Very disappointing experience. If I could give zero stars, I would. I booked an appointment online because the website showed an appointment available in about 5 minutes. I arrived shortly after booking, only to be told by the stylist that they were busy and that another stylist was leaving. I explained that I had just booked an appointment online and was told to come in. She pointed to the three people waiting and said, "Yeah, and they are in front of you. I'm the only stylist left after this other one leaves, and we close in an hour, so you can wait, but I don't know if I'll be able to see you." I completely understand that businesses get busy, but the way this was handled was incredibly rude and dismissive. If the online booking system is allowing customers to schedule appointments that the salon cannot actually accommodate, that needs to be fixed. I would have been much more understanding if someone had simply explained the situation politely and apologized for the inconvenience. Instead, I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing them by showing up for an appointment their own system allowed me to book. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. read more

I always take my daughters here to get their haircut. We usually use the call-ahead option to get their names on the waitlist, so we can arrive about an hour after that to minimize our wait time while in the shop. The stylists are all so helpful and cheerful. They always make my daughters feel special and don't make the experience feel rushed. My oldest has always enjoyed the process of getting her hair done. My youngest usually doesn't enjoy it, but this time she was super excited and enjoyed being pampered a bit. They offer a wide range of hair care products in store and have a nice waiting area. Supercuts, you blew it by not taking appointments anymore. I called this morning for an appt with Visalia who is amazing. They take my phone number and send me a confirmation text. When I arrive she's just finishing up a customer and tells me there's one more customer in front of me because they don't take appt's anymore Not sure why the girl earlier did not know this. I used to go to men's barbershop but it seemed over priced so I tried Supercuts and got lucky with Visalia, so I kept going for years. She's in such demand I'm not going to waste an hour or so of my day waiting for a haircut. I'm going back to the barber and pay $8 more with an appointment not to waste my time. This place is so bad. I have long hair on top with a high fade. I went in and asked for a zero high fade and make sure you don't cut into the top hairline. The barber gave me a zero shave all the way up. When I stopped her and said I wanted a fade she just said "oh I just heard the zero". If you can see that I had a fade to begin with, shouldn't you make sure before you shave my head? On the way out I was combing my hair with my fingers and noticed she cut a bunch of hair on top. She notices and say "well we're understaffed and we need to get our clients in and out as fast as possible and that happens when we're rushing through our cuts"...ugh seriously? Lupe is a hair QUEEN!! I have been absolutely wrecked by hair stylists the past two times I tried to get my hair cut into a shag, over the course of a couple years. They were two separate genuinely heart breaking experiences. Lupe totally understood and was so reassuring about the whole process, and was even able to relate to me with her own bad haircut experiences. She didn't take any liberties without talking to me first and cut length off gradually, which I very much appreciate after going through I've been through before with my hair. I ended up LOVING what she did. It felt so absolutely wonderful to walk out of the shop feeling pretty with my new hair cut, instead of wanting to hide away until it grew out. I'm in shock by what my 15 year old daughter experienced at this place. As a minority, our hair is obviously thicker than a pin, but my daughter got told her hair was like "a black persons...you know their tangled knots in their hair" I am complete and utterly disgusted with this racist comment this woman made. My daughter comes in with a knot that has been taken care of before by an amazing hair stylist, Peter, but on this day the other woman decides to take advantage of my little girl and charge her more for the knot. Well she was raised right and knew what was going on. When that racist remark happened she immediately clapped back with "they are called dreads. And are actually used to protect hair" She is still only 15 so when the lady started arguing with her about the pricing, she made my daughter cry. We paid full price but told them we are never coming back again. A year later, and I need a quick blow dry for an event I'm running late for. The lady looks me in the eye and tells me to leave and that the manager does not want me or my family back in the store because we complained to corporate. I kept my cool and walked out. THEY denied ME business?? How the tables have turned. I will NEVER step foot inside that super cuts ever again because of their continued racist remarks and horrible attitude to children who have hair different from a white person. I recently had my hair cut by Peter Quintana at the Rancho Cucamonga Supercuts off Highland Ave. He did an amazing job. I couldn't be happier with my cut. Not only was he so kind and personable, but I brought in a picture of a cut I wanted him to copy and he took the time to consult with me on how we could make that cut look the most flattering on me with the shape of my face. The cut came out beautiful and the way he added the layers gave me so much more volume. I even got lots of compliments at work the next day. I am so happy to have found my new stylist. I have been getting my hair cut at Supercuts since I was a little boy - that's some 30 years of getting haircuts. I have been coming to THIS Supercuts for eight years - every month. Today is the last time I ever step foot in a Supercuts after being LIED to...I live on Day Creek - blocks away from this salon. I know they open at 10 am and wanted to squeeze in a haircut. I called them at 10:05 in the car on the way and was told it was 20 minutes. I asked to put in my name - I am on the way. They said they do not do that anymore. I said, I just got my hair cut last month and they did that. "It's a new policy." Okay, well no biggie, I am there in less than five minutes, brought my computer, figured I could do some work and wait 20 minutes. I arrived at 10:08am and was told the wait is an hour and a half. WTF happened in three minutes? I honestly felt like I was being pranked. There was two people in the waiting room, two people getting their hair cuts - two stylists and a lady at the front desk. This is blatant incompetence and I am not waiting 1.5 hours when three minutes ago the wait was 20 minutes. Unacceptable. The lies. The lack of customer service. The made up story about their new process. Anyways, it occurred to me that I am grown ass man. I don't have time to be dealing with this nonsense. I have an appointment at 11am at 18/8 Fine Men's Salon. Shame on you Supercuts. You lost a 30-year customer. read more

