And speaking of construction why were members not given any sort of credit to compensate to not being able to use equipment including hydromassage??

They remodeled by getting rid of the machines that were in the ladies' area and moving the old machines from the common area into the ladies' area. The ab crunch machine now requires you to fully engage your arms and pectorals (which I am not supposed to do, by doctor's orders), and the leg press requires you to push up the entire chair part on which you sit, instead of the previous machine where you pushed the foot platform down. They also shrunk the height of the privacy walls by several feet so that every person that passes peers over the wall, which completely defeats the purpose of the separate section. I wish I didn't pay for a year membership in advance. I don't care how cheap it is, it's useless to me now. Everything else that I do at the gym is stuff I can just do at home.

But frankly I can't figure out why they need 2 to 3 lifeguards for a pool the size of a tennis court? Seems like it would cost a fortune and they look, at a minimum, to be very bored. Since all members sign all their rights away when becoming a member, why not just add a condition to cover the swimming at your own risk part? Minors need parents present, etc but the rest of us are totally capable of handling it on our own and making the place more affordable for all!

I heard they offered a $5 community class on Sunday mornings, so I decided to give it a shot. I…read morebrought my own mat but realized they had several to choose from on site (as well as yoga blocks and other assistance items). The teacher was friendly and taught a perfect, easy-going Sunday morning flow. The lights were dimmed and the mirrored wall allowed me to see if I was as aligned as I felt I was during certain poses. The music she selected was great: relaxed acoustic popular music versus the usual spiritual instrumental (both are great, but this was a nice change of pace)! The savasana was my favorite part. The teacher walked around and placed cold clothes infused with lavender oil over our eyes which took me from relaxed to super-zen. I've never been offered that before and it was awesome! It also gave me a way to wipe down my mat once practice ended. Overall, I had a great experience and hope to make this class part of my Sunday morning routine as often as much schedule will allow.
