Buffet. Chicken, shrimp catfish

Ok. I'm old. But this place reminds me of my childhood. An old fashion salad bar with cheese spread, ham salad. Braunschweiger. Home mad dressings. The food was delicious. What I remember growing up on. The wait staff is amazing. Attentive and friendly but not intrusive. A nice change of pace from a lot of the newer restaurants

Betty's hot beef. OMG THE BEST!!!

Sally's is always a place we look forward to going to. Made from scratch comfort food that tastes like Grandma's. Wonderful place for just two or the entire family. Open 6 a week, which is always a plus. Added bonus is that Sally is a huge supporter of local benefits/fundraisers. The community is so blessed to have Sally part of it. A MUST to stop in and enjoy a meal.

Excellent buffet and great tasting steaks. Busy every weekend, but we haven't had to wait for a table and food is served in reasonable time.

The vibe of Hip-Stir ha always been cool and kinda niche and this was no exception. If you don't know that they changed up their menu.. they did. It's not bad by any means, but I am pretty heartbroken about them removing the Spinach Artichoke dip. It was the best around and I'll be overjoyed when it returns. The new menu still features ramen, sandwiches and other yummy dishes. I ordered a side of Mac and cheese with my entree and the food was out in about 20 minutes which is great! Unfortunately my Mac and cheese was forgotten- our server apologized and went to "get that started", no worries. The next time our server was at our table I inquired about it again since it had been about 10 minutes, but she had forgotten yet again. She rushed back to "get it started", ok. At this point everyone was getting full and I didn't even want it anymore, but she returned a few minutes later with it. A little frustrating. The ramen has changed, unfortunately. My sister ordered the spicy pork (which has historically been amazing) and didn't even finish it, which is pretty weird for her lol. I tasted nothing but soy sauce and spice. I'm not sure where the aromatics went, but they need to bring them back asap. Don't order the carrot cake. It was served over coffee (yes, hot coffee) which ruined it. The cake was overly soggy and tasted of nothing but the coffee flavor. I'm sure it would have been great without it, the frosting looked great. I'll probably be back and love supporting the Fun not Fancy group in CR, but last night was a miss.

We had a party of 10 and we all ordered different things. My husband and I got the cheese curds. The honey Lemon aioli was a legit surprise and was SO good. My husband got salmon and loved the vinegrette salad dressing. I got the chicken marsala gnocchi. It was rich and salty and delicious. I've never had anything quite like it. I also enjoyed being able to enjoy the Tinsel pop up decorations as well.

Mine was absolutely awesome, all white meat, which I definetly prefer, it couldnt have been better. There are lots of cool automotive touches, vintage signs, and garage-style charm that give it a laid-back, quirky personality. It is the kind of place where you notice something new every time you look around. We were seated quickly and greeted by our server. We ordered waters and a couple of pops. It is a Pepsi establishment, so I went with a Diet Mountain Dew. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with extra crispy tots and a side of honey mustard. The sandwich was just the right size for lunch, and the tots were hot, crispy, and plentiful. The honey mustard was way better than expected--sweet, tangy, and perfect for dipping. My friend was excited to see an Impossible Burger on the menu. As a vegetarian, it is rare for her to have a solid lunch option. Daisy's even had vegan fare available, which was a nice surprise. I did not remember to photograph my lunch, but I have absolutely no regrets about eating it. If you are in the Cedar Rapids area, give Daisy's a try. Great atmosphere, great service, and some seriously great tots.

The sandwich portions are generous and come with a small side portion and sliced pickles. The pulled pork comes without sauce and when we went, they only had spicy and blackberry sauce. As far as flavor, we agreed the pork was kinda dry but okay. I had the blackberry sauce, which I found runny and not so flavorful. My boyfriend had the spicy and said it was good, but the kick lingered in his mouth. My coleslaw was weak too. Overall, the location is perfect for this kind of meal. It's a reasonable price for what you get - sandwich, side, and drink. Probably great for local lunches, but we wouldn't go out of our way.

The meat has a great smokey flavor and is very tender. The baked beans have quickly become a favorite and the coleslaw is a close second. They offer huge sandwiches which include 6 oz. meat, one side and a drink for $7.50 or larger platters for around $11. They never keep me waiting long and they have many BBQ sauces to choose from including some interesting ones such as cherry habanero and blackberry. They are usually located around the corner of 7th Ave. and 44th St. in Marion behind Arnold's motor supply. So if you find yourself in the area around lunchtime it's definitely worth the stop!

The food is not good.I got a beef brisket with no bun, with very little brisket. So that makes me think that the actual sandwich is very lackluster, based on the amount of meat for the price felt like a rip off. I got the regular brisket and not the fatty, but you would have thought they gave me the fatty one. Because half of the brisket was unedible. The brisket was very greasy And there was absolutely no smoky flavor to it. Only thing that help it was the chicago Fire BBQ sauce, which was okay. The honey cornbread was raw. It was not cooked all the way it was like biting it into a undone cake, had to immediately spit it out. The baked beans were okay at best.Tasted something like straight out of a can nothing special. Being from Kansas City, I know my BBQ, and this aint it? Now I gotta go home and take some tums.
