I didn't want to write a review but my friends and family encouraged me to so I am going to follow their advice. The first time I was here for a hair cut went really well. I was recommended this salon by a friend, so I decided to be adventurous and get a color done for my next visit. The consultation over the phone went well as we discussed my hair might need to be pre lightened, but this was not for sure as they didn't see my natural color. I went in feeling confident I would get the color I wanted. They didn't pre lighten my hair, I didn't know enough about hair to comment about this. I won't say my stylist's name, but she did say she had double booked herself and was working on my hair and someone else's simultaneously. I think this is partly why the process was rushed. Not only did my hair come out an ashy blue, more gray if anything, (I am a natural medium to light blonde) they charged me for BOTH the pre-lightening (which they didn't do!) and the color. My total came out to over $250. Again, I didn't know enough about hair and thought this was normal. Just an expensive disappointment. I cried on my way home because I hated my hair so much. It wasn't until two days later I reached out via email and said that I didn't like my hair did they say they had charged me $120 for a service they didn't even do. This is all they offered to refund me. This would have never have been noticed had I not complained, I would have just been out $120 for a service I didn't get. I first was going to get my hair redone with them, but then I heard their employees talking about me over the phone while making a new appointment. Needless to say I was uncomfortable going back in and canceled that appointment. The blue has all but washed out after one wash and now I have dark gray hair. I do not recommend this salon, all in all an expensive disappointment. Very displeased with my experience and the treatment afterward from the employees (management was kind). read more

I got a short layered haircut with bangs from here (specifically from Scotlynn) and it went really well. Very clean salon, full size mirrors, good atmosphere. I could tell she cared about getting the details right, and asked clarifying questions rather than just cutting. Explained each step, without just rambling away. I booked a super last-minute appointment with Lexi and she was so nice on getting me in. She also helped me pick out how I wanted my hair to go so it would work with what I had previously had done on my hair. She was so kind and there was no awkward moments during the appointment. She made great conversation. She was such a cute and nice lady. I would definitely recommend Lexi. The whole environment was super sweet. I've been coming here for over 7 years, two different stylists. Original owner sold the place but still works there part time. Nice and bright inside. Hair and nails. Stylists listen well, and also offer suggestions based on your hair/nails. There is no hard sell to get customers to buy products. The stylists and the salon keep Instagram accounts so you can see their work. The Vagaro app makes it so easy to book an appointment. No more thing to call during working hours to book an appointment, it can be done by app. read more

I got my hair done about a month ago now, by Emily and when i got it done she was very heavy handed and pulled my hair a lot. I was booked for a balayage but ended up with highlights and i was charged less for it. When my hair was first done you could barely tell it changed at all but then she informed me that she had put in a dark toner to get all the brassy color out and as i've washed my hair it's gotten lighter. I would recommend this salon if you aren't super picky about your hair and you want to get a good price. The quality of work was good, it's just uncomfortable while it is being done because she does pull your hair quite a bit. I also have psoriasis so my head isn't as sensitive as a normal person so it would be even worse than it felt for me. Other than that and the sketchy parking lot, I love my hair! read more

Girl was extremely rough on my hair and was really not taking any time with it and did the WRONG haircut. She also kept scratching me with her nails. This is a mullet not a 90s cut. I have some pictures below. You can't tell me that these are the same haircut. It was supposed to be granulated length and layers. Do not go here. I tried to restyle it at home because I thought maybe it was the styling but nope. It's also sideways. I asked if I could get a refund and they said no so I'm warning people. Edit: I got a second opinion from another stylist at another spa she agreed my hair was cut sloppy and not correctly. Luckily she could fix it. read more

Coming from a guy who usually gets his hair cut at places with an adjective in their name - fantastic, super, great - this was a jump for me. But I've been looking around for somewhere new to try, so when I met a stylist who works here I told her I'd give it a try. I'm a simple man with simple needs, as I've stated about haircuts before. In the end, it all grows back (although that's less and less true for me with each passing year... sigh) so I'm easy breezy when I sit in that chair. I didn't know what to expect in an adjective-less salon, so I just jumped in. They're located in the NW corner of 90th South and 13th West in West Jordan. Parking is a snap and I walked in about an hour before closing on a Saturday. They were busy, but the space is much bigger on the inside than you realize and there were plenty of folks around cutting hair. It's definitely a step (or several) up from my normal haircut haunts, but not so much that I felt uncomfortable. Just enough. I found Kara who was working that day and we sat down to talk about what to do. She definitely asked the right questions and listened to what I wanted. Although I'm not too picky she made sure to understand what I was saying and could meet my expectations. Out came the clippers and we were off! A few buzzes around the ol' noggin and I was whisked off to the sink for a shampoo and rinse. This is quite possibly the best part of a haircut and may have been the highlight of my week (read: month). I was chit chatting away and she pulls out a hot towel and wraps it on my face. Whether it was to shut me up (ya, I'm *that* guy when I'm getting a haircut) or it's standard procedure to give hot towel treatment (I'm going with the latter) those few minutes of being wrapped in warm face-cocoon were a slice of epidermal euphoria. I shut my yapper and let the world's sorrows melt away. Fellas, don't be afraid of the salon. Get your manly self down here for a cut and hot face towel. I don't know how the other stylists were, but Kara was solid when it came to taking care of the extracurricular head hair - y'know, neck, ears, brows. Solid. Ladies, they've got every kind of service you need--skin, nails, hair, lashes, and it's done by good folks in a nice space that's not over-the-top on prices. The whole thing only ended up costing me a few bucks more than I'm used to spending. When you consider being a grown man and not having to get your hair cut next to a chair that resembles a pony I think it's worth the investment. read more