Extremely unhappy with the wait time. I called at about 10-10:15 am and wanted a dye and haircut, I was told I could be seen at 12:30. I arrived at noon, checked in and was told I didn't have an appointment and was a walk in, hmm ok, I said I can be seen at 12:30? Umm, the young lady said yeah. So I left and came back at 12:15ish and after waiting almost 45 minutes I asked how much longer? I was told they were short staffed and would be seen soon, I sat down and waited another 15 minutes and finally just gave up. I told the young lady to cancel my walk-in appointment and I wouldn't be back. Sorry, you just lost a customer. If you would be honest with your customers, maybe they would get upset and leave. Just as it is important for your staff to get paid and get tips, my time is equally as important as I planned my day around this schedule. read more

I've gone to this Supercuts pretty much my entire life. I went there for a haircut a few weeks ago. The woman who was going to cut my hair sits me down, goes through my hair for 5 seconds and says "oh you have lice". I had gone there with my mom so I got her attention and she asked the lady to show her one, she couldn't because "they move so quickly, it must have fallen down her shirt". We told her no, it's dandruff and she said no, it's lice. Of course, I was panicking because this lady pretty much just called me dirty. I went to the store and bought a 3 step lice kit. We did the ENTIRE treatment (my hair is down to my tailbone) and surprise surprise there was NO lice. My hair is now fried and it was extremely tangled for hours. That woman should not be employed if she can't tell the different between dandruff and lice. She handled the entire situation SO poorly. read more

I was very impressed with this place. My stylist's name is Lupe. She seemed to be in charge, she took our temperature, was very honest in telling us where we were in line, kept an eye making sure social distancing was being practiced and made sure we were taken care of in order. She was directing the other workers at all time, while keeping communication about my hair. I just recently cut my hair very short. She had a lot of knowledge and gave great advice. The picture I showed her meant my hair had to be cut shorter because I have thick heavy hair. She sensed my hesitation and did not force me. She told me to think about it and to go back if I was really sure. I really appreciated that and appreciated her. It was a good cut and I felt like a million bucks. Thanks Lupe and Supercuts. Came in for a cut for me and my daughter she got a trim I got bangs and layers, I originally had an appointment for great clips where I was quoted $15 for my daughter and $22 for me, however since I was there I ended up staying and I saw the price while waiting showing $26 for a cut and $28 for a cut with shampoo however my daughter and I did not get our hair shampooed only a cut i paid $55 puls tipped both $10+ I always tip since I also work in the service industry however after looking at the receipt and realizing me and my daughter where charged the same amount and overcharged I can agree with the other reviews to go else where or make sure you triple check with the person assisting you and ensure the quote you get aligns with what you are going to be charged. I pride myself on being fair and I wouldn't recommend this place based on ethics and doing business like this especially during Christmas time. read more

With all that goes on with being a father sometimes things slip by you and your stuck having to do things last minute. I haven't been to Supercuts in about 40 years. I'm 65 now but when I was mid 20s I lived about 15 to 20 drive from a Supercuts in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Back then you in the mid 80s you had a phone book and no such thing as internet. I wanted to get a haircut so I called them at 7:30 pm and asked when they close. They said they closed at 9PM so I said I was on my way. It took me about 10 minutes or so to get out of the house. I arrive at 8 PM one hour before they closed. They had the door locked but I could clearly see they had lots of people inside waiting for haircuts. Someone came to the door and said they were swamped and were not taking any more customers. I said just called 30 minutes ago and was told you were open until 9PM but they said they had to many people show up and locked the door. I found the address of their corporate office and wrote them a letter explaining exactly what happened. If I had just got a letter of apology and maybe a coupon for a free haircut or at least at 50% off haircut they may have retained me as a customer. Never heard a word from them. They have given up my business for the rest of my life after that. I would not recommend them to anyone ever, even a person I don't like. read more

If I could give this Supercuts location zero stars, I would. I decided recently to bring my 8 year old daughter here for a haircut. She just wanted a simple, shoulder-length cut so I figured I would just make an appointment at Supercuts and save myself some money instead of paying $25 for a kids cut at the high end salon where I get my own hair done. I asked them to wash her hair, do a simple short cut, and blow dry it straight. The cut came out fine (a simple cut with no layers) and my daughter was happy. I went to pay the bill and they charged me $52. FIFTY TWO DOLLARS! For a child's haircut! I practically choked when I saw the total but didn't want to make my daughter uncomfortable by causing a fuss. So I paid the bill and left. Paying $52 for a kids cut at SUPERCUTS is absurd. It continued to bug me throughout the day, so I decided to look at the Supercuts pricing online and realized that the numbers online did NOT add up to the amount that I was charged. I decided to call the store and asked how much exactly it would cost for them to wash, cut and blow dry her hair and the total that I was told was $40. I then explained that I had just been in to have my daughter's hair cut and that I was charged $12 more than I was supposed to be. The girl gave a fake and forced apology and told me to come back in for a refund of the $12. At that point I had already driven 25 minutes back to my house and wasn't about to waste my time driving back. I explained this to the girl on the phone and she said "Well I'm sorry for your experience" and hung up. Long story short, the people who work here are liars and scam artists. The girl who charged me $52 100% knew that she was over charging me and thought she would get away with it. Also, even $40 for a kids hair cut at a salon where all of the "hair stylists" are barely even out of beauty school is a joke. Save yourself the money and go to a nice salon where they won't rip you off. read more

After checking in at the store we waited patiently as our time came and went. Not only were we not acknowledged in any way as we waited, we watched a stylist buzz cut a boy whose father asked for a scissor cut on top. This was horrible service and we ended up leaving.
