New customer Monday night. Showed stylist and owner 3 pics of myself not what I got. NO REFUND.. ..but will fix ...what's to fix DISASTER... SAD......$127.00 plus tip

my hair after about 2 months

I got my hair done about a month ago now, by Emily and when i got it done she was very heavy handed and pulled my hair a lot. I was booked for a balayage but ended up with highlights and i was charged less for it. When my hair was first done you could barely tell it changed at all but then she informed me that she had put in a dark toner to get all the brassy color out and as i've washed my hair it's gotten lighter. I would recommend this salon if you aren't super picky about your hair and you want to get a good price. The quality of work was good, it's just uncomfortable while it is being done because she does pull your hair quite a bit. I also have psoriasis so my head isn't as sensitive as a normal person so it would be even worse than it felt for me. Other than that and the sketchy parking lot, I love my hair!

    The style I wanted

Girl was extremely rough on my hair and was really not taking any time with it and did the WRONG haircut. She also kept scratching me with her nails. This is a mullet not a 90s cut. I have some pictures below. You can't tell me that these are the same haircut. It was supposed to be granulated length and layers. Do not go here. I tried to restyle it at home because I thought maybe it was the styling but nope. It's also sideways. I asked if I could get a refund and they said no so I'm warning people. Edit: I got a second opinion from another stylist at another spa she agreed my hair was cut sloppy and not correctly. Luckily she could fix it.

Coming from a guy who usually gets his hair cut at places with an adjective in their name - fantastic, super, great - this was a jump for me. But I've been looking around for somewhere new to try, so when I met a stylist who works here I told her I'd give it a try. I'm a simple man with simple needs, as I've stated about haircuts before. In the end, it all grows back (although that's less and less true for me with each passing year... sigh) so I'm easy breezy when I sit in that chair. I didn't know what to expect in an adjective-less salon, so I just jumped in. They're located in the NW corner of 90th South and 13th West in West Jordan. Parking is a snap and I walked in about an hour before closing on a Saturday. They were busy, but the space is much bigger on the inside than you realize and there were plenty of folks around cutting hair. It's definitely a step (or several) up from my normal haircut haunts, but not so much that I felt uncomfortable. Just enough. I found Kara who was working that day and we sat down to talk about what to do. She definitely asked the right questions and listened to what I wanted. Although I'm not too picky she made sure to understand what I was saying and could meet my expectations. Out came the clippers and we were off! A few buzzes around the ol' noggin and I was whisked off to the sink for a shampoo and rinse. This is quite possibly the best part of a haircut and may have been the highlight of my week (read: month). I was chit chatting away and she pulls out a hot towel and wraps it on my face. Whether it was to shut me up (ya, I'm *that* guy when I'm getting a haircut) or it's standard procedure to give hot towel treatment (I'm going with the latter) those few minutes of being wrapped in warm face-cocoon were a slice of epidermal euphoria. I shut my yapper and let the world's sorrows melt away. Fellas, don't be afraid of the salon. Get your manly self down here for a cut and hot face towel. I don't know how the other stylists were, but Kara was solid when it came to taking care of the extracurricular head hair - y'know, neck, ears, brows. Solid. Ladies, they've got every kind of service you need--skin, nails, hair, lashes, and it's done by good folks in a nice space that's not over-the-top on prices. The whole thing only ended up costing me a few bucks more than I'm used to spending. When you consider being a grown man and not having to get your hair cut next to a chair that resembles a pony I think it's worth the investment.

    Cute new do by Breanne!

I LOVE getting my hair done by Breanne! My hair always looks AMAZING! And she does a fantastic job running the salon- it is always clean and has friendly, professional staff. Thank you Breanne for the fresh new look!

I went back to Kellie & Company today and Jamie did my hair this time. The color looks amazing! I get compliments about it every time I go out. While she was coloring my hair, I talked to her about how I was trying to learn how to curl it, and she curled it when it was dry to show me how she does hers. It was so nice of her to take a little extra time to teach me something new. I definitely recommend this salon and both Jamie and Rebekah!

    Cutest pixie cut/color

Just got the cutest pixie done by the amazing Lillie. She talked me through the steps and her suggestions based on the cut examples I showed her, all the while reassuring me to ignore my nay-saying family and go for it! I'm so happy with the cut and the colors that she made so vibrant and dynamic. In retrospect I should've tipped a bit more...but I'll make up for it some when I go back for a touch-up!