Kasey did a partial perm and barber style cut on my 15 year old son. I emailed the salon the very next day because his perm didn't take. I never heard back from anyone. My son said the rods were basically falling out most of the time (not sure if he needed a smaller rod due to the length of his hair). We pretty much paid $100 for a boys haircut. Prior to coming here for my hair, I had sent a detailed description of my hair currently (the roots were a pale yellow, the mid-bottom shaft was an ashy blonde) and had sent pictures as well. I made it perfectly clear that if they were unable to fix this, I was happy to make an appointment elsewhere, no problem. I was assured they could do it. I again reiterated I wanted my hair to be the same color, whether that was ashy, silver, a darker blonde, etc, I just wanted it to be the same. (Previous salon hadn't lightened my roots enough, even though they're a level 7 - 8 blonde to begin with.) I get there and there are 2 stylists going back and forth over what to do with my hair, and a decision is made. The decision relayed to me (level 8 on my roots, 10 on the ends) is not the decision that was later relayed to the owner/manager, but I digress. 1.5 hours later, I have odd colored roots (not pale yellow, but my hair is still weird and the coloring is way too warm.) The other stylist (not the one doing my hair... but the one who made the decision on what colors to use..) comes back and says (verbatim) 'I always find myself so disappointed with ColorBrand*. I want to trust it'll come out right but 80% OF THE TIME I SEE RESULTS LIKE THIS AND AM DISAPPOINTED.' UH?? What?! I don't want to be one of your test subjects! Why in the world would you decide to use a color on someone and then later tell them that 80% of the time the color turns out disappointing? Thank you for charging me $80 to just be another 'disappointing' hair statistic for your salon. The manager (or owner?) comes over after because I'm clearly upset, and says they should have bleached out my roots to begin with. The stylist tried to say I said I didn't want them bleached which was not the case at all. I said I'd prefer to avoid it, however, if that's what it took to get my hair the same color then so be it. I was then told they couldn't fix it today (I'd left work early and had to use PTO) but to come back and they'd bleach it out (it was the roots all over, not just the top.) No thanks. If that's what it took, they should have done that the first time, not colored my hair and then decided 'oh hey we should have bleached it and then color it again.' Super unprofessional, $80 down the drain, and literally a week later my hair is back to where I started with the grossly warm (and awful colored) roots. I'm so disappointed and would definitely not recommend coming here if you're looking for blonde results. The service was mediocre, I was talked down to condescendingly multiple times and was specifically told a product they didn't have faith in was used on my hair. Stay away. read more

I found the stylists to be mediocre and the over all business unpleasant to work with. Maybe it was just me. But I don't suggest asking for them to do a "color correction", you'll get tossed from stylist to stylist because I assume a color correction is too complicated for any of them to want to do it. I'd suggest spending your money elsewhere. read more

I went back to Kellie & Company today and Jamie did my hair this time. The color looks amazing! I get compliments about it every time I go out. While she was coloring my hair, I talked to her about how I was trying to learn how to curl it, and she curled it when it was dry to show me how she does hers. I came into the salon with about 2 inches of regrowth on my platinum hair and was looking to do something a little different. Everyone was very friendly but I was really disappointed when my hairdresser didn't ask me a lot of questions about what I wanted I told her I wanted high light on my roots to lighten them and some very light low light through the rest of my hair. I posted below what I showed her and and what I got. She didn't ask if and questions such as how dark, how dramatic, how much or even if I liked it on the ashier side or more yellow. The only thing I was asked is how much length I wanted off. I am not a big fan of stripy highlights and that is what I ended up with. I'm not unhappy with the results but I do not love it I wish they would've communicated more with me. read more

