AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS I had one of the worst salon experiences of my life at Salon 3 East. I booked a simple blowout with some curls -- nothing complicated -- but was met with pushback and attitude the moment I arrived. Instead of listening to my request, the stylist (who turned out to be the owner, Freida) insisted on doing it her way. She straightened the top of my hair near the roots and curled only the bottom, which left it looking frizzy, flat, and messy. I politely asked her to fix it multiple times, but the more she touched it, the worse it got. Rather than listening or trying to improve the situation, Freida became increasingly rude and dismissive. I was shocked by how unprofessional and cold she was -- especially as the owner. I left the salon in tears, completely humiliated and disappointed. I would never recommend this place to anyone. If they can't even do a simple blowout, how can you possibly trust them with anything else? read more

I have been seeing Dorothy for five years for cut and color. Then Covid hit and it was difficult to get in but Dorothy and I worked out an awesome plan and together we came up with the "let's go gray" naturally plan. Every couple of weeks I would go in for new haircut, it would get shorter with each cut until eventually nothing but grey. Freda did an amazing job helping to correct a bad cut I had elsewhere. She patiently listened to my explanation of what went wrong and quickly saw how the prior cut didn't work - without judging me or the other hairdresser (it was just a cut that did not work and was unfortunately short). She styled my hair in a way that works for me - having just met me. She's super kind and genuine. Highly recommend. read more

Judy T is an absolute genius with color! I started working with her since before Salon 3 East opened (~2005, I think?) and over the years as my natural color has, uh, "disappeared", you'd never know - somehow she has managed to adjust the formula as my hair has changed to keep the color, depth and shading perfectly consistent and natural looking (a true dark auburn with no magenta or orange undertones that make many red colors look "fake). Her haircuts are also excellent, as I've gone back and forth from long to short and in between over the years, every transition looks great. The only time I ever have a regret when I leave Salon 3 East is when I have NOT taken Judy's advice! read more

I have been seeing Tiffany for over 10 years now for my hair cuts!! No one could ask for anything more!! Tiffany is beyond constant in her hair cuts and her suggestions are amazing! I had been going for a manicure/pedicure to Center Stage in Paoli for a while. Mind you I do not have this done often, and had just gotten comfortable with the shop and especially with the services of Sherry. When I went to make an appointment I found the place was closed..... Oh no, was I going to have to find someone to fill my comfort level all over again? Well luckily a friend clued me in that all the people from Center Stage had moved over to the newly open Salon 3 East. And I was very glad to hear that cause my stylist who I had only used once is there too. I do not indulge in pampering very often. Please look at my roots you can see what I'm talking about. But once I get comfortable somewhere I want to be able to go back. Salon 3 East has been opened by the previous stylists at Center Stage. The place is nice and modernly set up in the center where the King Street Grille used to be on Kings Street. It has a wide open effect, a brand new pedicure seat and....... Sherry- who does a very relaxing manicure/pedicure procedure. She does not cut cuticles, but rubs them away. Hey! I've gotten fungus from other places and I'm really particular where I go-if I go at all for mani/pedi. And I love the way Judy has cut my hair, what little I have left. So that is my 2 cents on this new place. Of course there are other stylists there, but I'm not about to bounce around. If you are looking for a new hair cuttery, try it out. I just went for a spa pedicure and manicure on Saturday. I have been trying local places for a while and have never really found a good place to go. Salon 3 East is very nice, clean and bright. They are very nice and welcoming, immediately taking coats and offering coffee/tea/water as soon as I arrived. I was a little apprehensive about the mani/pedi when I saw that there was only 1 station providing these services. What a wrong assumption! Cheri spent serious time on both my hands and my feet, cleaning up all of the winter blahs. She was very personable and fun to talk to and did a fantastic job. My hands and feet have never looked better, even a couple of days later. I would highly recommend this for a mani/pedi. read more

I have been going to Tiffany since I was a freshman in high school (8 years) and she has never failed to do a good job! Tiffany does an amazing highlight job that looks great for months! I have also had Tiffany style my hair for my multiple proms, weddings and graduations and she does a beautiful updo. In addition they are always very accommodating in terms of appointments and getting people in and out as efficiently as possible, without sacrificing quality. read more

I have been going to salon 3 east for an extremely long time. Tiffany Grant is my stylist and she always thoroughly asks what I'm there for and offers her thoughts as well. She always nails my color. This salon has taken care of my mom for over 20 years. My mom has Alzheimer's and was not able to do much right before my nephews wedding. We took my mom to the salon and they not only did her hair but her make up and made my mom feel like a Queen. The salon is professional, caring and very friendly . Last night I watched an employee (presumably an owner or manager) berating a family with small children for parking in their parkinglot while going to another local business. It was clear the family was confused (the signage about reserved parking is pretty poor), and immediately offered to move the car. The employee from the salon could not have been nastier with the way she handled the situation and continued on her tirade even after the family had already started putting their children back in the car. I am sure this is a frustrating and recurring issue for them, but the way this person handled the situation was sickening. There are a lot of options when getting hair styled, so I will head elsewhere when I need to. Because I simply can not endorse management with character issues like what I saw last night! read more

I am so glad I switched to this Salon ....They do great color, blowouts, and waxing. Next I am going in for a cut. Tiffany gave me a beautiful new variation on my own color and Alma is the best at waxing and shaping eyebrows. She also gives a fantastic blowout that lasts for days. There is a new blond stylist who's name I forget (it begins with an M) who also does beautiful color and really listened to me when I told her what I was looking for; It seems that all the stylists know what they are doing and they treat their customers well, unlike other places where people seem to have "attitude." read more

Salon 3 East saves the day. This salon accommodated my daughter and 4 others on her wedding day when her scheduled stylist canceled on her that morning. Even allowed her make up artist to come in to do our make up. Their hospitality was over the top and we are so thankful for this. My daughter looked beautiful and got the style she wanted. Bad business practiced- poor customer service. My 17 year old made an appointment for a prom hairdo. Was told it would be between $35-40. AFTER they do her hair, they tell her it will be $70! Then they claimed the person who told her 35-40 wasn't their regular receptionist and that they were already giving her a discount at $70!!! She didn't have $70. So they "excepted" $60 after trying to get her to call someone to come pay the rest. THEY SHOULD HAVE stuck to the price my daughter was told and handled the incorrect price quote with their employee, not make my daughter (the customer) pay for their mistake!!! They TOOK ADVANTAGE OF HER because she is young and too sweet to make a fight. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN AND I WILL MAKE SURE EVERYONE I KNOW HEARS ABOUT THIS. read more

I have bounced from salon to salon before I discovered Salon 3 East, Dorothy, who is the owner is the first hair stylist I have ever been to that listens to what I want, and gives me an honest opinion, and ultimately colors/cuts my hair based on what I want! She is a fantastic hair stylist, I always trust her to do a good job and I have always walked away happy! Prices are very fair and reasonable the support staff are very friendly as well.