Fallon is excellent! I went in for a scalp treatment because I was dealing with reoccurring acne,…read moredry scalp and flaking. This time I had a severe break out. Fallon gave me a relaxing treatment with top notch care, knowledge, customer service and expertise. My scalp has never been better. They also recommend me products (shampoo, conditioner and tonic spray). These have helped to maintain a healthy scalp and I've even noticed hair regrowth. I will forever be a client of Fallon at HOF salon

it seems she has been trying to delete my original review so here's a new one…read more first of all i am honored to receive the famous "hope u heal" line u reserve for all ur bad reviews. guys this is an example of her condescending tone since our original call. i also want to say that although i do think Ariana's read on the situation was spot on and perfectly articulated, i had absolutely nothing to do with it. she is a complete stranger. if i were recruiting people to leave reviews, u would have more than just one couple things in response to ur last message: - a haircut this bad should be obvious to someone claiming to be a professional. - I dont think being a loyal customer entitles me to a refund, i think a bad haircut does. - i only mention being a recurring customer to emphasize 2 things-- the way you treat loyal clients with a **good track record**, and lost revenue for a business who *themselves* stated cannot afford a refund. - I was very careful to specifically not use the word shelf and that was intentional. - Ive had big short hair, i've had two wolf cuts, & i know how to style it. I would never request a jelly or anything resembling one. ever. (not that that's what this is) - I didn't request a blow-out. I was OFFERED one. Maybe it's not something y'all should offer in the first place if u will blame clients for accepting and use it to deny refund. - I wasn't shown the back of my hair, esp. not in final form. being in front of mirrors does not change that. this is low IQ. - I nearly accepted ur "resolution" bc u gave me no other option and i was genuinely trying to work with you. but ultimately, like i tried explaining on the phone, it would not have actually solved anything for me. simple as that. - yes actually... I did leave satisfied.. bc I didn't notice? and it's almost as if... that's the whole issue ???? hello ?? i want to make it clear that although i was preparing for a chargeback, i remained very polite and still tried my best to resolve this directly with the salon. i even tried to meet her halfway by suggesting a partial refund but she was not making the same effort, and became progressively rude. It's clear we're operating from fundamentally different premises. maybe that's the root of the problem here. Your position is that there's nothing wrong with the haircut itself and that I don't know how to style it. ok, I'll bite. for the sake of argument, let's assume that's true.... It still doesn't change the fact that this is objectively not the haircut I asked for or agreed to receive. on that basis alone, I am owed a refund due to service not as described. it doesn't matter if u think u can "make it better". improving something bad doesn't make it good, just makes it less bad. if you had any ground (or documentation) to stand on, u wouldn't have lost the case. having a "policy" does not mean you can do whatever you want. There must be exceptions for certain cases when mistakes are made. and you need to have discernment to know the difference from when someone's abusing the system. but that requires competency (in your field and in life), humility, and good faith. when a customer has been wronged, the burden should never fall on them to figure out a resolution that works for the business. It should be the other way around. why do i even have to explain this. If I were in your position, I would be mortified to hear a customer had this experience. my priority would be to understand what would make the situation right for them and do everything reasonably possible to make that happen. I personally would have offered a refund AND an adjustment. But ironically, that means taking accountability... fortunately for all of us, u have proven it yourself that you have never been capable of this (just a quick search to see how you respond to every bad review on here and Google) and to assume premeditation/malice is a really disappointing take on this situation and makes zero sense. why or how on earth would i plan to have a bad haircut? but if that's what were doing, i can do the same.... maybe you offer blow-outs for plausible deniability on haircuts gone wrong? maybe i wasn't shown the back on purpose so i wouldn't notice? i agree there are no winners or losers here, because at the end of the day i'd rather have my hair than a refund. but because i was so polite throughout the situation, you took advantage and at the end basically shoo'd me away & expected no consequence. the last text message you sent me speaks for itself. even a stranger was upset for me. by the way... I reiterated my points via email, not to rehash anything, but to have it all in writing for the case :) i've attached photos of my original review from Google, KJ's response from Yelp, and Ariana's review as well because it tickles me and they threatened to take it dow.