WORST HAIRCUT EVER!!!! As they were sitting me they had a sells person trying to sell to the stylist. Instead of focusing on her client, the stylist is taking to and buying things. I went there to get my haircut so I could donate it. I had a picture of what I wanted (picture showed front,side and back). What she gave me was so far from want I wanted. I had 15 inches taken off, so I had plenty of hair to work with. The stylist proceeds to hack away at my hair. I end up with a horrible mom style rather then a cute layered bob. I had the stylist dry and style my hair. It looked like she knew she butcher me and just gave up on making me look good. I will never go back. Very unprofessional and horrible work read more

Just to be fair, this place seems to be popular because I saw a lot of customers there, but my experiences were terrible both times. I cut my hair at this place twice. My first experience was not satisfactory at all but I decided to try again after few months with the hope of better experience this time. Unfortunately I got the same girl again. I think she is a junior stylist who doesn't have many appointments. Anyway, I showed some pictures of hairstyle I wanted. I have had the same haircut last 15 years so I know how other stylists do to make this style. However, what this stylist did was just run the scissors about 10 minutes and that was it. She didn't even part my hair. And of course it looked very different from the pictures. It usually takes 30-40 minutes of cutting time but she spent only 10 minutes on my hair (including bangs)! My 7 year old's haircut takes more than that lol. I politely told her that it looked very different from the pictures and I pointed out some differences. The stylist complained that the model's hair was different from mine. Oh come on. My previous stylists could make this style but she can't? I used to go to high-end salons and I enjoyed watching their techniques and professionalism. She showed none of those. I quickly realized she doesn't have much technique and experience, so I spent next 20 minutes asking her to fix my hair as close to the pictures. I am new in Utah. I need to look for a good salon again. If you want a specific style or want hairstyle that requires certain skills, you should avoid this salon and look for salons that have professional stylists with skills. This is a everyday grandma's salon. If you are not picky about your hair, this is a decent place. Otherwise don't waste your money here. read more

If it weren't for the associate Lauren who works there this would not be a positive review. My daughter paid over $100 to get her lashes done that was supposed to last 3 to 4 weeks they fell out 4 days later. When my daughter called back she was told that they couldn't do anything for her but a fill which she would have to do anyway and they wouldn't be out any money..so I went in person today and talked to Lauren who was absolutely genuine professional and issued her a prompt refund! I had an appointment at 10amto get a cut and color and an appointment at one for my nails. I got there a little early, but they were very prompt to greet me and make sure I was comfortable. I got my cut and color done by Brianne (Sp?) who was fantastic! She made sure I had the color I wanted, and checked in with me often while cutting to make sure I liked it. When I was finished there was still about a half an hour left until my manicure, but Alyssa got right on it and cut her lunch short so that she could get me in quickly. All in all, great service with a friendly, inviting atmosphere! I'd absolutely recommend checking this salon out. read more

I've been there twice - once for a haircut and brow wax, and once for a brow wax only. Great service, I really loved my haircut and thought my brows looked great both times. My only issue is that they do brow waxes in the shampoo chairs. Those things just aren't comfortable, and it would be nice if they had a table or chaise. read more

It was a complete and total rip off!! She cut my hair very short against my specific instructions and you can barely tell I had and color treatment at all!! Great salon with wonderful stylists! Always friendly and I love my haircuts and color from Breanne, she gives the best scalp massage during the shampoo and also does amazing facials! I ALWAYS get great compliments on my nails by Alyssa. Also love my lashes by Lauren. A great full service salon and the prices are very reasonable as well. Tristan is amazing. My daughters and I go to her every 6 weeks. I have gone to different stylists and they are ok. I go to Tristan and my husband tells me how great my hair looks. Had a good impression once I walked into the place. Kinda sketchy looking from the outside since the windows are tinted. But nice atmosphere and interior. I had a balayage appointment with Rebekah. Was aiming for a purple red color. More purple based though. I have Asian dark brown/black hair btw. Kinda disappointed cause at first was worried it'd be too red and too bright but then it turned out to not really show up. And it's been a few days now since my appointment and I've only washed my hair twice (every other day) and I've seen the dye has been coming out and washing out. It's really faded and no one notices :( kinda really disappointed.. Pretty pricey too considering its washing out and not showing up all that well. She was nice though and asked me questions to make sure what I wanted but I guess we didn't leave the dye in long enough or something. Cause it looks like I just spent 85$ on nothing. I scheduled an appointment to get my nails done because I had gone somewhere before and was very unhappy with the service. Hoping to get better service, I went to Kellie and company. I loved the girl that did my nails... But she was new at doing nails. Very new. I wasn't aware of this when I scheduled the appointment... Not knowing my nails were going to take almost 3 hours, I brought my 3 month old with me. I'm very unhappy with the way my nails look and feel.. Lumpy, bubbly from the gel.. It's just not what I was expecting at all. It's the next day and my nails are already lifting... I got charged full price for these nails. As sweet as the girl was, I'm very dissatisfied with this service and don't recommend nails at this location. read more
