dye I told the girl that I had a Groupon that I needed to use and she was super rude and made a big deal about it because I was using a Groupon and she said not all planet beauty's allow Groupon on hair dye. I used it before here. She ended up leaving me alone and leaving to the back and didn't want to help me at all instead of trying to help me use my coupon on something else that is ok. You can tell she gets something out of her sales because she wanted nothing to do with me or my Groupon. She's very rude and unprofessional. I understand there are rules to Groupon but again I didn't needed to be treated like I was nothing in that store for having a Groupon. The girls here are always super nice, but yesterday the one who was there in the morning needs help learning how to treat people who want to save a few bucks nicer. Just cause I have a Groupon doesn't mean I am cheap and that is how she made me feel. I ended up leaving without buying anything. This place is the absolute best! I'm new to makeup and have always avoided beauty stores because I've always had bad experiences at stores such as Mac. I came to Planet Beauty because tomorrow I have a wedding to attend but I recently had some acupuncture and cupping therapy that left dark visible bruises that need to be covered up. The employees were so helpful and kind. They answered all of my questions and even taught me how to best apply the makeup to look natural. I came because I noticed at another location, this store carries morphe as well as violet voss!! 2 brands in which I love so much but can't find very often without purchasing online. I dislike purchasing online because I like to see what I'm buying in person. When I came in on Friday May 18, all the girls were wonderful and ready to help and answer any questions. So, I completed a review early this month re: an experience here that was disappointing bc I really like this store and I had been coming here for over 10 yrs to get my hair products. I had been turned back when I tried to exchange or return a product. Since then I was contacted by the training manager who was super kind. She apologized for the misunderstanding and allowed me to return the product. I was also provided with these gifts (look at pic). When I went in today for my gifts I saw the friendly and frequent associate Candie who right away recognized me and apologized again for the experience I had in the beginning of the month.
